We waited over a month to get our pallets. We paid $1562.00 total with shipping. There is also a $25.00 wire fee from the bank. We kept asking and they said there was no food available yet. On February 2nd, 2024, we were informed that the warehouse had combined the two pallets into one. Which we found odd that they were going to put 2000lbs of pet food onto one pallet. The truck came on Wednesday the 7th with a very tiny pallet weighing 900lbs, wood pallets themselves weigh 45lbs. We immediately let Dara know who shifted responsibility to Dave, who we have yet to hear from. He has been out of the office. The pallet was shipped from a company called Bgb Pet Supply 5150 Flushing Rd, Flushing, MI 48433. The pallet had a total of 63 items with a full retail value of $1,937.01 but everything is expired. Normally salvage pet food is sold at 15-20% of retail and the discount store owner sells at 50-60% of retail. So, we will sell this at 50% off the full retail price. Which give us a value of $968.50 which will give us a minimal loss of -$593.50 I thought this company was a supplier for discount store owners, but I guess not. They could have had a long-term customer, but they don't seem to care about that. Have yet to hear from Dave

I've been to Daiso in Seattle and it seemed that they had a lot more merchandise there. I liked the aisles with the food. I was happy to find some items that they don't carry at the local Asian stores. When we were ready to check out, there were 3 people ahead of us and a line forming behind us. There were no employees at the registers and the self checkout registers had error messages so they couldn't be used. My husband found an employee who was restocking the shelves. Lol, my husband said that the employee didn't seem happy that he had to go up front. While the employee was ringing up the items, his coworkers started arriving. He mentioned to them that he was getting ready to clock out... no wonder he didn't seem happy. A different coworker came up front and cleared the error messages on the self checkout registers which made the line move quickly.

Ashely was kind, greeted me with a smile and retrieved my order within seconds . I shared with Ashley my experience when I went to pick up my last order at the Aventura mall, which wasn't such a good experience. Walmart has been rolling out remodeled stores that they are calling the Store of the Future. They are sinking more than half a billion dollars into upgrades to create a more modern shopping experience. It's costs approximately $750,000 to transform each store. 150 stores will be upgraded over the next five years. One of the first stores made their debut in The Villages. This supercenter store seems much larger than your typical Walmart. It is spotless and the organization is more aligned to an upscale department store. Remodeled stores have new paint, new signs, more shopping carts, a new checkout design at the front of the stores and more space for both shoppers and employees. The pharmacies will be increased and the vision center will be updated. The grocery pickup and delivery programs are expanded along with the produce and deli sections, an added new Grab & Go section, and new community-focused food and merchandise offerings. This store was very crowded but I was impressed. I was floored to see actual displays! Clothing options were vast and organized neatly by size. I could have shopped here all day. For once was my cart was not a hunk of junk but rolled and maneuvered smoothly. While there was a line to check out it moved very quickly. I had my choice of a paper receipt but I also had it texted to my phone. No more lost or smudged receipts, genius! If this is what Walmart has in store for the future bring it on. By the way you can do much more than just shop for needed items and groceries. You can also get your phone fixed, do your taxes, get your nails done, check your vision, and eat at Churro Mania and Charley's Cheesesteaks. This Walmart is not much better than my local store.
