Very hit or miss on the tator tots. These were overcooked and gross. The speak easy sandwich is always delicious. Speedy service, nice location.

Our wait was about 20 min which is nothing for a restaurant after a game on parents weekend. Once we were seated, our server came to take our drink order. Extra points scored for my Coke Zero with no ice. Most servers forget. Because we had a drive home and we wanted to get going and we knew how crowded it was, we put in our app and main order all at once, which our awesome server appreciated. We had the buffalo chicken cheese dip for appetizer. Husband and son said it was good. Could've been a little hotter with bigger pieces of chicken. For dinner husband had the jerk chicken sandwich. Said it was very good. Son had the steak and cheese quesadilla. Said it was good but not very cheesy. I had the garlic parm traditional wings. They were very good but needed a little more flavor. Or just a hint of salt. Otherwise great, and came out nice and hot.

TVs are everywhere but many were showing infomercials during the tournament!! Had the traditional hot wings, which are baked, crunchy and are cooked through. Spice level for "hot" is very mild. The Greek salad is ok. A couple pepperoncini, Kalamata olives, cucumber slices and feta over spring mix is Greek. The jerk tacos were just good. The service was great.

We were visiting Harrisonburg for the weekend and after looking on Yelp for a good place to have…read moredinner on a Saturday night, we decided on Capital Ale House. Lots of prom kids and college students filled the place. We were quickly seated in a nice booth and Nate our server helped us with some stout beers. We had a milk stout and a caramel macchiato stout the latter of which was the best. Looking at the menu I have to say it was not your standard ale house fair. It was definitely "elevated" in this regard. We asked to split a 2 soft shell entree with broccolini & seasoned mash, a bowl of crab bisque and a pierogi sampler. We also asked for an extra plate, to which Nate said he would take care of it. When the food arrived it was divided perfectly. Nate had split the bowl of soup into 2 small bowls and he divided the entree and sides onto 2 plates. The soft shell crabs were HUGE, the largest I had ever seen, and crisply fried to perfection. The sides were equally exquisite in their flavor and preparation. The crab bisque was loaded with fresh lump crabmeat and perfectly seasoned. The pirogies were also excellent in flavor and presentation. It was the most satisfying meal I'd had in a while (could be because I was craving soft shells) Needless to say we were very happy with the food in every way and were stuffed as we asked for the check. Nate/Nathaniel really made the experience as he was highly attentive, though caring for many tables, and was quick to take care of our every need. The place was really rocking with customers and everyone there was having a great time. We'll definitely be back and let everyone we know what a top notch establishment Capital Ale House in Harrisonburg is.

We stopped a guy delivering beer to ask when we would be served. He got our waitress who was far from friendly. It was almost too hard for her to take the food and the drink orders at once because she kept getting it wrong. And of course, it was. She completely forgot about our appetizer until after we had mentioned it several times during our meal. We had to keep flagging her down to refill our drinks. The check had regular instead of happy hour pricing (thankfully i asked to see the breakdown when she just wanted our card). The beer was ok, the food was mediocre, and the service sucked!!

The place is HOPPING on a Friday night. Staff seemed to enjoy working there and have a good team rapport. What I noticed is how many different types of people were enjoying themselves. Middle aged people after work in business attire, young people in casual attire. I think the place is very clever to offer quite exquisite looking Mocktails for the student age population. No reason for anyone to feel left out. Great food and service and a very happy vibe. I wish there were a tad more variety in the menu, but you can't be all things to all people and it is more important to do a select number of items extremely well. We will definitely return.

There was a heater, so we figured we could stand it. The hostess rearranged the tables to seat us close to the heater, and left menus. Soon a waitress came with water and took drink orders. Not long after she returned to take our food orders. While we were waiting for the food, someone brought us some warm blankets. All through our meal people kept checking to see whether we needed anything. It was the best service I have seen in a long time, and I arrange a bi-monthly lunch outing for a club I belong to. The food was delicious. The salmon sandwich was incredible, the burrata appetizer was to die for, and I wish everyone had such good French fries. Everyone enjoyed their food and the warm welcome from the staff on a not very warm day.

We ordered one of the specials, which was a grilled chicken, Gyro sandwich and substituted the side with the arugula salad. The Gyro could have used a little bit more seasoning but was very tasty. The arugula salad was the best I've had and served with beets, feta, onions, pecans, and couscous. We actually ordered a second one. We also ordered the Reuben sandwich which was served with a hefty portion of corned beef and served on marble rye. We ordered it with a cup of the potato soup which was blended with leeks, carrots, celery--delicious. Great experience!

I've always gotten the extra bread rolls I asked for with no judgment at all! We went here since it was close to the resort we were staying at and it was a great decision. The restaurant was packed due to Mother's Day but we were seated after a 30 min wait which we didn't mind. The dinner rolls were delicious as always. We got 2 16 oz NY strip steak dishes with mashed potatoes, fries, chili, and Caesar salad. We also got the steak kabobs which came with seasoned rice and fries. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and the portions were large enough for us to take home leftovers for extra meals!! Our server was kind enough to give us additional dinner rolls with the delicious cinnamon butter to take home. I will always rely on Texas Roadhouse for a great meal. My only complaint is the chili recipe has changed. It used to be "Texas style" chili meaning no beans were added and cubes of meat were used instead of ground beef which seems to have changed. They now have lots of kidney beans and ground beef in the chili which I will replace with another side when I visit next.

Our waiter is okay, a little forgetful. The food is almost always good. I had the smallest ribeye at 12 ounces and apparently it was too big because I still had half a steak by the time I got done. But I think I also ate way too many buttered rolls with their famous brown sugar butter. It's very loud because it's so crowded, but everyone is nice. I'm glad we came here for dinner and I'm even more glad I wore stretchy leggings lol.
