So these guys are great! When my washer drain backed up and decided to flood an entire room, they came on short notice and took care of the problem. But, a lot of businesses can fix plumbing. I am giving American Sewer Cleaner five stars because the technician that came here cleaned up the mess and straightened everything up very nicely. They have a large coverage area, so you're likely covered if you're anywhere in Genesee County. Definitely recommend. read more

They've come out and helped me snake out sewer line and removed tree roots from cast iron line!

I've used these guys twice, first guy helped me diagnosed the problem and didn't charge me a dime. I gave him some cash to buy dinner figuring it was least I could do. Second time was the other day, the techs name was Nate. He was extremely personable and did a great job for us, good to see "normal people" in this day and age. I called in the morning and they came out same day. Couldn't be more pleased with the service. read more

I called for a service and a technician was sent out within a couple hours, I know i got lucky in that regard. However, I've had the company come out to my house a couple times and they have been very professional and conducted the work without issue both times, different technicians. The pricing is fair. read more

do not use unless you have security cameras. Will damage your house then lie about it. (literally did this) destroed my flooring. told me to call the next day "if I wanted it fixed" called. service man did not report coming to my house. ASC called me a liar. I told them I had security cameras showing the worker dragging the machine through and literally ripping up tile before stomping it back down and saying "all done" didn't believe me, sent them the video one week later they send over a repair man (who talked about cocaine while here more than once) and owner said to reach out next time I need service SERVICE WASN'T DONE RIGHT, AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR ANOTHER VISIT AND UPSELL ME Used them 2x over 2 years. in total they came out 6 TIMES because they kept NOT FIXING THE ISSUE, (using too small of a cutter!) BUT KEPT TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THEM USING THE RIGHT SIZE CUTTER, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE UNDER "WARRANTY" read more

Wow. Guys came out next day. Charged exaexactly what they said they would. Prompt, fixed the problem. Polite. 5 stars. Happy customer. 1

I actually "thought" I had a blocked kitchen sink pipe that led outside. I called American Sewer Cleaners, and within an hour Tim was at my door. Within 10 minutes, he told me everything was normal, and although he could use a snake to clean out the pipes, it would just be an unnecessary added expense. it's very refreshing to know that there are companies that don't perform work that isn't needed. I will definitely call American Sewer again if I have any sort of drain issues. read more

The service call was a little later than quoted, but not horrible. Meh, unforeseen circumstances, whatever. Mike was quick, polite, and efficient. He cleared the drain, offered some preventative maintenance tips, cleaned up, and went on his way. I would call them again. read more

Unfortunately I've had to call them twice in the last 14 months. Fortunately they have been available and sent Nick both times. Nick was efficient and knowledgeable and able to correct both. If you have a clog call American Sewer Cleaners! read more

We had a backed up kitchen drain. Called and they came out the same day. The technician was Ryan and he was very courteous and was careful moving his equipment through the house. The clog wasn't just under the sink. It was much farther down the pipe located in the basement. After trying to snake at 2 access points without success he then tried a third correcting the problem immediately. He spent the rest of his time cleaning up his mess. As you can imagine we were holding our breath waiting for him to present the bill total. We just knew it was gonna be outrageous. It was a whopping $115 Unbelievable. We were stunned. Ryan was knowledgeable and thorough and respectful to our home. I would and have recommended this company to everyone. They arrived same day, did the job, cleaned up and presented a fair price. What more can you ask for. Thank you so much. Your tech Ryan was awesome. read more

I would love to give TIM a good review for being so patient and caring when working to open our drains in our kitchen. He was very thorough in telling us not to use certain things to put in our dish washer. WE told his company not to ever let him go under any circumstances. read more

Called yesterday morning and a tech was at my home with 45 minutes to fix my drains in bathroom. I am so happy but not happy with the fact he broke a prong in my tub that holds the stopper so now it won't hold it in and keep it down but he never said a word. Found the issue when I went to take a bath read more

