Disappointed with the quality of service at this location. In fact there isn't even any service, especially in the men's sports apparel section. The store is almost always extremely understaffed and if you do decide to come and shop at the men's section don't expect to be helped. There's absolutely nobody to help out when looking for a particular size, and even if you're lucky enough to spot an employee who's passing by they refuse to help. It's almost like nobody here at this store wants to work for their money. It's such a shame especially that this store has a lot of great products but combine that with a lazy and unhelpful staff team and it just kills the whole vibe. read more

I've shopped at Macy's aventura Mall for as long as I can remember... it's was of my favorite department stores because they always have tons brand name clothing, jewelry colognes, and home accessories but it has gone down over the years and it's not the same shopping experience. I went shopping with my wife last Sunday and they had 15% discount on the entire store so we're bought some some gifts for the holidays, some perfumes etc but I hate how they always push you to get the Macy's credit card to "SAVE" even more. In this case they kept offering us 3 times at different registers that if we apply and get approved we would get an additional 20% OFF plus the 15% and sounded like such a good deal to pass up so my wife enrolled got a proved and we made over $500 in purchases, handbags, cosmetics, more perfume for gifts and all because of the "Good deal" we were getting... It was al great until the next day we were reading the fine print of the credit card terms thats it says that you cannot get the 2 discounts combined ... so we called customer service to confirm this information and sure enough we just got screwed by the pitch of the sales people because they make it sound like such a great deal but it's all a lie... so now we have a card that we didn't want, a hit on our credit and a not a good deal at all.. I will go back and return some of the stuff and talk to the manager for false advertising and miss leading the customers.... read more

Ok so they spent so much money on the new side of the mall which includes Macy's, but the bathroom I am in is horrible. Looks like the original bathroom from when the store opened. I went into Macy's in Aventura, to look for a wedding band for my husband; In the Jewlry section Olga was the person to help me. She provided the best customer service I've experienced in Macy's. She was attentive, patient and gave good advice. Not once did I feel rushed. I appreciate the genuine kindness I received. BCBG Department Manager is very rude and unprofessional. I bough a dress on sale without tag. I didn't pay attention because I was with 2 kids and the salesperson didn't advise it should be there. I found another dress for event and came to the store to return it. But manager said the dress is in unusable condition, but it was absolutely new just without tag, the same as I bought it. They even didn't offer store credit. Just said her salesperson instructed me about tag. And she DOESN'T WANT TO WAIST HER TIME WITH ME. It's incredible, have never seeing that before. read more

This review is specifically for the men's shoe department. We went looking for dress shoes for my husband and the associates in the department stood behind the cash register and ignored us. When we approached them to ask for assistance in showing us tuxedo shoes we were told "what you see is what we have." Needless to say the complete lack of customer service turned us off, we went to another store and got the shoes with a very helpful and knowledgeable sales person. Macy's- employ folks in your departments that give at least one F about the products! No wonder your stores are closing and you are losing business to online retailers than can do it better and with a smile. read more

