Let me start out by saying that nothing about our experience was bad, but it wasn't amazing or outstanding either--Everyone in the Northeast LOVES Macaroni's but it just fell short for me, as someone who is a regular foodie. Food was okay, drinks were okay, service was great. Again, this is in no way a bad review, but if you're willing to leave the NE there are just so many better restaurants for the price point. I had the chicken parm, which was huge and certainly enough for leftovers (which I always appreciate) but flavor was nothing to write home about. I am disappointed with my experience at Macaroni's. I visited with two friends, so there were three of us total. We were seated outside, and the food was good. However, our receipt listed our party as six and automatically added a 20% gratuity. The menu states that parties of six or more are subject to a 20% gratuity. When we questioned this, our waiter explained that all outdoor seating automatically receives the charge, regardless of party size. However, we could not find this policy disclosed on the menu, at the hostess stand, or on the restaurant's website. To be clear, we had no issue tipping our server. Our concern was that we were a party of three, yet the receipt listed six, and the outdoor gratuity policy was not clearly disclosed. We were also the only Black customers there, which made the experience feel especially uncomfortable and raised concerns about whether we were treated differently. We took the parents to Macaroni's and it did not disappoint. We flew in from Arizona and found this fine establishment due to a suggestion from my brother. First and foremost the service is top-notch! Michael and David took great care of us. For appetizer we had the watermelon salad which was absolutely delicious. It had a citrus dressing with a nice piece of burrata, pineapple, and greens. We shared the salad but it was so good that if you have the chance to try this, order one for yourself and don't share! I won't be sharing the next time! For the main course we ordered the halibut special with clams in a nice light broth. The hubby had a 8 oz steak which came with spinach and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked medium rare and was absolute perfection. The father-in-law ordered chicken parm which came with spaghetti. His feedback was that it was a bit salty so this is why we had to take one star away for the food, unfortunately. For dessert we shared a delicious strawberry crunch cake. So yummy! I was pleasantly surprised here. I had heard mixed reviews so I didn't have high expectations. I went with a group of 6 friends. We were seated in a nice corner booth with plenty of room The room had a large party also so it was a bit loud. My friends all enjoyed their cocktails. Lol none for me as I was driving. The food was very good. The presentation was beautiful! My salad had nice fresh lettuce with several slices of citrus, nuts and burrata. I also enjoyed the lobster bisque. It was flavorful and had bits of lobster. Two of us had chicken parm and pasta which was hugh. Both took 1/2 home. They both enjoyed it The Brussels sprouts and apples was also tasty. One of my friends had the pasta carbonara which was more like caci Di peppi. It didn't have a lot of pancetta. The gelato was yummy. It came with three big scoops-chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel. We had 2 servers-a man and a woman. The woman was very nice. The man rushed us for the minute we sat down. He didn't give any time to look at the menu before asking if we were ready to order. While we were eating dessert, he told us people were waiting for the table. It's not the place to go if you want to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal with friends. Street parking is available but it was pretty full. Macaroni's definitely gives a center city high end vibe but in such an accessible location for this area of the city. The ambiance inside is impeccable, it feels very moody and private. But the star of the show was definitely the Lobster Ravioli that I tried - it was probably one of the best ones I've had. The sauce on the plate particularly was so good! We visited your restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. Throughout our visit, we felt overlooked and ignored. We watched staff sing "Happy Birthday" to one family before us. While we were still waiting, another family that arrived after us was also celebrated with a birthday song, received their desserts, and was checked on far more frequently than our table. After we finished our meal, we waited an extremely long time just to receive a dessert menu. When one was finally brought to us, the employee never returned. We then sat for approximately 30 minutes waiting for someone to come back so we could order dessert. Instead, the waiter repeatedly assisted the table directly behind us while our table continued to be ignored. Eventually, I had to get the waiter's attention just to ask for the check because no one had come back to our table. When he returned with the check, I explained that we had wanted dessert but no one ever came back to take our order. His response was, "That's because you asked for the check." I explained that I only asked for the check because we had been waiting so long without anyone returning to our table. What made this especially painful was that this dinner was for my mother's birthday. Watching multiple other families receive birthday recognition while my mother was completely overlooked made us feel unwelcome and deeply disappointed. I cannot say with certainty why we were treated differently, but based on the level of attention and service given to the tables around us compared with ours, we left wondering whether race played a role. Whether intentional or not, that is how the experience felt to us, and no family celebrating a special occasion should leave feeling that way. read more

A small-looking place on the outside opens up to a large and versatile space on the inside. There are seating options from the dining room (more formal), restaurant, indoor bar, outdoor bar, and outdoor tables. We only encountered the nicest, most helpful, and knowledgeable staff while we were here. We came for lunch and sat at the outdoor bar, (which because of the season was more indoor, but has floor to ceiling windows which made us stil feel like we were outside. Sean took care of us and he was amazing. We would love to come back and have him again! He recommended some great food and drink options, which we had to try them all! Our food was amazing, and going at lunch time gave us the highest quality food for lunchtime prices. We had so many amazing things, the only thing we didn't have was dessert but we took their famous Crème Brûlée Cake to go so we will be trying that and reporting back! Found this restaurant online. We went there for my wife's birthday. A wonderful experience all the way around. We sat in the inside dining area. We loved the atmosphere of the whole area there. No complaints about the seating but the table felt a little small in my opinion. I think next time I'll reserve a seat in the dining room instead. Our waiter and his assistant were attentive and friendly. The cocktails were decent (8/10). The complimentary bread with peppers was a nice start. We ordered a couple apps that were pretty good too. For our meals we ordered the vodka rigatoni with chicken and the filet special. The rigatoni was very good and chicken cooked perfectly. The steak was a little disappointing. We ordered it medium, which it was, but the top looked charred and unfortunately the burnt flavor was tasted with each bite. I thought if we cut the burnt portion off then it wouldn't be an issue but strangely enough I could still taste it. For dessert we tried the strawberry cake which was very good. They all seemed to work very well together, making things run smoothly. We shared a Brussels Sprouts appetizer and it was delicious. I really liked the added apples and pancetta. My steak was cooked just right and my fries were very tasty. I believe they were truffle fries. My sister enjoyed her lobster ravioli, and after having a taste, so did I. If I could rate 100 stars I would. The food here is genuinely the best food I've ever had in my life. It's so hard to find such good food with even better incredible staff. Everyone there makes you feel so welcome. The outdoor dining takes you to an oasis feeling. So clean, so vibrant and the vibes are just incredible. I've already recommended multiple families to come and I'll have to try to not come every weekend because I crave the eggplant stack and vodka sauce. They start with typical bread and oil, we got the calamari and Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Calamari was nice and fresh, they added cut peppers which was a nice touch! Brussels sprouts were fried with parmigiana so who wouldn't love it! The meals that we got was the rigatoni, the Sunday special and braised beef! all three dishes are 10/10 hands down. Rigatoni is in one of the best pink sauces, Sunday special was loaded and their marinara is sweet, braised beef was delicious, light on the sauce but meat was spectacular and tender!
