A very busy place but we dropped off our car to be checked out, they gave us a timely call back with what they found to be the problem. Because of the age and mileage, we decided to forgo the repair. My son attends college here and his truck wasn't running properly, they got him in and got him fixed for such a reasonable price and treated him with respect. I came to town for a visit and my car died, we were so worried it was going to be a costly repair. I had the car towed to the shop on a Friday afternoon and received a call Monday! They informed me that my new(er) battery was bad, so they did the warranty work with the auto store we'd purchased it from, cleaned it up and got me out of the door for $57!!! I can't believe how wonderful and kind this place was! My 2 boys and me single mom out of town broke down today and they got me in and fixed in a couple hours! Not to mention they gave our dog a treat and water bowl! Car is great. I broke down in a bad part of town so I was shakin! To say the least...we got to the office was reassured they would do their best. My 1 son broke down crying. They really made it great and helped get a part that was under warranty and just charged for labor. They don't need this revue. Driving from Las Vegas to Minnesota, and 14 miles outside of Grand Junction, the dreaded check engine light came on. Not what anyone wants on a long road trip when you've got pets with you and are loaded down. A quick Yelp search turned up Mueller's, and I called. Bob said I could go straight there and he'd scan my vehicle. True to his word, he did just that. It turned out to be a timed required maintenance light that wasn't reset at the maintenance I had before taking off. He scanned everything to be sure, reset the light, and all is good. I recently had a timing belt go out and my poor car needed quite a bit of repair. It was all taken care of efficiently and at a fair price. I appreciate Sandy up front who was always so nice when I called to get a status update and Bob was patient with me when I had a thousand questions on what needed to be repaired and why. I've been a customer for 20 years. Here's how a missed diagnosis cost me $3000. I'll try to be brief. Check engine light on. First problem: burnt shorted wire in left bank front O2 sensor. Replaced. Light back on. Misfire caused by oil on #5 spark plug. Replaced plug even though no evidence of oil on plug. Light back on. Trip to AZ. Back a few months later. Read codes in AZ at Autozone. Misfire on 2 left bank cylinders cause by fuel injectors. Developed thumping sound lower rear of engine at idle as heard in cab. Back to Muller check engine light on this whole time. Mr Muller sits in cab and listens to thumping. "Sounds like main bearing." How much to rebuild/replace engine? "Oh, we don't do engine work." Soon discovered no one in GJ wants to. Removed/rebuilt engine myself. Chevy 454 in RV. Thimping still there. Problem: misfires first diagnosed as fouled plug (NOT) but caused by fuel injectors destroyed catalytic converter. Replaced cc myself for $200. Replaced fuel injectors with rebuild, $400. I've never felt comfortable at Mullers. They don't seem to enjoy what they do but I stayed with them because they seemed to know what they were doing. Prior to finding the burned O2 sensor wire Mr Muller called me and stated that the distributor was 180 degrees off. ??? I feel that if he would have taken the time to investigate the thumping he would have found the real problem. Catalytic converter. Looking for a new mechanic. read more

I've used Mueller's on several occasions over the past few years to help keep my 15-year-old minivan running, and they've always been friendly and transparent on the work, cost, timeline to complete work, etc. Most recently, I showed up without calling ahead, needing help with a busted windshield wiper, and just assumed there was no other option but replacing it. I also wasn't expecting the part needed would be on-hand. First, they were able to get my original wiper back in action in a few seconds, but pointed out that the wipers were streaking. They didn't charge me for the on-the-spot fix, offered to look up the cost of replacement wipers, had them at the shop in a few hours and installed on the same afternoon. Did I mention they didn't charge for labor? I know the job only took a few minutes but I'd fully expected to pay a little bit for their time. I really appreciate that Mueller's is there long-term for their customers, and makes a stressful thing like auto repair quite hassle-free. read more

Was driving from San Diego to Vail and the check engine light came on during a snowstorm so we were obviously nervous. Mueller's was super busy but he said he could at least do a diagnostics exam for us. It was no big deal and he was able to reset the monitor. Afterwards he wouldn't even take our money! I was visiting from out of state when I though I had damaged the front wheel on my Chevy van from rough driving on a dirt road. There was a loud squeaking noise. I took it to Mueller's and dropped it off. I asked for a number to get a taxi back to my brothers house. They said no problem and gave me a ride across town. They called later in the day and told ne the wheel was fine it was just some loose plastic bolt covers and they checked all the wheels and I was good to go. I was a little shocked, being from out of state I figured I was going to get taken to the cleaners. I wish these guys were in Kansas City I wouldn't use anyone else. They didn't charge me and I felt kind of bad I took up their time and got a free ride, I would of been more then happy to pay for an hour of labor.
