We were able to load as many books, puzzles, dvd's, etc into one plastic bag for $1.00! I walked away with 3 puzzles, 1 audio book on cd, 1 magazine and 4 books for $1.00, that's amazing. They have a fireplace, which will come in handy in the next few weeks. It is easy to locate any type of book or media material that you are looking for. There is plenty of available parking. If you are driving south on old Van Dyke you might drive right past this gem as the signage is small and dark. They are just North of the Taco Bell, Salvation Army and Tractor store...stop on in if you are in the neighborhood.

They have everything you can think of from a bookstore, outside seating, copy area, computer room, fireplace with cozy seating to children's area. The personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased books from the Friends of the Library bookstore as well as browsed books that were lining the many rows of shelves of books. I especially enjoy reading the magazines and newspapers. If you are in the area, stop in, relax and read for a bit.

24 Hour Library…read more Kresge has been my dwelling place for late nights of cramming. The library has wonderful amenities that are available for students as well as guests. I love the interlibrary loan and the writing resources for students. The library website can be the best resource a hard-working student can have. Library OneSearch is a new search engine that features everything from the library catalog and other library databases. OneSearch also includes scholarly content publishers and view results ranked by relevance. The library is now open 24/5 for OU Students from Sunday through Thursday and closes at 2 on Fridays and Saturdays.

I've actually found one of my favorite new authors that way! (Nicholas Eames: Kings of the Wyld series) The pickup/drop off drive through is perfect for after hours, or if you don't want to go in. I guess I'm just a very old school and tactile kind of person. I highly prefer the look, feel and smell of real, paper books over a digital screen. We're all paying for the library. (It's worth it). We decided to stop in because we heard they have tonies box to rent out. The second floor on the right side is a massive children's area. They have tables and chairs. They have a lot of little toy areas that they can play with. They have an imaginary play puppet area too. When you check out, they have a self checkout where you can scann the card and then the items. They have bags to check out too for carrying the books in. You can print a receipt which will tell you when items are due back. I also took a photo just in case. The desks have people working there that are super helpful. They answered so many questions. My husband went to the other side up top and looked at some books while the kids were playing. They also have activities and storytime classes that you can attend.
