Only a skin grater and pumice. I know my feet. I don't have ugly feet, but I do have calluses. I had to literally ask the tech to remove my calluses and only then did she use the grater. The pumice is a must to smooth things out. Before I left and my skin dried out, I could feel the calluses still on my right foot: the inside and the back of my heel. I'm going to have to shave them when I shower tonight and shave and re-pumice them myself. That's why I don't get the expensive pedicure. Would a more than basic pedicure been worth the money? Absolutely not. I will continue to go, but try a different tech.

Knowing my polish was uncured, she tried to make me come back the next day because the original tech wasn't in. First, she offered to fix only one nail. When I pointed out more, she reluctantly said two. She refused to check my toes, saying if not chipped, they were fine--though my nails weren't chipped, just uncured. My toes had the exact same color on so I was nervous about them as well. She implied I wanted a free color change, despite me asking for the same color--just properly cured. They've lost me, my mom, and anyone I recommended as customers. I won't recommend them after today. She said helping me took pay from other techs. I reminded her I was loyal and this was a safety issue. She loudly asked who would help me. While my nails were fixed, she berated me loudly, and techs spoke about me in another language, saying "gel" repeatedly, so you could just tell. We all know that feeling. I couldn't calmly finish. I didn't let them re-polish my toes after removal because I couldn't take more berating or gestures after nearly an hour. The tech who fixed my nails was kind. I'm grateful for her honesty in letting me know she found more uncured nails. I tipped her for her time and kindness, even while her boss was rude. If you get gel here, triple-check curing I can't express enough how uncured polish is a safety and risk to you--no one should face this treatment.

During the middle of an afternoon weekday, they had a steady stream of customers. I was the only guy in the place.
