Had a great meal here last night celebrating my graduation. We sat in the little back room to accommodate our guests. There were two servers constantly checking on us. We started with warm fresh hot fluffy pita breads. Complementary spicy dip, crudités, pickles and olives. We ordered the salad sampler with nine different salads. Each one of them was fresh and flavorful. They included humus with tahini, baba ghanouj, spicy fried eggplant, tabouli, beet salad, potato salad, guacamole, tiny chopped Israeli salad, and some others. These were quite filling but I had heard such great things about their grilled foods. I ordered the prime rib steak. It was cooked perfectly. Every single bite was absolutely deliciousness. It came with two sideSo I ordered Israeli salad and Majeidera (rice with sautéed onions and lentils). Both of those were delicious too. My brother had the mixed Grill appetizer which was turkey/chicken, sautéed onions and mushrooms. My sister-in-law had the baby chicken skewer which she enjoyed. My nieces had chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes, french fries. I nephews had the prime rib eye steak which they devoured as well. Everything we ordered was absolutely fresh and delicious. Prices are on the high side but worthwhile because the food is absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.

    The receipt.

I have been here a lot and always rave about it. Had a bad experience one time but could look past it. This was my first time ordering in - they left off a side dish and gave no pita with the hummus. The portions seem much smaller as well. $84 for this....

This is their $21 dollar burger! Four ounces of dry pathetic patty. This is what you get at Mabat. Hamburger

Mabat has been consistent for over 20 years. They are a staple to South Brooklyns kosher meat lovers. You are guaranteed a great meal every time. This Israeli steak house serves up fresh and delicious pita, pickles, salads, dips and meat dishes. The avocado salad is a must get to start your meal. The sinaya is a must try as well. It is a mixed grill of different meats ; beef lamb turkey chicken seasoned and cooked perfectly on top of delicious hummus. The lamb riblets are also a fan favorite. They have great baby chicken and other kibabs. But my favorite is their rib eye steak. It's like butter!

Food: Smash burger are great, they are not the best but I would rank it as top 5 in the city. I was pretty surprised how they charge for cheese (the place is mostly Kosher, and the Cheese of I remember is vegan) which contradict the concept of smash burgers. The fries were overly cooked if not almost burned, so I couldnt eat half of the basket. Service: ordering regular fries and getting trufle fries just to charge me extra is not a nice move. But having those popcorn and water cup made up for it little bit. If I knew I would be charged that much (burger + fries) I would have chosen from the lunch special menu

Wanted to like this place more but it missed the mark. This is really a 3.5 star review…read more I went on a weekday around 12:30 and it was completely empty. I was told to take a menu from the counter and that I could have a seat. Tried to order a mint lemonade but they didn't have any mint. OK so I ordered a strawberry basil iced tea, which was refreshing, but didn't really have much flavor in my opinion. When I looked at the menu, they had a lot of different burger options but I settled for a Smashburger that was shown on a summer menu. However, I then watched the waiter offer two groups who came after me a lunch special menu that was not offered or mentioned to me. Had I known there were lunch specials, I would've checked them out to see if I wanted to order. So I was a little upset that these were offered to everyone except me. In terms of the actual burger, I found the patties to be way too thin, even for a smash burger. To me it left the burger, feeling kind of skimp and not fulfilling at all. I also ordered fries which were honestly the star of the show. Lastly, I didn't feel like the service was up to par. There was a large table in front of a door and the waiter kept yelling to people to not sit at the table because he needed to access the door. My question is, why place a table in a spot that you know you need to be able to go in and out of? And then on top of that when he gave me the bill, it said one price, however, after I paid and a receipt was brought to me to sign it, had a different price. What I think happened is he did not add the drink the first time and I didn't notice, but I feel like when this happened you should just say to the customer that you forgot to add something and here's a new receipt. There was also an automatic 15% gratuity, which I wasn't fond of. I spent $40 for a lunch that I barely liked. Way too overpriced and not worth the visit imo.
