We were really excited to try the all-you-can-eat sushi & hibachi, and I chose this place for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately, it ended up being a very disappointing experience. Things started off poorly with food coming out in the wrong order, sushi before appetizers and it only went downhill from there. The hibachi portions were extremely small and the food was cold, which was especially upsetting since hibachi should be fresh and hot right off the grill. I waited over an hour for my meal while everyone else at the table finished eating. During that time, our waitress rarely checked on us, didn't offer any drink refills, and we had to repeatedly flag her down just to get updates. We were told it was a "rush," even though the restaurant was more than half empty on a Tuesday evening. When my food finally arrived, it was a very small portion of just 3 shrimp and noodles and still barely warm after the hour long wait. The owner offered only a 10% discount, which felt very dismissive given the experience and that at this point I still had not even had my meal at all. The sushi was good, but that was the only positive part of the night. Overall, it was really disappointing for what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner, and I won't be returning.

Really interesting concept. It's like a buffet but there is no buffet. For lunch the AYCE is $20.95. You can order as much sushi as you want including appetizers, Soup, Salad, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Tempura, Soup, and some desserts. I tried Cheese Rangoon, 4 different sushi rolls, some tempura, and ate 1 of the fried Oreos. I wouldn't say it was the best sushi I have ever had but I will say for the price it was more than fair! Also I enjoyed the tempura onion rings. I'll be back!

I was so excited for this spot because of the variety of food options they offer for their all you can eat! I was excited to have rice and noodle options. Unfortunately for me, there are limited vegetarian options that made it still hard to have a variety. The service for ordering was a little slow, but the food did arrive quickly once our order was placed! The food was good, though I was a little disappointed by the veggie roll. There was some questionable pieces of edamame but they were easy enough to pick around. The chairs here are so loud when they scrap on the floor that it was something we had to get used to when people around us adjusted. The wait was not too bad on a Friday despite them being pretty busy!

Our niece loves sushi and we usually take her to Zushi Sushi or Sushi Ai for her birthday. This year we wanted to try somewhere different and we heard about Machi Sushi in Affton on Reddit. We tried lots of rolls and desserts. They loved the fried cheesecake and the dumplings. Our service was great and speeding. The restaurant looked clean and the decor was nice. The bathroom felt very fancy. We enjoyed it.

This place was delicious. The inside has a nice vibe to it. Waitress and staff were attentive! We got seated right away for lunch. The all you can eat lunch menu is well priced. $20.95 for adults, $11.95 for kids 7-10 years, $7.95 for kids 3-6 years and FREE for kids under 3. They have options for appetizers, soup & salad, hibachi, teriyaki, class or hand rolls, chefs special roll, tempura, sushi, udon & soba in soup and dessert!! Come hungry because you won't be disappointed!

We had a great server who was very busy but sooooo kind every time he checked in. Embarrassingly, eating the AYCE derailed the rest of my week for me cause I left so full. The food is legit great though so even though I was comatose for 3 days afterwards, you are definitely getting your monies worth! The sushi, fish, cuts, all great. I didn't get hibachi or soup noodles but my friend did and she loved it. Inside, seating is spaced apart well so even though it gets crowded, everyone has their own bubble. Will be back--but maybe on a weekend.

Saw this place on TikTok and it had gone somewhat viral, so I was intrigued. We came here on a Tuesday evening, so there was not any wait. Service was pretty quick and the wait staff were very nice. The interior was very nice. It looked like they had repurposed another restaurant interior, but it did give a very fancy vibe. Everything we got was delicious. They also had sashimi which is pretty rare to come by, especially at an all-you-can-eat place. The fish tasted very fresh. The salmon in particular was thick tender, and had the right amount of fat in it. The eel in particular was warm, tender, and smoky as if they had just cooked it fresh in the back. They were also really nice because when we were asking about the sushi boat, they said that they could bring it out with nearly any order. Every row we got was spectacular. All in all, this is a great experience and I will definitely come back here many times. 5/5 stars,

I came in for lunch and was seated right away. Modern decor and great lightning inside. Our group got seated in the back room since they were dealing with some repairs in the front room. I love the menu has more options like udon and rice dishes compared to other AYCE sushi place in town. To me the rice dish is dry and just average. The udon has great toppings although the broth is average. There's some rolls and nigiris only available for dinner options so I didn't get them. To me, the lunch menu has an ok selection but some of my favorite is only in the dinner section.

Machi Sushi came highly recommended by friends, so I gladly made a visit over Mother's Day weekend. The restaurant looks very newly built and there is a very large parking lot, which is a huge plus! The interior of the restaurant is also fancy and appealing, so it's a good place for fancier dinners too. Lots and lots of tables and seats! Weekend prices are higher, but you get sashimi options, which is totally worth the cost! Appetizers and tempura were fantastic! We weren't a big fan of the udon noodle soup. The broth was not what we expected. We also didn't pick a hibachi dish. Food came out incredibly fast, and sushi was fresh! Out server was also super friendly and attentive, but we did notice that some of our items that we ordered on the menu were missing. It was okay in the end, because we could reorder due to the AYCE. Make sure you don't order more than you can eat, or you will be charged extra!

What an awesome place!!! I highly recommend this place especially for the novice sushi person. The space is hip with cozy tables and booths. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our server LA was the absolute best. She took such good care of us during our time. This restaurant offers All You Can Eat (AYCE) and it's more than just sushi. They offer a large selection of appetizers, sushi, ramen/udon, hibachi, and a variety of other options to try. The portions are perfect if you're not sure if you are going to like something. The lunch price is perfect considering all that you can get for the price. The variety is great even if you don't like sushi they have something for you.

Are you hungry? This is the place to come. We came for lunch for the all you can eat. First time here so it was a learning curve getting used to their process. They handed us the menus and explained that we needed to mark off what we would like to eat, but to be careful not to over order because if we waste food, there would be an up charge. So we ordered with caution in the first round and tried a couple things that we discovered that we loved so with the second round, we ordered a bit more. The waiter warned us not to waste the food and there was no waste in our table! We ate every bit of it and it was delicious. We will definitely be back.

This was an overall enjoyable experience with good food and great service. While everything was solid, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. For the all-you-can-eat fried rice and shrimp option, the fried rice portion was surprisingly small and only included a few shrimp. The ramen-style soup on that menu was also a bit lacking in flavor. The sushi was pretty good, though nothing particularly standout. That said, the inside was very sleek and nicely designed, and the price wasn't bad at all--about $20 per person for all-you-can-eat lunch. I might return eventually, but I'm not in a huge rush.

Yes to another AYCE sushi place in Saint Louis! The service we had on Nov 20, 2025 (Thursday night) was great! He was helpful and didn't get our orders wrong (I was worried because we had a big table). The food was prepared quickly and the first order was served on a sushi boat. We ordered several times and the other orders came on plates. I love the variety of food that is included in the dinner AYCE. I will definitely be back!

While I stood at the bar to peruse the lengthy menu the lady walked near me several times in haste with a notepad prompting my order. It wasn't busy but I felt rushed. I placed the order and watched the order be prepared within a few minutes. When the lady brought the receipt I noticed 15% gratuity was added. Appalling, especially since I wasn't offered water, a seat while I waited, nor was I greeted with a hello, a smile or thanked for coming in. Maybe the automatic gratuity is the very reason for the lack of hospitality here. The lack of hostility is the very reason I will never return. P.S. the sushi was decent. There are 100 alternatives I'd rather frequent for a pleasant experience. ~Christy
