I booked a makeup appointment at the Sephora in Danbury Fair Mall for Halloween, and it turned out amazing! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The artist who did my makeup took her time--she never rushed--and really listened to what I wanted. The end result was honestly the best makeup I've ever had. I felt beautiful, and people couldn't stop complimenting me all night. The attention to detail and how carefully everything was blended really stood out. You can tell the team there loves what they do. I left feeling confident and happy--definitely worth it. I'll be back for my next special occasion for sure! read more

I had a really bad experience at this Sephora location. The same employee who "helped" me was also the one who rang me up, and her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional the entire time. When she asked if I had a Sephora account and looked at the screen, she looked back at me and said "oh, it's you?" in a very strange and judgmental way. I don't know her, there was no context for that comment, and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Sephora is supposed to be a welcoming and inclusive environment, and this interaction was the opposite. I left feeling confused and upset. Customer service like this is unacceptable. read more

The woman working at the door greeting people was very kind and welcoming. However, the woman I spoke to to ask about a product was extremely rude. She talked down to me and was very snarky. Upon leaving the mall I talked to multiple different people who added "yeah, that store is known for having b****y associates I don't go there" I felt very unwelcome in this store and they lost money I was going to spend. This location is one of the BEST Sephora locations I've been to as of late! It's so much better than the Poughkeepsie NY location which is the WORST! I got greeted from Rebecca in a friendly way, offered help, got knowledgeable assistance and was able to have a pleasant conversation without trying to blow me off. Anthony the cashier I believed was the store director ringing me up and he was not only warm and friendly but he was able to fix a slight bug with the system quickly. Also he gave me 3 package samples from high end skincare brands which I've used before and love. It's been a long time since I've gotten any package samples. When leaving I got a genuine friendly goodbye which I always appreciate. This is how a experience at Sephora should be and I encourage those in Dutchess County NY to make the drive and shop at this location instead of the one in Poughkeepsie NY! I'm I colorblind or what !. I bought this foundation and matching stick in soft Matte and Latte . I entered Sephora thinking this would be a score . I asked one of the assistants to help me find a good grade foundation and he pointed me to Fenty which no shade I like the products , but that boy did not know what he was doing . He told me about a Fenty's new foundation and I was all ears , okay pro tip when anyone wants to match the foundation to the color of the skin tone it must be done on either the hand the wrist or the neck ? Long story short he tested it on my face which all ready had foundation on it I told him this but he insisted on doing it anyway. He grab this magic wand that would predict what shade I was . He walked away and when he came back picked out soft matte and latte I told him that the easy way to find my shade was to test it on me no he decided that was to much work and trusted this machine . He explained in his "makeup professional language " that these two products are the close fit frustrated I wanted to put it down but couldn't that was the only time I had to find makeup to glam myself for a special event ! Worst policy ever.  First of all, I earned those point by SPENDING $500 at Sephora for it to only amount to $10.  And their policy is that they will not even refund the points if the item is returned? So I am supposed to be stuck with a product I don't like at all (a lipstick shade that was too bright) at a time when I couldn't even test the product in the store (due to Covid).  But the points that I earned on that order are quick to be reduced. I tried to return some items that I bought back in July and they told me I wasn't able to get any type of store credit. I thought that was wrong of them to do. The cashier was like you would of had to return this a month ago. Again I wasn't aware of the return policy but especially since your products are expensive it would have been nice to get some sort of merchandise gift card or something. I have to give this Sephora credit I don't get all the haters on here bashing this store in like smashing pumpkins but I for one am a fan. They are knowledgeable and very accomadating they are helpful anytime I need a decant or a sample of a cologne or two. The store is jammed up on saturday especially but if you give them time they are always quick to help and they seem to always have great ideas and recommendations for their newer products. I love Sephora, before I moved to CT my go to spot was the Sephora in Manhattan Vally. ( 98th and Columbus ) They we're very attentive and made sure I felt welcomed. This use to be my favorite Sephora. I would come quiet a way to shop here, but alas...the thrill is gone. It use to have the sikest selection of perfume and now it has the same crap you can buy at Macy's. This place was the place i'd tell people to go if they really wanted to find a great selection of fragrances, lotions, etc. Now...if you know what you want, order online. The place doesn't even carry half of the brands that it use to. Just celeb perfumes and the same popular crud that you can buy everywhere like Daisy by Marc Jacobs-boring. It still has good makeup, but its just disappointing to see it change into just another beauty store. read more

