Disappointed After Years of Loyalty…read more I've been going to Karmita's salon in Mohegan Lake for years and always trusted her with my hair--color, highlights, cut, and blow-dry. However, my last visit (about a week ago) was a huge letdown. My hair came out nothing like it usually does. It looked dark, with just a few thick highlights, instead of the usual base #8 with blonde highlights that I always get. When I called Karmita to talk about it, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. After all these years, I expected at least some concern or willingness to fix it--maybe ask me to come back so she could take a look. Instead, she dismissed me and only offered to use a clarifying shampoo, warning that if my hair turned green, she wouldn't take responsibility. That felt cold and honestly, very disappointing. I even went to her salon in person hoping to talk, but she wasn't there. Unfortunately, I had to travel the next day, and after washing my hair once, my hair turned green my hair is damaged now and dry it's falling apart looks dead I was in tears--especially with an important event coming up on the top of that the hair cut she cut my bangs way to short when I pointed out she reply don't worry it will grow quick. I don't know what she put to my hair or perhaps she left the product on my hair too long. I felt hurt and betrayed. It's clear the quality of her work and products has gone downhill, and I will never ever go back to her salon. Now I have to wait at least 60 days to fix my hair I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else. If you still decide to go, good luck. But be careful with your hair. I got home and realized two big issues with my order. 1. I got sale items where you buy one and get two free. The third item was never scanned but was given to me, and I got charged for the second item (not free). 2. I bought two sets of rings, buy one get one free, and the rings were not placed in the bag. I returned to the store today to receive the credit back for the 2nd sale item, scan in the 3rd sale item, and ask for the ring sets. The manager was very rude and was extremely ineffective. I brought back the sale items and the receipt with me in a bag. She said that she could not fix the items that were on sale unless we brought back all the items that I purchased. I asked her to please return the two sales items and ring up all three together and apply the buy one get two free sale. She refused and said that it would cost more money for me and that she could not do it without the rest of the clothes. I told her that I was hoping to get this handled because her sales representative made a mistake the day before and that I did not want to have to go back home AGAIN and come back. She reluctantly agreed and returned the items and re-scanned them and it worked out perfectly. I should not have to convince and reason with her to complete this task to get the money back that I deserve. On top of this, I mentioned that I had never received the ring sets. She stated that she could do nothing about this because "anyone could come in and lie about that", which insinuated that I was being untruthful. I told her that I was a valued customer with a credit card and have spent thousands of dollars at their store and I would like her to please look around if they were left behind. She checked a few drawers and told me that she does not know what to do. I said I would like money towards the store in place of the missing rings. She refused to give me store credit and restated that "there was nothing she could do" so I left extremely upset. Not only was the manager rude, not helpful, and inadequate in her position, but she also made it unlikely for me to return to the store even though I love the clothes. I do not appreciate the way that this situation was handled with the manager and I hope that torrid can speak to her or do something about this. It is highly inappropriate to be spoken to and handled as stated above.

I get Seasonal affective disorder. 10 minutes in a tanning bed makes me feel like a new person. I never want the 10 minute to end I dream of laying on the beach. This is the first time I have ventured into a non-grocery type store since March of this year due to Covid. I was very happy to see that the management of this store takes the health and safety of both their employees and the public seriously.

I recently had a child and moved into the Mt Kisco area from Manhattan where I would frequently shop in many GAP locations. Financial district location being my favorite. The service is always excellent and the people are always helpful. Diane in the Mt Kisco store is extremely rude, very unhelpful and it seems she doesn't want to work. I have visited the store numerous times in the last 2 months and I always receive stand offish treatment from her. I am a African American women I'm not sure if my skin color is the reason but perception is reality and that's the way it appears. I am writing in concern and I would suggest having a training with Diane who works in the Kids gap side of the Mt Kisco store. The lovely lady who works on the adult side is always pleasant to work with!