At this time they are restocking, parking is great and their lil cafe is open! Do not buy jewelry from this location (quite possibly all Macy's) spent a good bit of money 3k+ on a ring, improperly sized causing gems to be lost. after many many attempts to fix it, they order a new one fast forward 8 MONTHS we go to check on it, no record etc etc. Today they call, "it just came in" yeah right I'll believe it when I see it. Their selection of products is pretty good I was able to find something in the store that i couldn't vac home which made me happy. Channel make-up counter: 4 stars Super nice attendants, very knowledgeable about the products. Gave me a couple samples of lotions to take home with me - yeii. I love that I can go there, ask for what I want, and if I don't want to get anything else after they offer they don't try to push the products on you. Nice also that they were joking with my husband at the end of the day - he was so tired I could have left him with the ladies at the counter and he wouldn't have even noticed. Benefit make-up counter: 4.5 stars I prefer this Benefit to the one at Dadeland so much (I have nothing against men wearing or selling make up, but I want my consultation to be done w/a woman that is more likely to have my skin type - rather than a man who certainly doesn't). Wow ~ I had never had a more enthusiastic girl take care of me at the Benefit counter in Macy's. I didn't catch her name, but on Saturday they all had names of the new perfumes, and she was 'Gina'. She was so nice and friendly, if I would have allowed her to talk three more minutes I know my will power would have vanished and I would have walked away with half the products they sell if not more. But in the end I walked away with a kit for smokey eyes - yeii! I had a happy make-up buying moment at Macy's. I came here about a month ago with my son in the search of a suit. Is not easy to find a nice suit for a teenager to fit right. We were going crazy looking around and an employee name Clifton came to the rescue. He was extremely helpful, show us few options and my son got an awesome suit with the right fit. Today I came with my boyfriend to get a suit for him. I was looking for Mr. Clifton and I could not find him. We have no experience in suit measurements and my boyfriend was confused about sizes. My god out of the blue, far away I see the guy! Yes! Clifton. I came close to him to ask for his help!!! He is amazing by looking at my boyfriend he already knew the size he was and the size he needs in a suit. Spectacular!! We could not be more happy. Pro's - everything about this Macy's as a store Con's - The employees in 1/3 the store seems to have shitty attitudes. As far as the selection itself, it's great. The second largest Macy's I have been to compared to the one in NY, NY (so far). Great selection. They have a building for women's, 3 floors and a building for the men's and home, also 3 floors. There is a tasty little restaurant in the womens and an ice cream / snack like counter in the mens. Now my problem comes from how the employees act, and I have shopped here for 4 years, I go many times a month and am a Macy's card holder. (Probably why I go so much) so I really know how these people act. When I ask for help people usually brush you off, don't give any effort, you know unless they think you're buying an expensive enough item that their commission is going to be worth it. I have encountered so many rude people, eye rolls when you ask for help. Nobody stays at their counters. You stand around at the register on the 3rd floor and you see a bunch of employees just chatting with their friends. The juniors department is hell, now I can sort of understand because you have a bunch of bratty teens there who don't know how to act decent but it also feels like that is who they have hired to work there too. As far as deals they'e good at advertising them, sales are decent, I do actually believe it is worth it to get a macy's card, mostly if you shop there a lot. This particular Macy's has fashion show events and little events that are like parties to the sections. this really is nice and a fun way to shop, they have prizes as well. I was at one of the fashion shows they had to show the new collection for INC, it was very nice to watch. They have a cooking class as well in the mornings, I believe it's Saturday if they still have it. Out of all the macys this is one of the more involved with the customers and I really like that. read more

Constantly harassing you to see if they can ring you up. Also, if one salesperson is already helping you and you ask another for help, they'll simply turn you away once they realize the first salesperson is already likely going to ring you up. Staff at Clinique station were unwelcoming. Didn't approach to help me until I was going to apply foundation on my own because no one greeted me as they were carrying on their own conversation. The male finally greeted me and looked at me and wanted to confirm I wanted something with more coverage then I already had? I wasn't wearing any make up. It sounded like an insult. I came in for them to help find a color for my face, As I had bought one online that I didn't feel matched. She used the one I bought to put on my face as a comparison, and really didn't take care to apply it in a professional manner. I had a streak of pure foundation on my face that I took her foundation stick to blend in myself) and told me that was my color. Please get new staff for this station. read more

OMG what an incredible sale at Macy's today. Purchased a pair of jeans that were $109 and 30% off. Went to pay with my Macy's card and had an other 20% off coupon. That's only $57! Plus I got back $10 Macy's dollars to come back and use on Tuesday or Wednesday. So I decided to buy another pair of jeans and got the same discount again. In the end I got two pairs of jeans for the price of one and $20 to buy more this week. read more

Had an issue with a watch from an online purchase and was instructed I could bring it to the store. Entered the Mens department Fossil watch booth there and the young lady was no help. She stared at me from the register with a bothered look and didn't want to approach me at first. She stated something at a coworker and giggled, laughed and smiled but had no other expression on her face with a customer but what seemed to be bothered. Again I repeated my situation. She then preceded to walk away and pass it on to someone else forcing me to repeat it again. I think further training could of helped there. Dont try to walk by the Macys counter on the way to Sephora. A rude woman named Masha will stop you and offer you hundreds of samples in order to become "her client" and do whatever she asks. She will force you to spend money you dont have in order to get the samples "she normally trades for making payments." It is not even worth walking past the benefit bar to try to get to Sephora. Me and my girlfriends (after hearing Masha talk badly about my weight behind my back - and l do not tolerste fat shaming!) will be going to Ulta only from now on. read more

