Today was a dreary, rainy, cold day here in Michigan; what a better way to while away the day by visiting a cute, quaint library located near the water. This small, yet fully functioning, library is located in downtown New Baltimore, MI. You can walk to a park located on Lake St. Clair or visit nearby antique stores, eateries and mom & pop shops. Mom requires a transporter when there is a lot of walking. I was able to use the ramps to get her in and out of the building but there were scooters inside or big comfy chairs for her to sit in. It's a smaller library so I can see where it would be difficult to store a scooter but a nice comfy chair here and there would be a good addition. There was a main section of the library, a friends of the library store and a children's/teen section. The personnel were friendly and helpful. Bonus, they have a room in the back where you can do crafts such as quilting. Take a stroll down New Baltimore and this library and you will feel the stress leave you.

Tons and tons of books of all…read morekinds, a beautiful children's room, a back room where you can buy books fur $3 a bag, and sometimes they are on sale fur $1 a bag. We also have a lot of DVD's, CD's and just recently, video games!! We also have programs a lot. Everybody who works there is so kind and I could not ask for better co-workers. I would not have it any other way!! Wonderful place to be :)

It is packed with useful books, games, toys, posters, and positive affirmations. You can expand you knowledge while utilizing therapeutic techniques for various learning styles....ie. a child might not want to talk about emotions, but they will play a game or color. It is also GREAT for parents, especially if you are going through a divorce, have a spacial needs child, have experienced death or a recent trauma. They have a TON of books for children to help you talk to them about painful subjects....they also have books for you to help learn how to talk to them. I love decorating my office in their posters. I also picked up some cool card decks on habits of successful people and karma cards...fun pick me ups for office dwellers . I love the little cards you peel open and a quote or affirmation is inside, and you open one a day....cute to put in your kids lunch, or a great way to start your day on the positive side. Now all you parents, social workers and therapists run like pirates and get your self esteem shop booty.

The Library is small but has a lot available. The Library has 10 computers, a very good selection…read moreof books for both adults and children. They also do a lot of programs for all groups. In addition to the programs during the school year the offer tutors to those students who are struggling with school work. Parking is limited. Please support the Library.
