I had ordered a custom cake for my boyfriend's birthday, and it came out absolutely fantastic! I had placed and paid for my cake online through their website and picked it up about two weeks later. My cake was even ready for pick-up about an hour or so ahead of schedule, and once I picked it up it was exactly to my specifications I had requested the Vanilla buttercream frosting with a chocolate cake base, in pastel yellow. I also added a couple Macarons and a 'Happy Birthday' edible topper for the occasion. IT WAS SO CUTE! I wish I had a better photo of the pastel yellow color, because it was just lovely (the daylight really washed out the color in my photos, it was much brighter in person!). The taste was even better, the frosting was delectable and not over-powering, and the cake was very moist. When I was picking it up, the ladies at the shop were so sweet and friendly. I also saw their Easter treats in the display and now I will be coming back in April just for those! All in all, I am glad Brampton has a wonderful Bakery/Patisserie like Macaron Z! I will be visiting more often!

Macarons in colour of rainbows.... Hot Pink? Turquoise? Peach? Dark Green? Deep Violet? Sexy Red? The funny thing is some of the colors has no direct coordination to the flavours..... The macarons at $2 each though not the best I had but the flavours are quite intense! Love the real pieces of pistachio in the butter cream filling! The set up though a little awkward, not too welcoming for staying in. I would wait for my Yelp friend do a review on the $3.95 peanut butter tart... at that price, it better be good?

Second year in a row I ordered my girlfriend's cake from MacaronZ. She absolutely loved her birthday cake from this year. I got compliments from many people about the cake and wanting to know where I got her cake. A chocolate cake covered in beautiful icing art, melted white chocolate top and little Macarons decor. My girlfriend could eat Macarons all day if she had the chance. Thank you so much for making her birthday great!

Half a dozen of assorted macarons, really good!

Macarons were really tasty. A bit too sweet for my taste, but overall they were delicious! My friend and I bought half a dozen each, but when they opened their box they saw that they were missing a macaron. We went back to the store and the staff there were very accommodating. They apologized and gave her an extra 2 macarons, free of charge. Great service! If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by here to try out some more of their flavours.

It's a cute little place however I think they would have done better at Square One. The macarons are ok, I've had better. With all the hard work and headaches involved in making macarons I can see why they are $2 each. If you are looking for something sweet and special to give as a gift and are tired of giving out chocolate, this would be a nice option. They also have cupcakes which I think have a lot of sugar and egg whites in them as the texture reminds a bit of macarons. If they were closer I'd probably visit again but will not drive there just for the macrons alone. Oh, and speaking of gift giving they do have a small stand with some very simple but interesting jewelry from Paris. Again, it's a cute little place. You must go there see for yourself.

High tea assortment of food -mostly savoury items with dessert items on top.

I've had their macarons before but I went to their high tea for the first time with my friend. We couldn't stop gushing at how cute everything was, from the decor to the food items. We loved most of the items on their menu and everything tasted fresh and was well made while portions were great too. Definitely worth going to.

Cute little bake shop in the heart of downtown Brampton. We have booked a Sunday High Tea session for a group of 6. Reservation is needed ahead and they have two sessions (12:45-2:45pm & 3:00-5:00pm). There are only 3 tables in there (one can accommodate a party of 6, another one for about 4 and the last one for a party of 2). The decor is really nice and the high tea experience was great. The owner greeted us and she was really nice. She offered a selection of tea from Sloane Tea (a Toronto base company). I picked the creamy black tea and it was delicious. We each got our own tea pot, and baked good tray which was very nice and pretty (picture worthy for sure, bring your camera) The menu vary but we all got the same that day. 2 mini quiches (Tomato and a Cheese & Herbs) a Cream Scone with Cream & Mrs. V's Preserves, 2 French Macaron (we got the one caramel and one chocolate dipped), a Shortbread Cookie and a Strawberry Profiterole. We paid $20 each but I think they have just raised their prices to $25. This is a great place for a girls date. I would recommend it.

So far the best macarons I've had are at a French patisserie in Buffalo. These are good, but so…read moreclose to being great. My understanding is that the hardest part of making a macaron is the cookie shell, and these are wonderful. The texture and flavor is just right. The lavender did not make me think of soap initially. The violet absolutely did. That's not a strike against them. Those notes are just so popular in soap, it's an automatic association. The same is true of rose, but it's so often used in drinks and foods that it's not as jarring. The problem I had with these macarons is the filling, and it's probably such an easy fix. It's just too sweet and somehow when combined with the floral flavors, I could swear I had the actual mouth feel of soap by the time I'd eaten all three, like a faint burning on my tongue. I'd definitely recommend the rose lychee, and maybe doing a mix of flavors instead of all floral or having just one at a time. Macarons are 50 cents than the other patisserie I tried (Nadege) during my trip, but still competitively priced.

