I am a contractor and I use to work on all my vehicles. I don't have the time anymore but I do…read moreunderstand vehicles and their operations. I've been through 9 mechanics in the Grand Valley. None have come through and done the thorough inspection I have asked for. At Scotty's I didn't ask for a full inspection but they did one free of charge anyways. These guys are the best in town so far. Literally nobody else showed near as much professionalism or kindness as they have. a big Thank you from Solveson Builders

Hello: I was happy to find a shop to service my son's car. They made the scheduling and drop-off…read moreeasy and the service was performed quickly. A few months go by and the thermostat that they replaced failed. I contacted them to discuss this issue, but the car was now in the metro Denver area and not near Grand Junction. I had no choice, but to take to car to a local shop (1 .6 miles from my house) as the vehicle was leaking antifreeze profusely and overheating; There was no way for the car to make the 4 hour trip to Grand Junction. I discussed this with Scott's when this occurred initially and the Service Consultant was unaware of any process to follow for warranty other than to bring the vehicle back to their shop. After getting the thermostat replaced by the local shop I followed up with Scott's and after multiple emails and phone calls to discuss their warranty, I was now informed of their process. With this new story, there was no way to rewind what had already been repaired by the local shop. I submitted a copy of the invoice and asked for credit for the repair to be used at their shop in the future and was told that wasn't going to happen. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss this further and have yet to receive a call back after multiple calls and emails. Scott's: I understand that parts fail, but what I can't understand is how you let your customer service fail.

Invoice is self explanatory. Want to get robbed? Come to this shop. 600 miles and 28 hours is…read moreridiculous and unjustifiable for a tune, every other shop in the WHOLE state of colorado charges a flat rate but since i dont have a shop i've owned for 20 years to rob people out of, i must not know anything about mechanics as the owner claims. Interior of my car was left dirty, both of my seats covered in dirt/grease and the fabric in the interior is covered in some black soot, including the back seat area, 2 of the center caps for my rims are missing. Steering wheel/shifter covered in grease and carbon. Noticed a bunch of rattling noises when taking a turn or braking in the car when driving it back home. Owner wouldnt let me pay with a card claiming i would dispute it with my bank (which makes sense when youre being robbed/scammed) and said i could only pay him cash after complaining about his audi dealer pricing, claiming its "quality" work and he doesnt cut corners lol. Gave me a receipt after paying cash but wouldnt put his signature on it, he only wrote paid on the receipt and said if i had any issues to bring it back. Rather take it to denver to a shop thats ACTUALLY knows what theyre doing not pretending. Ordered parts without my approval and claimed he quoted me the job would be 6-10k which is beyond crazy when the 10 other different shops quoted me 3.6k for tuning and installing ALL of the parts. Asked a few groups/shops about my situation and they already knew the shop without mentioning the name. Not the way to do business but what do i know since i havent been scamming people for 20 years? 0 star rating instead of 1. UPDATE: Drove the vehicle home 2 hours (about 100 miles) home and got in the car the next morning and drove to glenwood which is 30 miles, and the car threw a check engine light for the pedal position sensor that i was charged 2x the price of one for. You would think after 600miles and 28 hours in the car and being told they checked the wiring, pins, harness and everything related to the pedal sensor it would be fixed.
