The…read morelibrary is but a few blocks from its' old location where they had outgrown the older, smaller building. The library is situated in a beautiful park setting. They have everything you can think of from a bookstore, outside seating, copy area, computer room, fireplace with cozy seating to children's area. The personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased books from the Friends of the Library bookstore as well as browsed books that were lining the many rows of shelves of books. I especially enjoy reading the magazines and newspapers. If you are in the area, stop in, relax and read for a bit.

They have a lot of little toy areas that they can play with. They have an imaginary play puppet area too. When you check out, they have a self checkout where you can scann the card and then the items. They have bags to check out too for carrying the books in. You can print a receipt which will tell you when items are due back. I also took a photo just in case. The desks have people working there that are super helpful. They answered so many questions. My husband went to the other side up top and looked at some books while the kids were playing. They also have activities and storytime classes that you can attend. While in the process of packing and moving, the kids and I took a break from visiting our library. I didn't want to borrow material and then possibly loose items during the move. The Graubner Library is located just north of 30 Mile Rd, on Van Dyke and was the closest to our new home. On our 1st visit I was throughly impressed. Not only with the size and amenities available at this public library but with the staff, that was more than welcoming, friendly and helpful. They signed me and 3 of my children up for our own library cards. My kids got a kick out of having their own cards, as this was a first for them. Since moving to our new home we have been to this library a half a dozen times, in just 8 weeks. We have borrowed approximately 30 items, including books, magazines and DVDs. Can you tell we really love the library! This library, as with all other libraries I've been to gets 5 Stars from me. How can they not!? This is a FREE service and resource center available to EVERYONE!! Kids and adults should really take advantage and make use of your public library. People "read" too much on their phones/devices. I've been saying, for years, books will soon be extinct, and then what!?! That would be a sad day, to not have anymore documented text/reading material. What a great feeling and honor to walk into the City of Roseville municipal office and library!…read moreEven though I am no longer a resident of Roseville since 1993, I grew up in Roseville as a child, teenager and adult along with 10 years of "Cruising Gratiot" in my many rust bomb cars to a few hot rod fancy classics. On this check in with my 87 year-old Mother we were walking up the sidewalk to enter the building to pay her winter tax and water bill. She was overwhelmed as well as myself to see and read the bronze history plaques along our walk with memorable information, and history of our city. (SEE MY MANY PHOTOS). The flagpole was flying the American Flag, City flag, with the State of Michigan flag. The statues along the way were clean and glossy polished. Inside I photographed the library door with hours along with the plaque of board members for the city. Since my mother is having memory issues she was happy to read the current names of them to refresh herself since she worked in the City Assessors office in the 1970's. The treasurer Michael Switalski is always happy to see my Mom and myself since I went to Roseville High school with his younger sister. All the departmemts along with their employee's are pleasant and available at the counters when needed. Also in the area is the police station along with the circuit court offices. I never had to use those 2 department's or building in my young adult life and while driving on Gratiot. I was always obeying the law and speed limit on the weekends. In conclusion it's a great feeling to drive by, or stop in here to assist my Mom and remember the good old days of Roseville!

The library has a lot of older stuff in comparison to some of the…read moreother libraries I have been to but it is very easy to put a hold on something from a different library and have it sent to this one if needed. The library is very clean and organized in a way that is super easy to find items. If you have any questions at all the staff is super friendly to deal with. They still have someone check the books out for you as opposed to some libraries that have self check out. I prefer the face to face interaction because when they check you out they look over the items and make sure there is no damage and if there is, they document it. Being someone who was once charged a fine for damages to a book that existed before I checked it out at a different library, I appreciate the way Roseville performs check outs. I also see that the library tries to have some kind of event going on to try and engage with the community. Overall, love this library.
