We found ourselves stranded in Grand Junction about 200 miles from home on a Saturday afternoon and almost had lost all faith in humanity after calling every single mechanic/tire shop in town trying to get help before every one closed for the weekend. All the big name corporate shops (Big O, Firestone, etc) were backed up or claimed they could not do diagnostics on our vehicle on a weekend despite providing outrageous quotes and having us stop by" just to see" before ultimately turning us away. Finally after stopping by 3 different shops and 18 phone calls around town, we found Good Neighbor Mechanics and they came through for us. This husband and wife duo are 100% good people. They are kind, honest, transparent and knowledgeable. We were told by multiple mechanics that labor would take 2-3 hours minimum and that we would have to fix more parts than we really needed to in order to get back on the road. Mike was able to fix our issue in a grocery store parking lot in 80 degree weather in under 45 minutes with out all the resources of a big corporate operation. With in minutes he was able to diagnose the issue and his wife Frankie drove across the parking lot to the parts store to get the parts they needed, which they didn't even up charge us for. Mike was very educational with me about what he was seeing under the hood and even made recommendations on things he thought I should address once we made it home. Frankie even followed up with us a few days later to make sure we made it home safely and that there weren't any new issues. Hands down this was the best experience with any autoshop or mechanic I've ever had.

I gave Good Neighbor Mechanics a call and he not only let me know he could get the work done that day but for less than half the price as well. He let me know exactly what was getting done, what else he was going to inspect so I would be aware if the price needed to go up, and was kind enough to deliver my car to me and the hotel I checked into. Hello: I was happy to find a shop to service my son's car. They made the scheduling and drop-off…read moreeasy and the service was performed quickly. A few months go by and the thermostat that they replaced failed. I contacted them to discuss this issue, but the car was now in the metro Denver area and not near Grand Junction. I had no choice, but to take to car to a local shop (1 .6 miles from my house) as the vehicle was leaking antifreeze profusely and overheating; There was no way for the car to make the 4 hour trip to Grand Junction. I discussed this with Scott's when this occurred initially and the Service Consultant was unaware of any process to follow for warranty other than to bring the vehicle back to their shop. After getting the thermostat replaced by the local shop I followed up with Scott's and after multiple emails and phone calls to discuss their warranty, I was now informed of their process. With this new story, there was no way to rewind what had already been repaired by the local shop. I submitted a copy of the invoice and asked for credit for the repair to be used at their shop in the future and was told that wasn't going to happen. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss this further and have yet to receive a call back after multiple calls and emails. Scott's: I understand that parts fail, but what I can't understand is how you let your customer service fail.

After the estimator took about 20 pictures of all sides of my truck she told me she would sent me an estimate via e-mail. I then went to an auto shop for a 2nd estimate. 2nd place gave me an estimate within 10 minutes of arriving and made an appointment to have the new running boards installed. After I waited for 4 days I contacted Kaizen to see why I'd never received an estimate and was told that the running boards for my truck were obsolete and estimator was checking suppliers for replacements. All she had to do was check Amazon. So needless to say I'll never go back to Kaizen for anything. I believe they're liars and shysters and not worth my time nor money.
