They replaced the relief valve in short order & gave me advice to shut all water off from the house before leaving on vacation. This could have occurred while we were gone. I had to take an Uber for that day to get to our unit to make sure everything was going well, and nobody showed up at all. I called the office, but they had no one who could come over. Although they did schedule another appointment the next day, I wasted money on that ride. Andrew came over for the second appointment, and he was easy to talk to as well. I would give a five-star review if they did not mess up with the second appointment, but overall, the experience was good, and it was definitely much more pleasant than my previous experiences with a few plumbers. Kreitz played that game right to the letter. What's actually occurring is (according to three trusted sources) that your A/C got low on freon, this causes water to condense and freeze. When the freon is fixed, the ice melts, which causes a little rust, and it's all perfectly harmless. He also needed a week to replace my furnace (it was 40 years old). I looked up his business address on Google Maps/Street View (try it). I tried repeatedly for four days to speak to someone about cancelling my appointment but could never get anyone to answer the phone. Worst of all, the old man's son was tagging along, so he's being taught this scheme. If we hadn't had to wait so long, or if he would have just loaned us a small space heater to get us through the cold nights, we might have had Kreitz do the job. Instead, I went to Home Depot to buy a heater. While I was there, a contractor happened to ask me as I was walking by, "Would you like a quote on a furnace?" Instead of a one-man home-based operation, I dealt with a large professional state-wide organization. The whole thing was over in less than 48 hours and on a Saturday. I paid more there. But the fact is I need reliable, long-term support and satisfaction for decades to come, not a lowball price. And a reliable furnace. And they gave me a very nice Nest thermostat.

Tom came out to my home to service my AC unit through my home warranty company (American home…read moreShield). He texted the night before with an arrival time and I responded back with a request to text me when he was on his way to which he ignored and just showed up at my home. When he arrived, he let himself into our shed where the AC unit was (Prior to making my wife aware he was even there). He then came to the door and proceeded to have my wife call me so he could ask some questions. He asked what was going on and I explained that AHS said they had to send out a tech to assess my unit since the last tech visit was too long ago to use "previous claim" He proceeded to hand the phone to my wife while stating that he "wasnt dealing with this $hit" and walked out the door and drove off. I have never been treated so unprofessionally not to mention without cause... I proceeded to try and reach him to find out what to do next as we waited all morning for him already and he just left??? He would not take my calls and refused to respond to text messages (I will gladly show video footage of the interaction from my nest cameras as well as the screen shots of numerous requests for a response as to what we should do and what the problem was... I do not usually do negative reviews but here I am almost 3 hours later and still no response from him and AHS will not send another tech until this guy updates the work order (Which he still hasnt done). NO AC and its 89 degrees in my house and Tom was RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Terrible experience all the way around with this guy and to think my porr wife was scared to death that he was cursing and storming off like that, she had no idea what was happening.... see attached texts to him with no response as of now (2 hours after last text). also, I did send a courtesy text letting him know if I didnt hear back I would be doing my reviews! While I've had several issues with this home…read morewarranty company, Tom was very professional and did a wonderful job with installation (at the time of this writing we are awaiting our final inspection from the city to confirm all is well). Despite the many issues with AHS like incorrect coverage information and issues with the furnace delivery, Tom was reliable and professional. Tom communicated well throughout the process. Tom even went above and beyond to find my furnace when he was given inaccurate information by the warranty company regarding where to pick up the furnace. Despite not being reimbursed for his time and travel, Tom went to four different places on at least two days to find my furnace so he could get it installed and my home could have heat. At installation, Tom ran into some unexpected challenges, but in the end did not leave until the furnace was installed and working properly so my family would have heat during some of the coldest days this Winter. I appreciate Tom and his due diligence.
