Jesse at Mac Daddy went above and beyond to help with my Sprinter Van. He tracked down hard-to -get parts and gave me options, walking me through different rear view camera installs. His advice was well thought-out and he was professional and easy to work with. I haven't found anyone around GJ that delivers even close to the same level of service. Highly recommended. read more

My wife and I were recently in Grand Junction passing through on a camping trip in our 2012 Sprinter, and got a check engine light. I searched locally for a Sprinter mechanic, which yeilded MacDaddy Motorworx in top results- So i called, and the owner (Craig) fit in a diagnosis quickly- He was very kind and gracious to help. We were on our way after a minor issue was found with a glow plow plug module. Craig even helped us out with a last minute DEF fluid (it was low!) sale at their cost, which was great before the drive after. Thanks Craig!- we cannot recommend your shop enough to locals and the surrounding region or people passing through GJ! read more

When my Sprinter mysteriously broke down while driving back from Indian Creek, we felt like we were doomed: no one in Moab would even go near it, so we had to get a tow into Grand Junction to MacDaddy Motor Worx, who very graciously squeezed us in during their really hectic schedule. Upon arrival, we were greeted by excellent customer service from Jake, and an auto shop full of mechanics who truly enjoy working on Sprinters. We knew it would be expensive, and take some time. Jake was so kind and drove us out to a local coffee shop, then later we got a call from a local hotel who had been contacted by MacDaddy to help us find somewhere nice to stay while we were stuck in town. I was blown away by their kindness and hospitality. Did I end up dropping nearly $1000 on my van? Yes. But did I also end up driving back to Grand Junction from Denver to get my 10k oil change/service at this auto shop because I loved them so much? Yes. And did they give me a great discount on the servicing? Yes. Did the owner of the shop spend some time chatting us up and offering true advice on what we needed to do to the van to keep it running? Double yes. I can't recommend this place enough. If you have a Sprinter and need it serviced in the area, this is the place to go. My van is my home, and I trust these guys with it 100%. read more

Great staff and quick service. Called in am for oil change on our RV while we were passing thru. They squeezed us in same day and had us out quick so we could continue on the next day. Craig was awesome and gave us some great recommendations on our trip going forward. Kids didn't want to leave the pool table and air hockey in the waiting area. Highly recommend these guys! read more

Mac Daddy Motor Worx - Auto Repair Near Me - Grand Junction, Colorado

I came in for brakes, not even knowing they could fix my headlight and give my car an oil change! My car didnt even need new brakes, and they told me as much, when they could've charged me anyway and I wouldnt have known otherwise...just like another reviewer's experience. Honest car shop...thats usually an oxymoron, but not here! My experience was awesome and everyone was very friendly. They also offer shuttle service if you need to get to work. Amazing business! Definitely bring your car here instead of elsewhere! :) Last time l went to the dealership and they fixed the wrong headlight and charged me more than MacDaddy for the SAME service. Plus MDaddy was way faster! read more

This place is the most caring and professional auto shop I have ever been to. After my car broke down on the side of the highway, MacDaddy Motorworx quickly picked me up and gave me a tow back to their shop. The employees here, specifically Toby and Jesse, kept me in the loop through every step of the way, gave me straight answers to my questions, and even though my car was beyond repair, these guys helped me as much as they could, drove me to a hotel, gave me a ride to the bus station, and let me keep my broken car at their shop for the weekend while I figured out what to do. Finally, I felt they genuinely cared for my best interest and went above and beyond. I seriously don't know what I would have done without them! 10/10 I recommend MacDaddy Motorworx . read more

These guys are great, the owner Craig is helpful, informative and easy to work with. I wouldn't take our vehicle anywhere else -- very glad they are here in GJ! We took our Audi A4 here, and the service re received was stellar at every step in the process.. I HIGHLY recommend Mac Daddy. read more

Everyone here takes exceptional car of you and tries to be as accommodating as possible. They are not the type of people who try to rip you off and get the most of your money. Highly recommend this place and the friendly environment they provide! read more

These guys are Great. I have worked at Porsche/Audi/VW dealers for years till moving here where there is a real lack of them. That is fine as these do great work for a whole lot less. They have worked on my Boxter S, Tiguan and friends Jettas. Do not listen to the silly person below about oil cost. This place is great. read more