Jeff was an amazing, professional service man. Very patient, prompt, he knew what he was doing. He came right away, ASC gave same-day service. So much cheaper than a plumber! Hopefully we won't have to call them again, but we would! read more

I am thrilled with the American Sewer Cleaners! I called early in the morning and was told the repairman would be here somewhere between noon and 3. I was pleasantly surprised when my doorbell rang at 9:30 and there he stood. It's not often that happens. After showing him where the pipe was he brought the gigantic drain snake in. He covered the wheels of the machine and was extremely careful manuvering through the house and down the basement steps. It only took a few minutes to unclog the pipe. He was quick and efficient. The cost was reasonable. I highly recommend American Sewer Cleaners. read more

Observed the mask and distancing for COVID. They were professional and arrived as they said they would. Other companies didn't call or show up at all. Thank you American Sewer very much for unclogging my drain line. read more

Terrible experience. First he tired to over charge us by 50 bucks. They came out on a Wednesday and this is how our drain looks 2 days later. Then told my 73 year old wheelchair bound mother to call them back on a Monday. read more

American Sewer Cleaners - This is how our drain looks 2 days after they came out - Plumbing Near Me - Burton, Michigan

We had a blockage between our basement floor drains and the sewer mainline. We called American sewer cleaners on the recommendation of my friend that is a plumber. Nick came out and snaked out the line. We had a blockage at 25 feet and at 50 feet. All cleaned up free-flowing water now. He left no Mess after the process was done. Very reasonably priced and professional. I would highly recommend this company to anybody that has any type of blockage with ther sewer system. read more

I have to say, I am so glad I called American Sewer! Being out of state and having a tenant emergency with clogged drain, I was nervous that the repairs would be very costly or that they might not get the job done. First of all, they were able to get the job done right away. According to my friend who let the worker in, he (Ryan) was very professional, polite, and got it taken care of. In addition to doing a great job, Ryan cleaned and mopped the floor up afterward, so you couldn't even tell there had been a problem. Finally, their price was exactly as quoted, a fair price with no surprises. I am so thankful for this company and would definitely use them again in the future! read more

I can honestly say, I am not sure I would recommend them. We had a sewer back up around Feb of 2020. We called America Sewer based upon the recommendation of a family member. They came out as promised the next morning to snake the drain. They did exactly that and stated that it was warranties for 1 year. After a few months (May 2020), we had a water back up again. This time due to rain. Come to find out, they didn't cap the access port and didn't snake the line fully. I called back on the warranty and they claim they "can't find my account." Of course, I am trying to move and have cleaned out all of the papers that didn't matter anymore. So now they want to be paid in full again for work they didn't do the first time. Not to mention, they expect me to wait 3 days for service on a sewer issue (repeat repair none the less) read more

After becoming a home owner, I used American Sewer Cleaners a few times. If I wrote the review earlier, I would have given them five stars, however the last time I used them, Chuck came. I would give Chuck a one star. Granted he accomplished fixing the plugged toilet, but he left such a mess, I cannot in good conscience give them a better rating. After he was here, I am afraid to have them out again. He literally left "dirt" flung on the walls and floors. He didn't want to put caulk around the floor after revealing the toilet. In fact it would have been better and nicer looking if he hadn't because he got dirt in with the caulk around the toilet so it is disgusting looking. I feel strongly about this because the toilet was new and in place for just a couple of months. As I said based on previous experience, they would get a five star; but because of Chuck (who merits one star) I compromised with a three star. read more

Clogged drain. Few things strike fear in a home owner like these two words. You can imagine how I felt when my beautiful wife told me that this was the case. I plunged, I snaked (Home Depot special), I hoped, and I even asked St. Jude (patron saint of lost causes and desperate situations) for prayers. Then I remember my neighbor telling me about American Sewer. I called and was told they would be to my house in a hour or so. Just before a hour was up, Aaron pulled in the drive way. Thirty minutes later my drains were cleared of roots and every other disgusting thing that gets trapped. Aaron cleaned up, gave both my wife and I a much needed lecture on drain maintenance, and let us know what the warranty was. Thank you and I will recommend you guys to everyone! read more

