Clean elegant layout meets the eyes, spacious and inviting. The service was impeccable, prompt and professional. The food was a delight of fresh tastes, great herbs and deliciously prepared meats. Really enjoyed this Turkish cuisine experience!

And if you're not, do yourself a favor and try this out. We decided to share the Regular Fruitrio so we can try all 3 layers along with my favorite part, the ashta! It was freshly made and super delicious. It's definitely a more guilt-free dessert (although I'm sure it's loaded with sugar) but you will leave feeling satisfied. Service was pretty slow despite not being busy at all but other than that, this is a great place to curb your sweet tooth!

Parking can be a bit busy but usually okay. The service both times has been patient and kind to explain the various options. We decided to go with a milk cake with half lotus and half Dubai chocolate. The cake is soaking in milk which gives it a "wet cake" texture. I imagine it may not be everyone's favorite texture but has decent flavor. The crunchy topping contrasts against the soft, moist cake. The lotus has that nice cookie flavor and crunch while the Dubai chocolate with pistachio offers that chocolate and nutty flavor. I prefer the latter but both are good. We also got a matcha strawberry latte to go. Both really nice to look at and to drink. The matcha has good flavor without being overly bitter while the strawberry provides that fruity sweetness to the drink. Overall, it's a pricier experience but I enjoyed it and will be back.

A recent Yelp elite event introduced me to Kanafani Sweets. I returned for its Dubai chocolate bars. Kanafani Sweets is located in a plaza on the northeast corner of Warden Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East. It's in the same plaza as the Potato Bar. I had no problem finding parking. I pulled into a parking spot in front of the store and walked in. The order pickup area was in front of me. I read the signs and the order area was a few steps deeper into the store. I had the nicest woman who cheerfully said hi. She was helpful with answering my question and offering suggestions. She showed me the qashtuta, which was milk cake. She let me know that I could either get a solid flavour, such as Biscoff, or do three different flavours, such as Biscoff, hazelnut, and Dubai chocolate. Wow! My Yelp experience consisted of having knafeh, which I absolutely love. She said that it could be made soft or crispy. I love crispy. She also let me know that I could get either pistachio or chocolate sauce on the side. I went with the former. For the drink, she shared what was popular. The iced tiramisu latte was one of them. I love tiramisu. I was down checking out an iced drink version. I got a buzzer for my order. The knafeh takes roughly ten minutes to make. I sat in a comfy chair near the order area. It was nice to relax after driving for over an hour to get here. I used the washroom. There's an individual stall for women. It was clean, cheerful, and pleasant. I used it again just before I left to run a few errands before heading home. I watched the buzzer light up. I headed to the pickup area. The nice woman had my order ready. She let me know that I got a brownie bite on the house. It was so generous! I thanked her and headed to my table to chow down. The iced tiramisu latte was exceptional. I got a lady finger that I could dip into my drink. The espresso was a good strength with the cocoa. It had milk. You can substitute the espresso for decaf, and the milk for a dairy-free or lactose-free substitute. I didn't bother. It was nicely iced and a good size to wash down everything that I ate. I loved the complimentary brownie bite. The brownie core was delicious. The crispy exterior provided a nice contrast. It was enjoyable to devour! I loved the knafeh. It already had syrup on it. I got syrup on the side, as well as pistachio sauce. I poured the pistachio sauce over the knafeh. So good! The knafeh had cheese inside. It was stretchy and hot. Over time, the cheese lost its stretchy factor as it cooled. It was yummy with the right balance of crispiness and chopped pistachios with the pistachio sauce. The syrup made the knafeh slightly sweet. The sweetness was perfect for my liking. The knafeh was excellent. I have been trying to find a decent place that makes Dubai chocolate bars. Before visiting this store, most places made their bars on their own, but they were too soft. It was as if I looked at the bar and it melted on its own out of fear. I bought a bar of Dubai chocolate Lotus to enjoy. I paid with a credit card and included a tip because staff are so helpful and friendly. This bar was excellent. The crispy filling had Lotus cookie spread in it. The milk chocolate held everything together. I was impressed. I will be back to get the regular bar next. It's such a gem of a Palestinian dessert place. I'll be back. (439)