DO NOT Take your car here to get serviced!!! I am new to the area, and read the reviews on here saying they were great, honest, helpful, etc!!! They were very nice when I dropped my car off, gave me a shuttle to work, and were VERY friendly!!! However----when I went to pick up my car for a simple oil change the cost was $62!!!!! I have lived in Southern California prior to living here and even the high end shops never charged me more than $45. I hope they do go work on vehicles...but geez!!!! This price is DOUBLE what it should be!!!! I will not be going back!!! read more

Took my old BMW in because it would not start, no ignition spark. The shop changed the coil and recommended $1,100 plus to include crank and cam sensors, cap, rotor and nearly everything else on the car. When I told them I needed to pull the car they were nice enough to take their coil back and only charged me the tow bill and another $75 to $100 so I could then tow my car home on my own. Happy to say now that I took the car to a real German car repair shop it only had a loose connection at the ignition wire harness connector and it runs fine no parts needed! read more

With a name like Mac Daddy, how can you go wrong? Total gearheads, and by far my favorite mechanics of any, ever, in the history of my life, the folks at Mac Daddy are knowledgeable, super helpful and incredibly nice. The shop is run and owned by Paul and Tina Woodward (who may be the cutest married couple you've seen), with assistance from Craig Wieland. Paul's been a mechanic for over 25 years, and Craig has famously been pulling apart and fixing engines since he was 5. While Mac Daddy specializes in "European & High-End Luxury Auto Repair", they'll cheerfully fix anything from a dune buggy to my little Honda. Even better, if they can't fix it, or think someone else will be better suited for the job they will send you to that someone else with a wave and a smile. read more

I have known these guys a long time. They do good work. If they can't fix it, they will tell you so and recommend someone that can. I am happy with the services that they have performed for me. I have had a timing belt done on a subaru and a clutch done on a toyota t-100. All done well. read more

My 2005 Sprinter based RV was running hot. Turned out to be a failing fan clutch. Called Mac Daddy, set up an appointment and they had me back on the road in no time. Fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. read more

I have a new mechanic. These guys are great. They pride themselves on doing it right. I thought I had some serious problems with my SAAB but they are honest and they got the problems fixed. They even went out of their way to correct work that was done wrong by a different mechanic. read more

Awesome, my 2005 Sprinter went into "limp mode" between Moab and Grand Junction. Paden got me right in, diagnosed a cracked booster hose, duct tape it up and showed me how to change it once I got home to Steamboat Springs. Had me on my way in less than an hour. Wished I lived closer, I would use their shop for all my me mechanical needs read more

We were traveling through GJ on our way to climbing in Rifle CO Our 2004 Sprinter developed a fuel leak. Mac Daddy saw us immediately ordered the parts and took care of the problem. It was amazing. If you have a sprinter you need to know about this shop they are honest, knowledgeable and efficient. read more

A++ for honesty--they ran initial diagnostics and found a probable cause. Further diagnostics required a specialized piece of equipment that only Mercedes has. They could have shotgunned the repair replacing multiple $1000+ parts until one of them worked. Instead, they recommended a Mercedes dealership that could run the required diagnostic. They charged us nothing. Thanks guys!!! read more

My experience was the opposite of these reviews. My van was there for two months with 2.5 hours of labor. I received at most one call from MacDaddy after I left my van. They did not call me to order parts, they didn't order the parts after I would call them. I had to bring in parts needed each time. This happened many times because they did not properly identify the parts I brought these indiscretions up to the owner and he said "transitional times are tough". He knows I own many other vehicles they service, I guess he gets enough business that he doesn't need any more. Would have given 2 stars if my van's battery wasn't dead upon pickup, which says a bit more. read more

I had a check engine light on when I went through the mountains, so I stopped at this repair facility to see if they could help me make sure it was safe to travel home to CA through the desert, and fix whatever was wrong if need be. They were so kind and checked the trouble codes, printed out a list of what came up, ran a test to make sure I'd be safe traveling, and sent me on my way free of charge! They explained what was going on in a way I could understand and told me to give the printout to my repair person once I got home so he could see what was going on. They cleared the check engine light so if it came on again I could stop knowing it was happening again. I had run over the yellow lines in front of their shop which had just been painted and they even cleaned my car off for me. I would absolutely recommend Mac Daddy Motorworx LLC to anyone. They are honest and kind, plus they have some cool tables made out of jaguar motors they will tell you about if you ask! Thank you Mac Daddy!! read more

I am driving across the country and my car started acting weird while driving over the mountains. I stopped in to have it looked at first thing on a Monday morning, and even though they were incredibly busy, they knew I was traveling, so they worked me in. They were done and I was out of there before it was even time to continue the trip! If I lived in Grand Junction, they would be my regular mechanics; it's a great place! read more
