We FINALLY got a Daiso!!! Snagged this black hotpot for $8. Wanna make bibimbap with crispy rice. Yessss!!!

We FINALLY got a Daiso in South Florida!!! Located specifically in Miami Gardens area. Yesssss. Every year we head out to Los Angeles to visit family and friends, and Daiso is usually on the list of places to stop into while we're out west. They have about 6500 locations worldwide with 4600 Daiso stores in Japan alone. Daiso is a Japanese discount store that sells so many items such as the following: * Kitchen * Beauty * Stationary * Storage * DIY Supplies * Asian Snacks * Fake Plants * Greeting Cards * Arts & Crafts * Pet Items * Beverages * Bags * Stickers * Stuffed Animals * Notebooks * Socks * Slippers * AND SO MUCH MORE!!! They offer these cool finds at an affordable price. I love going mainly for the cute Sanrio brand items at a great price. They have characters such as Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Tuxedo Sam, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, Keroppi and more. I love the stationary options! My favorite find here is usually the magnetic bookmarks they sell for maybe five dollars and you can find at Barnes & Noble or other retailers for $10 and up. I collect but I also share with my book loving friends. Magnetic bookmarks are the best! Came here a few weeks after their initial grand opening so it wasn't super crowded. Got some good finds including a black Earthen Pot usually used for bibimbap. Like a ceramic pot. Also found snacks, stickers, small kitchen serving dishes and a few other things. I was good and didn't spend that much money. The line was a bit long when we went to check out but they had regular cashiers on one side and self checkout registers on another side. I'm all about the self checkout as I feel it's quite efficient. Nice spot. Check it out if you're in the area!

I came here for the first time after seeing all the rave about it in social media. It's an interesting concept and I am very curious on Japan items. However, a lot of the shelfs in the food section were empty. But I understand this could be due to its popularity. I could not tell a lot of the pricing of different items until I got to the register and it was rung up. I loved how neat the home goods section was. It felt like I was in IKEA located in Japan. Once the hype decreases, I will return and hopefully see more of the items the store has to offer.

Daiso is a Japanese discount store founded in 1977 in Japan by Hirotake Yano. Daiso has grown to 3,620 stores in Japan, and nearly 2,300 all over the world. They sell over 100,000 products including kitchen gadgets, faux florals, beauty items, stationary, storage, holiday decorations, cleaning products, snacks, and more. This store opened today in Miami Gardens in Gardens Promenade. If you shop today and tomorrow and spend a minimum of $20, you can get a free tote bag. I have become a Daiso fan from numerous Instagram posts and was eagerly awaiting for a store to open locally. The line was extremely long both to get in and then to check out so I recommend waiting until the hype dies down a bit but if you like discount shopping this store is worth a visit. Prices range from $2.25 to $18. This store reminds me of a Five Below or a MINISO. They have a lot of cute things including Disney items. I especially love their Halloween and snack sections. I have my eye on a few things once the crowd dies down.

ABOUT. DARN. TIME! I was super excited to know that they finally opened up a Daiso in Florida, and not where you would think right away such as Orlando, but rather Miami Gardens of all places LOL. Listen, I'm not complaining. I'm super happy about it. Anywho, this store just recently had it's grand opening and is conveniently located in a plaza of heavy hitters from Burlington to Five Below to Marshalls to Dollar Tree, etc. Truly, this plaza is a haven for bargain shopping! And this is a huge plaza with plenty of free parking. Not to mention, the parking lot is also well lit, which is a plus especially since I dislike dark and dingy spaces because it feels less safe. Once you enter the store, there are baskets available, and then you can shop to your heart's desire. There are so many things from stationary to gardening to kitchen appliances and utensils and toys and make up and snacks... truly the choices are endless. Not to mention, the best part is they're good quality for being so reasonably priced. And don't be afraid of not understanding the pricing, because there is a pricing conversion chart available. If there's no price indicated, that means that it is $2.25 but if there is a price indicated, you can easily refer to the chart. Once you're ready to check out, there is a cashier attendant available at the counter or there are two machines for a self-service checkout. So it's super convenient. If you didn't know about this place, now you know. So go ahead and shop til you drop!