We decided to get 2 items for an event. 1) Tiramisu - perfectly balanced in flavor and sweetness. The sweet cream with cake layers, the chocolate and coffee flavors working together, a delicious moist treat. 5/5. Definitely a must try if you've never had it. 2) Thai tea tiramisu - this had good Thai tea flavor but I felt it was a bit one note in comparison to the classic tiramisu. Still good but hard to beat the original. 4/5. Price is about 20$ each and they're not huge but really tasty. Definitely a crowd pleaser for gatherings.

It had all tiramisu varieties discounted by $5. Yes! What tiramisu flavour should I get? I had a tough time deciding. Classic, Thai milk tea, or earl grey? I went with Thai milk tea. This place also has gelato bars. I was curious and got a white chocolate raspberry gelato bar. I drove down to pick up my order. Nonna Lia is a part of Bontea. I was so excited to get my goodies that I didn't even bother getting bubble tea. Next time! Bontea is a couple of doors down from LaMochi Donuts. I had no problem parking in front of Bontea and heading inside. A woman greeted me. I let her know that I had an Uber Eats order. She fetched it from the fridge and handed me a nicely branded paper bag. I thanked her, wished her a great evening, and headed to my car. I immediately had the white chocolate raspberry bar. It was excellent! If you love raspberry gelato or anything raspberry, this bar is for you. The white chocolate was subtle. This bar wasn't sweet. I still dream about the bar. I need another one! The following day, I brought the Thai milk tea tiramisu to share with a friend at work. It has more mascarpone than lady fingers. It's like a decadent mousse with bonus lady fingers. We both loved how it tasted like having Thai milk tea, but in dessert form. It was light, yummy, and full of flavour. The lady fingers were perfect. Each container of tiramisu runs between $22 and $25. It's on the pricy side, but it is worth treating yourself here and there. This place is grab-and-go for both desserts and bubble tea. There aren't any seats to sit down and enjoy your treats. I'll definitely head back for more tiramisu and gelato bars. It took a while for me to finally give this place a try. I'm so glad that I did at long last. (463)

There will never for indoor or outdoor dining at this restaurant. It can also be called a ghost kitchen. We started experiencing Adobar in Sep 2020 by having their savory food: Smokey Porc Adobar Meal ($12) and Spicy Chicken Adobar Meal ($12). If you are picking up, you must order ahead online and contact them when you arrive and someone will come to the entrance with your order. Adobar is located on Dundas St East, east of Jarvis. They have also made cake jars (a cake in a Mason jar) for $10 each, in various flavours. They cakes are quite thick and require a strong spoon to scope it out. They have made flavours such as: Tsoko Mousse Cake (from their famous 22-layer Tsoko Cake), Ube Coconut Cake, White Rabbit Cake, Dulce de Leche with Cheese Foam Cake, and White Chocolate Matcha Cake. Some of them are available as weekly specials only. Sometimes they with collaborate with other restaurants.  For example, in Apr 2021, they collaborated with Ulamkits' Panaderia to provide combine their bao (cheesy and sweet ensaymada), stuffed with Adobar's own smoky pork garnished with pork floss, scallions and spicy sauce. This combination was called AdoBao. It came as a kit where you have to broil it in an oven for a few minutes. For Mother's Day 2021, they collaborated with Tito Parley's Silvanas (frozen cookies with cashew-meringue wafers filled with cream). Adobar put their decadent chocolate between the wafers and wrote "Thank You" on the top wafer along with edible 23k gold leaf. You can eat it frozen or thawed. 2021-062 You can also find me on Instagram @chuan_chee. Thanks.