I had been having issues with my kitchen drain, my toilet, and my tub backing up, to the point where, after trying to make use of the bathroom, I found my tub full of stuff that shouldn't have been there. I called my property manager who then called American Sewer as that is who they contract through. Admittedly it took them a little bit to respond as this was a bit of an emergency and it was the weekend, but the operator at their dispatch explained to me that they only had two people working today, so it's understandable. Cameron came to my apartment to check everything out, and figured that a simple snaking of the outside lines leading out of the apartment complex were in order. He was very through and efficient, and wouldn't hesitate to use them when the time comes and I have a house of my own as opposed to an apartment. I now know however, that should I have more plumbing problems down the line, that my property managers have made a solid choice in American Sewer Cleaners. read more

Worker did not wear a mask. After he cleaned drain out there was a small amount of roots on the floor and I asked him if that's all they got out and the only thing he said was you need to go flush the toilet three times. They had a five dollar coupon that was online which they refused to honor because I could not print it out.I could show it to them on my phone but I do not have a printer. Both the worker and the woman on the phone were rude. The woman on the phone hung up on me.I will never use them again. read more

They come put on time .The guy left a big mess and said they clean up the mess but when he left he said they are not required to clean up the mess that they left. I said "why did you say you clean up your mess then? He said well we dont have to. I heard him on the phone called the office saying he dont want to clean it up. He got off phone and said ,they said I dont have to . FUCK OFF. Do not use these ppl. Go somewhere else. read more

This is a great company. We have an OLD building, constantly having issues. They are always, quick, professional, and courteous (both in office and the technicians that come out). They are very cost effective, and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks from everyone at Averys read more

I've had them out 3 times to work on 2 separate issues. The first issue seemed to have a recurring problem- and they came out promptly and didn't charge anything additional (thanks to their 30 day guarantee). The 2nd time Tom came out and it took him about an hour to solve the issue that my buddy and I weren't able to fix after about 6-7 hours + 1 sewer snake rental. I could've saved myself a lot of money and a lot of time had I called them earlier on. Very fair pricing- they've been punctual every time. Plumbing issues freak me out- but these guys really have my trust! read more

I have had repeat issues with a line in my house for the 5 years I've owned it. Every time they have come promptly and taken care of it. I recently asked for a camera to be used because the clog happened 4 times in 2 months. All of the visits after the first were were covered by their warranty. They came out today and the tech told me he didn't think I needed the camera, gave me advice about changes to my laundry hook up, and cleaned the line again. He could have easily taken the $200 from me for the camera. Highly recommend! read more

Well, I should have called them sooner..Had a clogged kitchen sink drain for almost 2 mos. washed dishes in the Bathroom..ughhh..on a fixed income I had to save up a few bucks as I thought this was going to be really expensive..Dave came out had my drain snaked and done in like 15 mins. Wow..very courteous and professional, even joking with Hubby and I. Got a Senior Discount and a warranty to boot..very pleased with the Company and Service, will call again if needed. Will not be using them again, I used them last year for my rental they did a good job. not so much this year just a little upset that they did the work without calling me first. then the guy left sewage all over the bathroom for my renter to clean up. They also said they cleaned the tub, while my renter told me they hadn't touched the tub, now I do understand she may not have seen him do it but at the same time they still should have called me to confirm that I wanted both drains done. read more

I will NEVER use this company again. Tech came out and spoke with tenant; never called me to tell me that I had a broken pipe. Called office several times to get the findings emailed to me. Nothing. If they say you have mud in the sewer That just may be a pitch to get the sewer camera out there at $190 a pop. Ask them to show you any mud they find in the lines.