In the box was: White Chocolate Peach Mousse Fruit Tart Coconut Exotic Fruit Pistachio Mousse Raspberry Mousse Log Cake Aesthetically, all the pastries looked amazing! I felt bad cutting them to take a bite! My favourite is the Coconut Exotic Fruit. All the layers tied nicely together and tasted really good! The fruit tart was also good. Im not the biggest fan of peach but it was not bad as well. The Raspberry Mousse Cake was well balanced and not too sweet or tart. Sadly to say the Pistachio Mousse that was shaped as a cute Christmas tree was my least favourite. As this was a gift, I did not visit the location in person or know the price, but I do want to eat other selection of pastries and cakes if I get the chance!

The place was full of delicious-looking desserts, but I stuck by my cookie craving and wound up grabbing a Florentine. It's fantastic. I also bought some Mini Xmas Cookies to try later and they were equally top-notch. French Corner is the real deal. I'll definitely be returning.

I'm not sure if you could choose what cupcakes came or if they had prepared boxes to choose from, but mine had 6 pairs of unique cupcakes (see picture for details). The cupcakes were not too sweet, which was nice as I sometimes feel I'm just eating sugar and nothing else (they were still sweet of course....just not SUPER sweet). The cream part seemed to be made of buttercream, and the dough part was also light. I liked the variety of options they had, and the cream part was designed very prettily with a flower motif. I haven't dealt with the customer service or looked at the costs, so I'm not sure how comparable it is to other places (my friends did all that...I just ate it :P) But if you like cupcakes, I would say to try it out.

I decided to get a Ferrero rocher macaron and a vanilla cupcake. I usually get a vanilla macaron as a tester but the Ferrero rocher flavour was interesting to me. The macaron was really good. Unfortunately I didn't get to fully enjoy it, as I was eating it outside in the heat and the chocolate and filling were melting rapidly. Even still, it was delicious. I definitely want to go back to try more flavours. The vanilla cupcake was good but not the best I've ever had. The cake was a little too dense for my liking but it wasn't horrible. I will come back to try the red velvet as that's the second flavour I usually try to judge a place on their cupcakes. Can't wait to come back! Wish they had later hours!

But it's still quite close to the downtown Brampton area. It definitely has an independently run feel to it - almost like Ice Cream Cafe downtown and from the decor. They've got a bit of everything. Cupcakes may be their signature as it's in their logo and they had quite a bit of options. I know some other reviewers expressed some disappointment with these (and macaroons) but I didn't order either. My daughter wanted ice cream and my son wanted a donut. Like I said, they have a bit of everything so I was able to satisfy both of their cravings. The ice cream is Chapman's - so nothing exceptional, but does the job and the price is okay. My son got a jelly-filled donut and I got an apple fritter. I can't speak to the experience of others who felt their items were store-bought, but that wasn't my experience at all with the donuts. They both had a unique, homemade taste to them and much better than Tim's. Perhaps a little more expensive than Tim's, but not much and certainly nowhere near as expensive as some of these 'designer' donut shops are charging. On another note, incidentally today I was at a Canada Day event where cookies were handed out and had been prepared by Occasions. It was a simple sugar cookie, but I can say that they were soft and didn't give the impression of being store bought. I'll certainly come back and it's nice to have their type of selection which can keep everyone in the family happy.

I'm on the hunt for some really good sugar cookies and this was the only bakery that I could find in Brampton that had them. It's a cute little shop in a random rundown plaza. When you walk in, you're overwhelmed by all the different types of treats. I decided to treat myself to a vanilla cupcake and sugar cookie. They had several designs of sugar cookies for sale. I went with the cloud. Also, helllooo I always judge places on their vanilla cupcakes. The packaging was super cute. I didn't even say it was for a bday or anything, so I guess they always package everything with tissue paper. I had a bite of the sugar cookie when I got in my car and unfortunately, I did not enjoy it. It left a lingering, almost artificial taste in your mouth. I know everything is made in house, which made it even more disappointing. I was expecting a fresher homemade taste. When I got home I dug right into the cupcake. Again, sadly not so great. The cupcake did taste store bought. Don't get me wrong, the actual cake part wasn't too bad, but it didn't have the texture and taste I'd hope for. The icing also had that artificial taste. Like I said, it really pains me to write this review as I love supporting local businesses. Also, I know everything is made in house, that's why I was expecting more. I also prefer that they didn't fill the cupcakes with icing. I think it's too much when places do this. Sadly, I won't be returning. If anyone knows where I can get sugar cookies in the peel region, holla!!