Daiso has come to South Florida (Miami Gardens) and I'm so excited!! I was able to attend their grand opening because who doesn't love a free tote bag! If you were one of the first 200 customers on their grand opening day, you were able to receive one with a $20+ purchase... and that was super easy to accomplish. Daiso is a Japanese goodies store that I would compare to something similar to a dollar tree or five & below but on steroids with many many many things at affordable prices. From household items to camping to journaling to Japanese snacks, they have a great variety. I always make it a point to visit a Daiso when I'm on the west coast and always get amazing things so I was so excited to hear that there was one opening in Miami Gardens. Opening day was a lot with lines forming well before opening time. We came a bit after opening and were in the back of the line that kept growing but it moved rather fast. Shopping was interesting since there were so many people but I never felt overcrowded for the morning shopping experience. Check out was on a whole other level though with us waiting over an hour to check out as the line wrapped around the store. With that said, I was super impressed with how the staff handled grand opening weekend. Since then, I've already been back on a weekday to grab some quick items and it was a breeze to shop there. I love picking up journaling items and home good items. If you're into Sanrio or Disney, they also have some cute things here! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and want to check it out! So happy to have Daiso in South FL!

Florida never gets anything good but this, I love Daiso ever since I went to Texas. It's like the Five Below but make it Japanese. Located down in Miami Gardens, about 2 streets down from the Hard Rock Stadium. It's in a plaza that feels like it is dead but it's not too bad once you get closer. There are other stores like Old Navy, Marshalls. Walking in, it is bright, clean. There probably like 8-12 aisles, things that range from Japanese snacks, home goods, stationary and even gardening. The prices could range from 2-30 dollars, there are cheat sheets around the store to let you know how much the items cost. Take your time and carefully read, or ask for assistance. Theres so much about this store that you might feel overwhelmed but i promise, this is such a cute, fun and lovely store. They can check you out, but they also have self check out. Highly recommend. Now we just need to get a H-Mart down here in Miami!

Finally, I had a chance to go to Daiso! This place was surprisingly clean and big. I was planning to get anything but once I started looking around, I couldn't help but grabbing some snacks I didn't know I needed it. The price is of course higher than the original price, but for you to enjoy what Japanese dollar stores offer, this is it! There were so many cutomers with kids and they seemed enjoying the shopping there. I will be back to get some more snacks!

I'm not even the type of person who writes reviews, but the behavior I witnessed was so disrespectful and disgusting that I couldn't stay quiet. I returned a box of stroopwafels (Cookies) that were stale. Only one cookie had been eaten because that's how I realized they were bad. The first cashier was professional and processed the return with zero issues. Then another employee inserted herself and immediately accused us of "eating too much" before even checking the box. She was loud, rude, and confrontational for no reason. When my partner pointed out that every box only comes with a few cookies to begin with, she left to check, -came back and confirmed we were right, but still kept arguing. She refused to call a manager when asked, insulted my partner by calling him "stupid," and even made inappropriate personal comments about our relationship. All of this over a single stale cookie... and after the return had already been processed. The whole interaction felt hostile, unprofessional, and full of unnecessary attitude. I left feeling disrespected and targeted, and it genuinely ruined what should've been a simple errand during my birthday weekend. I hope management actually addresses this, because no customer deserves to be treated this way. If nobody addresses this I think I will have to make a more formal complaint on BBB or something.

The first Five Below opened up in 2002 in Pennsylvania and there are now 1,850 stores throughout the United States. Five Below has been rapidly expanding. The concept of the store is everything costs $5 or less. At least it used to be. Something I noticed through the years is that they are offering more and more items over $5, especially tech, more elaborate holiday decorations, and room decor. They now have a room in the back of the store where some of the items are as high as $25. Their inventory is mainly marketed to kids and teens. Expect to see a lot of nods to pop culture. If you have a young person in your life then you are probably well acquainted with this discount chain. Departments include seasonal decorations, tech, work out, play, beauty, and snacks. You can't beat their $5 t-shirts and I always find myself drawn to the snack aisle. When my daughter was younger I would shop for inexpensive birthday party presents, stocking stuffers, and cheap room decor. Now I find myself stopping by to pick up cute motivators for the kids I work with. The store is currently all decked out for Halloween. It is worth popping in from time to time to see what is new.