Sephora is great because of the variety of products they sell. You can also get a free sample of almost anything they sell. They are the only place in Danbury where I can get my smashbox tinted moisturizer. Lately though, they've been lacking in products. Usually their counters are packed with products. There are two reasons why I didn't give 5 stars. 1- I used to work at the mall when Sephora first opened so I'd visit quite often. There were 2 employees who would follow me around and loudly tell each other to watch me. It was really discouraging considering I loved shopping there and never considered shoplifting. 2-They have been out of my tinted moisturizer for two months! They claim it's the companies fault, but it's still very annoying. On a positive note-they have tons to pick from, the staff is always willing to help or give you a sample and they never give problems if you want to return something. read more

I walked around the store for 45 MINUTES and not once was I offered assistance. Each time I tried to make eye contact the employee looked away and helped a younger person. After a few minutes of this I decided to see how long it would take before I was offered help. I never was offered...I felt invisible and that I was looked upon as being too old and not "hip" enough. I have been a long term patron of this store, loyal for 10+ years. Lately they stop carrying my favorite products such as Moisture by Benefit and other items. Last night not one employee acknowledged me for 10 minutes, instead one young blond man passed me wearing a Christmas headband 3 times without even a hello not assisting anyone just gossiping with other employees. I had to interrupt someone only to find one that yet again Sephora no longer carries a product but I can order. No thank you, I will walk over to Ultra where they have everything you no longer do at cheaper prices. How unfortunate this store used to be great. read more

I love this place. The makeup is great quality (on the pricier side) and they've worked with me to find what is best for my skin and I've been able to return everything that I wasn't happy with. Definitely worth the few extra bucks. The only thing they could improve on is having employees more reachable. I loove Sephora, but I've only been in the Danbury one a few times. A little pricey, but so is all good makeup :) Every Sephora's like that anyways. One of my experiences a while ago wasn't so great...a lady with wayy too much makeup on her face (as well as a foundation much too dark for her complexion) came over to help me PICK OUT a foundation... needless to say, she got it all wrong, and I left with a big dark blotch on my cheek. I don't understand how on earth she was hired. But that was a while ago, so maybe she was fired. I'll let it slide this time. Worst customer service ever. This is why I buy online because the people in this store are useless right down the store manager. If I go, it's just to test out a color or fragrance and go right online and buy just to avoid having to deal with any of the "cast members." Just to get a question answered takes about 20 minutes and they really don't know what they're talking about. So I walked in Sephora today to see what I wanted to purchase since for my graduation I got 2 gift cards. Then this lady with blond hair (I didn't't get her name ) came up to me and asked if I needed help. I told her "no thank you I'm just looking around". So then she sees that I have the Anastasia brow wiz in my hand and she gives me her advice on a better product just like the brow wiz. Which I thought was nice of her. So I said " Thank you " so I keep asking some more questions about benefit products. Then I leave and say I'm going to keep looking but the whole time I felt like she was just on my back observing me as if I was going to steal something. So I clearly told her "I'm just looking around since I have a gift card". But I still felt her just trying too see if I'm going to grab and go. So I felt extremely uncomfortable so I place the items in my hand back to there original spots then I'm going back to where the benefit items are at and I see that there's a crowd looking at a product so I have to go around by where the doors are at then turn left, as I'm about to turn left she runs in to me as it startles me and I told her "I'm just going to return this to it's spot " and she grabs it from my hand a little rude and she says "I got it". Basically I felt like I shouldn't be treated like that and I'm upset because I was NOT going to steal anything. And I should not have been treated like that. read more

This Sephora location is A-Ok! It's a smaller store but there are lots of brands and a good selection. I can find all my necessary and needed items. This location is more of an in and out store. You may want to try a larger location to spend significant time browsing. read more

Its interesting in that most items can be tested before buying. I found it somewhat confusing when wanting some eye concealer, a sales gal in one department was trying to sell me something that was not appropriate, and I had to go to another department for the product I needed. The makeup here is beautiful and you can stand behind Sephora's customer service. However, I have to say that the staff of this store has gone downhill. There must have been 10+ older sales women there when I stopped in last week. Not only did they fail to acknowledge me or ask if i needed any help, they had attitude when I was testing a few products, labeled "tester." The only way I got any attention or service was when an older gal with glasses and dark hair leaned across my view and shut compact right in front of me. Half the point of Sephora is to be able to try the tester brands in store and I always spend a lot of money there, act respectful and with the utmost courtesy. Then, in the course of twenty minutes, as I am going to pay for my merchandise, another sales lady, in a snarky tone stated "Now, you be sure to let us know if you need help, dear, or if you are a.o.k. on your own." That was just strange. The makeup and variety of it was beautiful, and the cashier was very kind. But when she asked me if anyone helped me, I kindly told her that this was the first time visiting the store when someone had actually not and I was a bit surprised about it.
