Had the most bizarre experience in a pub that I've ever had in my life in here last night! I have been in this pub many times and enjoy the karaoke (Lyndsey is brilliant). My mum had been waiting a while to get served (dont know why coz the pub wasn't busy at all?) one of the barmen (Derek) came into the bar and completely ignored her and served a gentleman that had just walked up seconds before. My mum said "I was before him, I've been sitting here waiting ages for a drink" he then said to the other barman "no more for these ladies ok" and the two of them proceeded to completely blank us. WTF? When questioned he said "no one speaks to me like that, ok". Eventually the little idiot backed down and served us, after the gentleman he had served obv talked some sense into him and told him we had been waiting before him. Defo wont be back only stayed because it was a miserable nite and we really like Lyndsey. With approx 10 people in the bar he was hardly in a position to knock back custom but his little man syndrome clearly took over last nite, looking through the comments here a few people have mention a rude barman, he must make a habit of this dreadful behaviour. At the end of the night a blonde barmaid appeared think she had been downstairs in the bar at a function, after a wee bitching session with the little man and a few icy glares over at our table she she started stormed about very aggressively throwing tables and chairs up and clearing up around 11.40 before we had finished our drinks. It's a shame because the other guys behind the bar on previous visits to this pub couldnt do enough for you, complete opposite of these 2 twats. Avoid this pub unless u want to feel majorly uncomfortable with cliquey, arrogant, immature bar staff. read more