The store is fine, always with good buys and a helpful staff. However, I have had more than one problem with the credit card department. That is, I am on auto pay for the full balance every month, and they have taken out only the minimum, affecting my credit rating by leaving a monthly balance. Despite the fact that I instructed to pay in full every month. So I would advise everyone to carefully monitor their statements. It has become such an annoyance that I have closed my credit card account. read more

My fiancé and I registered at Macy's for our wedding knowing it had a great selection and that Macy's has fantastic customer service. I am a Macy's fan to begin with, but my experience with Michael Brown at the Wedding Registery a few weeks ago was far beyond my expectations. We registered at another Macy's and came in here to update and change a few things. They have a huge selection he was happy to take his time to show us things and help us figure this registry thing out. At one point I couldn't decide what pillows to get for the bed and he completely redid the bedding and pillows to show me. If you are handicapped, do not shop at macys women's Aventura store. On oct 30, 2013 their handicapped bathrooms were locked. The other stalls were FILTHY. I complained to a corporate rep in black suits who were visiting that day. No response. Also the sales reps don't help handicapped people in the dressing room, like helping you bring in clothes etc. especially in the petite dept. Also called the executive office and receptionist said they were being repaired. On two other occasions in dec the women's bathrooms were filthy. How can a dept store like macys have no concerns about the health of their customers? Nasty bathrooms. I have tried to email the photos to executive offices but no reply. All I got to say is... THIS B*%CH IS BAD!!!! Her name name is Nikki and she is at the Benefits Counter at Macy's in the Aventura Mall. She does not just "do brows". She is an artist!!!! I went to a waxing shop and yes I was just looking for the cheap clean up and brow fix for the moment. I ended up loosing half of one of my eyebrows. I went to Nikki just by chance because I was looking for a way to fix this mess I had gotten myself into. NIKKI took the time to tell me what was wrong, how long it was going to take for it to grow back correctly and what to do in the meantime to get through the drama. LOL She DID NOT try to pressure sell me into buying all the Benefits products that were on display. She asked me what I had at home in my own makeup kit and how to use is to duplicate what she had done in the store. Even though I didn't buy anything that day, I did come back to buy the smoky eye kit. And did use her name so she got the credit. This past Saturday after three months my eyebrow finally grew back. So I went straight to NIKKI to have her work her magic on my brows. Needless to say My brows a dang near perfect. I still have a little ways to go, so by December all my fullness should be back. Very disappointed in the clothing line for women! Everyone is not a size 2. I wanted to purchase a suit for a meeting and what they had tonight was not up to my standards. Polyester ! They offered Tahari and Kasper however the styles and quality were boring and dated! Even Lauren for women needs help! I have written a complaint on the website no RESPONSE! I called to express my dissatisfaction with the executive office and spoke to an assistant again NO RESPONSE from the manager of the store or anyone else! The buyer at Macy's needs to go back and get another perspective or find another job! The floor staff wants to help but their hands are tied! Wake up Macys and get your act together! Firstly, they did not open the outside entrance until 10:15 in the morning; opening is at 10:00. When I phoned the store to let them know that there were several people waiting along with me, the customer service rep asked me, "who is this?" Really?! A customer, that's who. Once inside, the escalator was inoperable, roped off, machine guts exposed. I had to carry my my one-year-old up the other side (because the elevator is on the complete opposite side of the store from where I entered). If you've been here, you know those escalators are pretty long. Sheesh. After catching my breath, I made it to the children's department. I made a quick return, with an overly courteous love of an employee (thanks!) and proceeded to browse. Here is why I really never frequent this store: there is too much! To many little sections; it's overwhelming. As I was leaving, two employees were having a rather loud, profane discussion. Yes, in the children's department! And, closer to the human resources department, another employee was having a loud conversation on her cell while straightening the racks. There are serious problems with customer service. Just had a furniture delivery from Macy's to Surfside, Fl. Wilmer and Andrew went above and beyond to get my sofa into my high rise condo. After many attempts they miraculously got it into the elevator and up to my condo. What an amazing feat! They were professional, polite and never gave up.
