Last week (12/11/16) I woke up to a cold house. I checked the thermostat and it was calling for…read moreheat but the furnace was not running. I looked and it was showing a code for an inoperable flame sensor. I have had this problem a couple years ago and all that was needed was to clean the sensor. I cleaned it, and the furnice still didn't run. I removed it and called the shop to see if they had one in stock. I was asked to come in so they could look at the sensor. Upon entering the front door, the receptionist asked to see the part and said that it looked OK to her but would show Ken and see if he thought it was good. Ken came out, we talked about what was happening to the furnace and what I had already done and said that it could probably be cleaned up some more and took it to the back to clean it. When he came back a few minutes later and handed it to me. He also told me a few things to check out and he also gave me prices for the parts that may need to be replaced. When I got home I put the part in and the furnace fired right up and has worked since. The personal attention that I received was top notch and something I haven't seen in a long time from any company. I WILL be going back if needed for service or parts and if any of my friends ask who I would recommend, I will recommend Ken Hardin heating.

After replacing the furnace still did not work and they could not find problem. I then called Goyette. They replaced the small exhaust motor and the gas control valve which was the problem. All these parts were marked up 200 to 300 percent. and total cost was$4170. The cost of a new furnace. A good example of corporate greed. The small motor runs 200 to 300 on amazon and Goyette charged 1,081.57.

We called blue flame to come out and take a look to see if they could help, but I had no idea how much it would cost. Unfortunately, we had just lost our 12-year-old beloved black lab the day before and Blue Flame showed up unannounced to fix it. When I asked him how much it would cost, he just simply said "we love our customers" and they fixed it for free! They had a crane on their truck and even brought the cement blocks to prop it back up on. I can't tell you how relieved and thankful I was especially after such a great loss. It was one less thing my husband and I had to worry about! I can't say enough about how kind and sweet the gentleman were that came. Thank you Blue Flame! You made a terrible time so much easier!
