We hit most of the small private gown stores in Broward County so every month we check the new inventory at Dillard's and other big department stores in hopes to get lucky. The wife picked out a few gowns and the staff lady was quick to provide a fitting room and the frenzy began. Three black gowns in different styles and each not meeting the desired appearance needed for a purchase. Excellent prices here with a huge inventory. The men's shoe section at Dillard's has always impressed me offering companies like Cole Haan, Polo, Sperry and Ecco including sandals from Reef. The only negatives here today are as follows: The upstairs bathroom in the women's section was out of order and I was directed to the bathroom on the first floor. This department store is a ghost town and in dire need of a facelift. The escalator was marked with a strange stain. read more

The customer service in the ladies formal wear on the second floor was amazing. The employee was smiling the entire time that she was helping me in the fitting room. The men's area is on the first floor with a perfume section, lots of luggage and bedding. They even have a Starbucks in Dillard's near the Broward Mall entrance. read more

Why is it that this Dillard has an issue with employees! pure laziness!! This is not the first but the second time that I've had in a problem with shopping around the whole upstairs ladies department with clothes from everywhere, including pajamas, and I was told that I can't leave those items that I no longer wanted in those apartments and bring it back to the original department where those clothes came from like I'm sorry what do you pay these people for? Also, is it a thing that you can't return something to any department it has to be the department that you bought it in? I bought a shirt upstairs in the ladies department. I was told I couldn't return it anywhere downstairs. I now have to walk all the way up to the department to return something? I must say Zae in the ladies department was absolutely amazing and listened to my frustrations, and I asked her if there was a manager and she apologize and said no there wasn't at the time. I guess Dillard's has its own set of followers who love the store. I have never been a big Dillard's fan but I do like to stop by every time I am near one to check out the sales and clearance items. My friend was going to a wedding..so off we go shopping...In and out of every store...uggg I can't imagine trying on so many dresses. Can someone explain to me why ALL women's fitting rooms do not have the ac cranked down to like 60 degrees? Trying on clothes you just sweat! ON and off..repeat! This is a large Dillard's store. I like the layout because the women's department is grouped together. This makes it easy for me to find what I am looking for. Dillard's does not have too many sales. When they do, the discounts are pretty great. I also really like their shoe department. They have so many styles and brands. An associate is happy to order a pair of shoes and have them shipped to your home if they are out of your size. Did I mention their purse department? It is fantastic. They have so many colors. I love browsing and sometimes buy a purse. They sell unique purses, so I will not see anyone wearing what I am, most likely. read more

A Ok location for this anchor chain. It was pretty much the standard model with all the things in the places you'd expect them. It felt dated and probably could have used a face lift to bring it up to date, but wasn't anything too bad, just older. They had staff throughout and several register bays open as well. The shoe area had a good clearance area, so check that out if it's still there when you arrive! I like looking through the home decor and kitchen areas cause they always have fun things! Janie is the intimates section and an amazing life changer who should be celebrated! I'm a tired mom of 2 and stopped in this past weekend to grab another bra. I noticed my fit might be a little off so when she suggest starting with a fitting I happily took her up on it. Go figure I was wearing the wrong size. And she totally nailed it. I explained what I was looking g for and she pulled a few to try, walking me through all the reasons I needed to go tighter in the band even though I was very resistant. Well I wore my new bra today for the first time and it was, dare I say, as far as bras go, pretty comfortable all day! And the best parts: first of all my posture was better all day. Like better than it ever is! Second when I took it off at the end of the day, I realized I hadn't even really felt the weight of my breasts all day because I had been so well supported! Came here for the first time since I was a teenager this past Labor Day weekend. I was in search for a particular purse that I saw on their website. The whole store is very clean and organized. Even their clearance sections were pristine. I located the purse I wanted but found one even better next to it. That right there is why I still like shopping in person versus online! Employees were friendly & helpful but not overbearing. Dillard's as a whole has the best clearance sales and I was able to score my beautiful new evening bag for 80% off! read more

