The manager helped me hone in on a vintage '80's indigo pad. Looks so much better that your standard, big box store options. (Although they have those too.) Was already in a condition that looked new. He also inspected it, and made sure it was freshened up. So, it really popped. They also have all the Pentel's--picked up one of those. As well as, a wide selection of pencils, pens, fountain pens, stationary, ledgers, printer toner, other printer needs, and many other treasures. Classic Manhattan store, in a great location in the Diamond District. I will definitely come again.

The shipping center is almost more trouble than it's worth, especially as it has been moved from…read morethe first floor to a far corner of the basement. Pre-paid package customers, doing what ought to be quick USPS and UPS drop-offs, end up waiting behind lines of Amazon customers bringing in upwards of a dozen or more return items at a time each; or stranded while people un-equipped to use computer terminals try to input their information for return items; and the staff of mostly younger, newer employees in the basement seem clueless as to what they can and can't accept. Add to that the fact that they get no mail pick-up on Saturdays, and your USPS parcel dropped off on a Friday might sit there for up to three days before entering the postal system, and the end of the week is even more problematic. Better to walk it to the nearest post office, of which there are two, one on 83rd Street near Columbus Ave. that's a six minute walk from this place, and another at 68th Street, that's within hailing distance of an excellent Morton Williams supermarket with a first-rate salad bar and some limited seating (not to mention Lincoln Center, The Juilliard Store, the uptown branch of the Strand etc.)

She ends up keeping me on hold for (1 hour!) when I was trying to get a supervisor. Giving me excuses saying its a 3rd party vendor. Which if OFFICE DEPOT is using this 3rd party vendor its not my concern as a customer. The package is ending up going to a different state, random address. If I didn't reach out to VEYER they were going to send my package to a random address. VEYER chat then stated I am correct it was going to a wrong address by mistake from the shipper. When speaking to VEYER, they said they going to provide a refund for my order and reship it to my correct address. then a few minutes later they said they gave me a "credit" which is different than a "refund" so thats the other issue. He didn't know the difference between the wording (refund vs credit), so i agreed with the credit and proceed with getting my package to my correct address, then I had to waste another hour on the chat getting this sorted. Still hasn't been resolved while writing this post. I wouldn't order anything from OFFICE DEPOT, again or any service that uses VEYER. they are unprofessional and the customer service representative should be held accountable, they want to waste customers time and they are clueless at doing there jobs. -----(round 2), I call today to ask for a supervisor because yesterday they didnt resolve anything on the phone... my package as of now is going to a different address thats not mine. they didnt do anything to cancel that order or provide me a refund now my package is going to another place. So I changed the order because I really wanted this computer in doing so I asked that they send a confirmation to my e-mail. Ok so I check for a confirmation the next day....no confirmation, so I call again only to find out that the order was not sent because it was out of stock. Talking about humiliation? Man I was so angry I could eat a bowl of nails. They continuously apologized but in this case sorry doesn't help. Waiting for my refund as I type this. They also called me to say that thr order didn't gobthru because i had a lack of funds in my account!!!! Lies....that's funny because the money isn't there. I had to call back and speak with a supervisor. They don't seem to be very competent. My advice DON'T order important items on line with them if you can go to the store...it's just that the nearest one to me is in NJ. My advice shop on Amazon. The company I work for has an account with them. The delivery service is good. However the prices…read moreare too high compared to other places. The worst thing is the customer service and account representatives. I have called and emailed them several times to establish some pricing. I have never heard back from them. The one time that a Rep called me back was when I ordered some paper Sparkle paper towels WB Mason sent Elegant which are just really bad. Since we trusted that WB Mason would send something comparable but they were not. The account rep told us that they could place another order for the Sparkle brand which we would have to pay for. WB Mason is helpful until you really need help. I do not think this is a way to treat a long time customer.
