Clean elegant layout meets the eyes, spacious and inviting. The service was impeccable, prompt and professional. The food was a delight of fresh tastes, great herbs and deliciously prepared meats. Really enjoyed this Turkish cuisine experience!

Great place for Turkish food…read more We came here in a weekday morning for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by just how much food was available. We were all provided with complimentary bread and tea, and ordered the mix kebab platter for two, and the authentic Turkish village breakfast platter for two. The meal was phenomenal, and the spread was generous. The breakfast included an assortment of different sides & dips such as, olives, cheese, salads, butter, honey, jams, tahini, etc. we dipped it with the pide, bread, fries, roll borek. It even had a lovely sujuk with eggs. The mix kebab had lamb, chicken, wings, meatballs, doner, with rice, bread and salad. We had to grab some take out boxes at the end, as the meal was wonderfully filling.

This is a meal that I've been thinking about since last night... but not really in an ideal way…read more Yes, it was good, but mainly because of how shockingly expensive it was. I'm conflicted because the food and service were great so I can't be complain about any of that. I came with 2 friends and we wanted a variety so we settled on the mix grill platter. The menu options only offer a 2 and 4 person platter, but our server told us they could make one geared for 3 people so we decided to go with that. It came with a salad and fresh bread to share. The meats were tender and juicy. Everything was really flavourful. I enjoyed the food. The server was also really helpful with answering any questions we had. But the bill came and I was shocked. It came out to $59.99 per person after tax and tip to split the platter 3 ways. Quality was pretty decent but the portioning of it does not justify the price. Next time if I were to return, I'd probably just get my own dish... the platters present that "wow" favour but they're pricey. I get that there's quite a bit of protein but there are other things I'd rather get for that hefty price tag. I don't think it would be fair to leave a lower rating solely due to the value aspect because the food was yummy and all other factors such as environment and service were satisfactory... but for me the value weighs heavy in my priorities and I feel the cost of the platter is too high, as good as it is.

We were a group of four, and they gave us a but table which was nice (I think the restaurant sitting area itself is quite spacious) My favourite of the day was Beet & Blue Cheese Salad, Beyti Kebab, and Kunafe. And my friend's really enjoyed Kuzu Lokum (lamb on the bread in the picture) and the beef on baba ghanoush. I guess it depends on personal taste. The portions are generous and good to share. I want to try their mixed grill patter and spinach pide next time. There's free parking area too!

Some circular sofas were a bit worn though, like they were used at another restaurant and then moved here. They also serve the traditional Turkish breakfast spread too for $37.99 per person, which seems fancy. We ordered the platter for two, which could honestly feed four people. The meat tasted authentic, by which I mean it was simply grilled with little seasoning, no unnecessary sauces. The kebabs were juicy and flavourful too - you could taste the lamb fat that added some richness. Service was okay, not quite attentive but sufficient. The staff just walked away when we tried to stop them for bill, which was surprising. They offer complementary team after the meal, which was thoughtful. Overall it's a nice dining experience if you fancy some Mediterranean glam. I loved everything except the milk tea - I wasn't quite expecting it to be so salty. The manta were dumplings with flavourful lamb and onion filling. The dapanji was chicken and potatoes in a stew with chewy hand pulled noodles. I really enjoyed the texture of the noodles! The polo was a buttery lamb and carrot rice that came with sides of yogurt and chopped vegetables. The nan kawap was very flavourful cumin stir fried beef with onions and naan. I'd never had bread added to stir fry before and it went great! Everything came out quickly and the servers were friendly. It's a smaller restaurant so may be a good idea to call ahead on weekend evenings.

I was a bit unsure at first since Uyghur cuisine isn't something you see every day around here, but everything was incredibly well balanced and approachable. The aroma, texture, and quality of the noodles were just outstanding. We shared the Lamb Kawap (lamb skewer with Uyghur seasoning), Kidney Kawap, and Uyghur Chicken. The skewers were absolutely mesmerizing. None of that strong lamb smell you'd find at many other places, just a clean, fragrant flavor with a softer finish. Perfectly grilled too. It was my first time trying kidney skewers, and the texture really surprised me--chewy, meaty, but not heavy at all, and with no trace of that distinct lamb scent. The Uyghur Chicken was another highlight. Well-seasoned, rich in flavor but not overly spicy, and the chicken was tender through and through. Having it with their hand-pulled noodles made the whole experience even better. The sauce was so good I kept dipping the bread into it nonstop. Honestly, this place hits all the right notes. Great flavors, comforting atmosphere, and real craftsmanship in every dish. Definitely coming back soon.