If you go into a room to try on clothes and there's a sign that states "ring bell for help" next to a doorbell, you know you're in trouble. I braced myself, grabbed the shorts portion of the "open bust mid-thigh shaper" - a pair of boy shorts attached to suspenders, with fabric that stops under the bra, and threw my body into 2 of the 4 walls of the dressing room just trying to get it on! I wanted a Spanx-type product to wear under my wedding gown. The gown was full length with a light colored ombre middle - so I really wanted help smoothing out MY middle! This was my first shapewear so I didn't even know what I needed under the gown. I brought the gown to Dillards to select the best undergarment. Sandy helped me - her parting words to me were "put the shorts on first otherwise it'll take you a long time". Once I got it on and got over the shock of hurling my body into walls, I realized it was comfy. And when I slipped my gown over, the fabric fell to the floor and I looked smooth all the way down. Nice! When I walked out of the dressing room I could feel Tom's eyes following me. He was smiling and when I went to the full length mirror I was too. It was like starving for a week and dropping a coupla pounds! Sandy told me that there was a slit in the crotch - better than those tiny snaps. Great! Except that if you use that slit, you're gonna smell like a homeless person by the night's end. Unless you're the person for whom a 2 inch slit would actually work. Really, manufacturer, really? Unbelievably, the undergarment came off easily. It was such a snap that I wore it to my wedding and took my gown and undergarment off in the bathroom. It wasn't a hassle - even in the bathroom stall. Amazingly, after only putting the undergarment on twice, I was a pro! I wore the undergarment for celebrations on the days before and after our wedding. I'll definitely wear it again - and I'm open to buying more pieces. I've learned that there are different 'strengths' of fabric, offering a variety of constriction or smooth lines. Lesson learned - don't let the dressing room sign scare ya! read more

This Dillards seems to be in transition. It was a little bit messy. I know it is just after Christmas and they are still trying to get rid of all their sale merchandise. What struck me as odd was that there were racks of earrings, fashionable ladies earrings right in front of and in the men's department for clothes. I found that to be something I've never seen before and a little confusing. I had an exchange to make from holiday time at the James Avery counter which is jewelry. The associates were super helpful and I got a lot of good advice. It was difficult to get assistance in the shoe department. I had to ask two different people and they both were busy with other customers. I waited maybe 12 minutes to get somebody to go grab my shoe size for a shoe I wanted to try on. They do have a lot of great cosmetic brands and some cool testers to try. I will be back again. read more

There are not many Dillard's locations in South Florida. This location is pretty spot on in shopping in Dillard's. I hardly ever go to this mall, it's a bit run down. But, Sam was persistent about stopping here for a moment to check this location out. We were in the area and had Brio, which is across the street from this shopping mall. Background- Ever since last year, going to Dillard's for the first time with my brother in law in Virginia, Sam M, low key wants to go to every Dillard's location. I'm not sure why?! Either way, I was going to support his Dillard's shopping. Experience- Sam M liked some pants/trousers within a few minutes. He needed some for everyday work environment etc. In the men's department, the employee offered some great customer service and end result he bought four trousers instead of one. She told him all the promotions and sales plus different fits etc. Some brands they sell in men's are Cremieux, Polo Ralph Lauren, True Religion, Michael Kors for men etc. I did browse the perfume and make up section. They have a nice selection like most department stores. If in area, this one is worth stopping by for. read more

In my opinion (not hating on anyone who shops here) but Dillard's just always reminds me old people. I wonder around this Dillard's since I'm at the mall a lot and I wonder if people realize that TJ Maxx and Marshall's are right down the street with this stuff for so much cheaper? In all the times I've been here, I've never been asked for help by an associate. I've never even been offered a cologne sample. It's just not my favorite place. This Dillard's does nothing to stand out from the rest or its competitors. If you're at the mall, go to Macy's or Jc Penney's instead. read more

I was at Dillard's in the Broward Mall to return earrings and came across one of the rudest salespersons ever. She didn't say one word to me after I politely explained why I was returning them. I went in to purchase some cosmetics and the whole store looked like a ghost town! Mind you it's a Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock but I never would expect it to be this dead. I stood by the Cosmetic counter looking for somebody who may be able to help me and no one was there. I circled the whole cosmetic counter three times and no one ever appeared. even if they had stepped away, I would have assumed that they would notice me and come over to help me and make a sale. It wasn't until I walked away and started looking at other items also while talking on the phone that a girl came back over and started saying I'm sorry can I help you and she continued to ask me questions while I was on the phone interrupting my call. Needless to say say I wasn't impressed. Then I thought to buy a candle and took it over to her to pay for it. the register didn't work and we had to walk to another counter and even with that and the price of the candle I decided not to buy it and walked out of the store. read more

