There were 2 ladies at the reception desk who were less than friendly. We had been to a couple other places before for an estimate and they were super friendly in comparison (Treads near Dadeland and Perez Auto on Bird Road). After waiting one hour (they had told us no more than 30 minutes) I saw the car parked so I asked one of the ladies the status. She said, very huffily, we are trying to contact bmw for the parts price. This without telling us what the issue was. Well, in the end the cost was close to 1200 for non bmw parts. The other place (Perez) quoted us $800. And they took less than 15 minutes for a free estimate. These people wanted $45 for the estimate but they didn't tell us that before. Of course we didn't pay. And we took the car to Perez. You really do have to get at least 3 estimates. The first two never charged us and took less than 15 minutes. I do not think I will go to Miller Auto Care in the future.

Two other tire shops had already turned her away, claiming the screw was in the sidewall and the tire could not be repaired. It was clearly located on the flat tread portion of the tire. Mebco was completely different. They were friendly, honest, reasonably priced, and had the repair completed very quickly. There was no attempt to turn a simple repair into the sale of a new tire--just straightforward, professional service. It's easy to understand why this shop has been in business for more than 30 years and has earned so many positive reviews. This was my first visit, but based on this experience, I will definitely consider Mebco for future tire and automotive repair needs. Thank you very much for the excellent service. Like any girl in my position, I'm always hesitant that I'll get taken advantage of and sold false information and/or scare tactics so I'll replace tires & make other unnecessary& costly moves. To my surprise and genuine relief, the attendant, Saresco, was both informative and honest. He filled up my tire the little bit it needed and explained what should happen on my dash board in time. He also told me not to hesitate to call/pass by later in the day if I still had concerns.

When I came by for a tire rotation in December, I discovered thay they recently changed management but the new owner Hector is just as friendly and fair with prices. They can order new tires and have a decent selection in stock as well as the basic balance, rotation (approx $16) and tire patch ($15). I have been coming here for over a year to get oil changes done, new tires, my cars AC fixed and more. So trust me when I tell you that this company has their S*** together. The workers are all nice and they also go above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of! This guy Paul works behind the counter greeting customers as they come in and taking down what you need done. This guy is like a super employee or he is paid well because his customer service is amazing!!! You will even find Paul helping out in the shop working on cars with the other mechanics. I have been to many other mechanic shops and they do not operate as well as this place does! Especially with the level of customer service and quality of work! You will even see the owner working in the mechanic shop working along side his employees. This is like unheard of. I would run from this place if I were you. I had asked Felipe if he takes insurance jobs and he…read moresaid yes. So I had my car towed over to his shop which cost me $150 He then said the insurance would not cover a "diagnostic" and that I had to pay for it. Well, my car was made in 1966 and there's no computer so how can you even do a diagnostic? I told him what was wrong with the car from the accident. He went ahead and did work without me knowing and then was insisting that I signed an estimate after he did the work. Which is illegal by the way. I did not ask for him to replace something, but he did on his own. He was very insistent and would get angry because I would not sign. So I went down to the shop to get my truck which cost me another $150 to tow Home. He was getting irritated that I wouldn't sign what he wanted me to sign because I didn't agree with it. He was goofing to charge me a lot of money for work that I didn't ask to be done. So ultimately to get my car back, I had to pay for this "diagnostic" . He then got very angry and claims that I was trying to take advantage of the insurance that none of it was caused in the accident and it was just because of old Parts. Which simply isn't true. I spent hundreds of dollars and nothing was fixed. And the fuel pump that he replaced or "fixed" was leaking. Prior to that , on the phone he was saying that it would cost a minimum of $2500 to fix my transmission and if he had to rebuild my transmission it could cost $4000 or more and he needed a $1500 deposit. I told him I could buy a new transmission for less than that. He claims that the part that was needed was very hard to find, but I found it in a 30 second Google search for roughly $200. He was trying to take advantage of me and tried to charge me way more than what was needed. He must've thought I was stupid, but luckily I know a little bit about cars. This should've been a simple cheap fix but he will definitely try and take you for a ride if you're not careful.