I was a little skeptical walking into this store. I have always heard that this store is very expensive and to only come if you have coupons. Today however, I walked into the store without coupons and relied solely on the tax free savings. I slowly browsed through the different areas eventually making my way to clearance. Now I must tell you I do love my bargains and boy was I happy to see my size in the rack of clothes. What made me even more happy was the savings and red tags attached. I've always liked shopping at Dillard's because they have a good shoe selection and I like the exclusive collections they carry. The people that work in each department are generally quite helpful and if you have any questions are happy to answer them for you. In the shoe department, employees are obviously work on commission because every employee working the department approaches you to ask if you need help and to tell you their name. Their shoe department has one of the best selections in the mid range price point as department stores go. Nordstrom I think will always have the best as that is what they are known for. I can pretty much always find something I want to buy when going into Dillards. I've been shopping at Dillards for years so it's nice to have one fairly close by. I would say it's worth checking this store if you're looking for cute clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. read more

I'm pretty disgusted with the service and quality from their shoe department. I purchased some expensive and apparently low-quality shoes that scuff in a second (the material is about 3 times thinner than paper). I just complained and dealt with an clueless manager who did almost nothing to help me. I wanted to know what the low quality materiel was so I could avoid it in the future... Clueless. They refused to help in any way. As a consolation, I asked if they could at least throw in some polish to hide the damage if I ever wear these shoes again. Clueless manager (Jonathan I think) stares blankly for awhile before agan refusing to help. They don't seem to care about the customer or the quality of their wares. Beware! Don't shop in Dillard's, anywhere!! The worst return policy ever!!!I bought a pair of shoes online and returned them 10 days after their "30 day return policy" and even with a receipt was forced to take a gift card instead of putting back on bank card. If you have a Dillard's card you have a bunch more time. Only non-boutique store that has this policy. Warning! Don't buy gifts ahead here, if the gift doesn't work you'll get stuck with a gift card even if you have your receipt and the items are still being stocked. Really!! read more

i shop at dillards all of the time. i always find people who are most helpful in the ladies dept. and always find something to purchase. the only complaint i have is in the cosmetics dept. no one is there ofr the ones who are are too busy talking to each other and totally ignore customers. the exception is clarins and estee lauder. the ladies at these two counters are great. lancome people have an attitude and do not know their products. i do think dillards needs someone to patrol all depts.and see what these people are doing. home goods is another place where there are not enough people to help. the purse and accessory dept. people are really good and totally helpful as well as shoesfor women. read more

I needed to kill some time on a Saturday afternoon in Westfield Mall while a friend was getting a root canal. I walked around the corner of the dental office (in the mall) and stopped at Ann Taylor before cautiously walking into Dillards. I say "cautiously" because they had a DJ blasting music into the mall from their entrance and it was kind of a turn off. The first department was perfume and though they were nice, no one could show me the new Carolina Herrera fragrance. They just pointed across the department. I quickly came across some chips and salsa and cookies in that area so that was a nice surprise. I meandered into the shoe department to sit and eat. Once done, I made my way through the store but was quickly distracted again by some hot wings. I figured they were celebrating an anniversary. They had some good sales going on as well. I stopped in the purse department. I knew what I was looking for and didn't ask for help but one salesperson was all over me, which annoyed me. She finally got the hint. I found a couple of bags myself and saw another salesperson at a register with no line. I asked her if I could pay and she turned out to be just a ray of sunshine. Her name was Dianne and we clicked instantly. After a nice chat about my bag choices and dental experiences, we hugged and wished each other a good weekend. I Stopped shopping at Dillard's years ago, this retail store will never EVER get my hard earned money! My friend and I were followed by officers because my friend back her car into a parking space, apparently this Is what shoplifters do (according to the officer) we were asked to leave the store and actually escorted out, we didn't get 5 feet within store. I called Corporate Office to complain about the treatment and their response was he was doing his job. I immediately cancelled the credit card and haven't stepped foot in the store since. read more
