Love the food, but their prices went a little crazy. The prices have literally more than doubled from the prices that you see on the menu on yelp, even. The food isn't worth that much. I get prices went up but more than double what they used to be, I don't think so. read more

Had a great meal here last night celebrating my graduation. We sat in the little back room to accommodate our guests. There were two servers constantly checking on us. We started with warm fresh hot fluffy pita breads. Complementary spicy dip, crudités, pickles and olives. We ordered the salad sampler with nine different salads. Each one of them was fresh and flavorful. They included humus with tahini, baba ghanouj, spicy fried eggplant, tabouli, beet salad, potato salad, guacamole, tiny chopped Israeli salad, and some others. These were quite filling but I had heard such great things about their grilled foods. I ordered the prime rib steak. It was cooked perfectly. Every single bite was absolutely deliciousness. It came with two sideSo I ordered Israeli salad and Majeidera (rice with sautéed onions and lentils). Both of those were delicious too. My brother had the mixed Grill appetizer which was turkey/chicken, sautéed onions and mushrooms. My sister-in-law had the baby chicken skewer which she enjoyed. My nieces had chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes, french fries. I nephews had the prime rib eye steak which they devoured as well. Everything we ordered was absolutely fresh and delicious. Prices are on the high side but worthwhile because the food is absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back. read more

I have been here a lot and always rave about it. Had a bad experience one time but could look past it. This was my first time ordering in - they left off a side dish and gave no pita with the hummus. The portions seem much smaller as well. $84 for this.... read more

So, we were there for a date, it was a packed house which wasn't so bad because the place still had a great energy with an othenthic feeling. But, even tho the eviroment was nice there were some issues Food menue was a bit pricey, we ended up paying close to $100 dollar and we didn't order the most expansive items on the manue or any alcohol. After seeing the price we were expecting for a really great food & service but the waitresses were busy and confused, we had to remind them a few times what we ordered. After 40 min + reminder we got our food wich was a little bit dry, and not worth the price that we paid. I guess we will try again because there is not that many othentic israeli steackhouses in the area. Hopfully having a better experience next time.... read more

The place has 1 waitress. Terrible service. Chicken Kebab got 5 very Small dry tasteless cubes and over saturated salad. overpriced. Understaffed aNX average food at best. Will never go again. read more

Food was great service was decent. When we received the bill there were about 5/6 items on the bill that we did not order , plus everything els that we did order ( 150 dollars extra) when confronted about it the waitress agreed and took it off the bill. Then as we were all signing are credit card receipts the waitress says " just so u know tip is NOT included!" When it clearly stated on the bill that it was included!!! When we showed it to her she's ok forget it , gave us a dirty look and walked away. In total shock ! This waitress / restaurant tried to rip us off twice in one night !!!! read more

Do not eat at this place . They set there prices according to how much money they think your worth . There taking advantage of the fact that everyone is getting sick and there ultra nasty , especially the cook . Do your self a favor and stay away from this place ....everyone who works there is rude and the food isn't really worth it !! read more

Mabat has been consistent for over 20 years. They are a staple to South Brooklyns kosher meat lovers. You are guaranteed a great meal every time. This Israeli steak house serves up fresh and delicious pita, pickles, salads, dips and meat dishes. The avocado salad is a must get to start your meal. The sinaya is a must try as well. It is a mixed grill of different meats ; beef lamb turkey chicken seasoned and cooked perfectly on top of delicious hummus. The lamb riblets are also a fan favorite. They have great baby chicken and other kibabs. But my favorite is their rib eye steak. It's like butter! read more

What restaurant doesn't have menus? Not even a sample one??? Came here for a company lunch Christmas Eve, we were seated immediately and given no menus because supposedly they were lowering prices, lies, my co-worker told me she goes there all the time and they never have menus, they just give different excuses each time. So yea the waitress had to tell us the entire menu, mind you she basically whispered it to us, I probably yelled out "Can you repeat that last part again?" about 10 times. Nothing amazing about this place, it's a very tiny tiny place, it barely held my company which was only 10 of us that showed up. It wasn't busy at all it was just us. The service was horrible, not attentive and a little slow at times. Another downside uhhh they didn't serve any type of alcohol. Geez. Our boss ordered 16 different kind of salads, yep 16 I didn't know there were so many chocies, so those were our appetizers, oh and how could I forget the bread, Oh my it was delicious. So everyone basically ordered steak, maybe that's why it took about 45 minutes to get our entree. When we finally got our steaks, we literally inhaled it because we were really really hungry, salads can only hold me down for about 5 minutes tops. LOL. so I gave this place two stars, one for the delicious bread and another one for the decent steak. That is all. As far as Kosher goes, I'm still a Prime Grill fan; steaks are better, they serve sushi too and oh yea ALCOHOL! :P read more

Their hummus and the pita bread is probably one of thd best that I have ever tried how ever the meat was abit dry but still ok. They will not let you deceid how much tip you want to leave they will include it at your bill. The service wasnt really good if to be honest. read more

Love this place! I come here all the time with coworkers for work lunches and dinners. A little bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. The chef Jesse will not let you leave without being satisfied. When I'm there, I usually go for the Rib Eye but when they have it, I always choose the brisket or the Butterfly Steak. Mouthwatering! read more

The reason why I am giving this place only 2 stars out of 5 is for the following: Cons: -Tiny space, absolutely no room to move -Extremely loud to the point where you can't hear yourself -Because of the tiny space, it's extremely crowded and you have to wait a while for a seat. I definitely do not recommend coming here on a Sunday night- their busiest night. -Everything is a mess and the decor is sub-par -The bathroom is a tiny tiny hole and the faucet water doesn't even run -Waiters always seem to be in a rush and trying to do a million things at once (which they do really well under so much pressure) Pros -Amazing amazing food. So fresh and great quality -The best baby chicken I have ever had, hands down -Their chummus is to DIE for. Homemade and so fresh, you can taste the quality. -Their bread is freshly baked and comes to the table nice and hot, and keeps coming. Never an empty bread basket. -The hostess was very nice and I honestly don't know how she can handle a bunch of angry Israelis all the time -Service was amazing. They were constantly making sure you had everything you needed -There were issues with getting a table of four and there was a misunderstanding. To make up for it, the very nice hostess gave us each a glass of wine on the house If I were to ever come back, it would be for delivery. I don't live in the area, so delivery is unnecessary for me. Judge at your own discretion. Amazing food, horrible atmosphere. read more

First of all the service was great and welcoming As soon as we entered the door they arranged the table for us and give us the menu card to choose from the way they took care of us was wonderful and the food forget about it it was fresh and delicious cooked just right the pita bread oh my gosh the steak out of this world delicious succulent and all of the salads so well-made from fresh vegetables all the food looked so great we had to order a wine Cabernet Sauvignon and it was just the right temperature yes the place is not too big it's so homey I am giving them ten stars * * * * * * * * * * read more

the reason mabat has no menus is because they will cook you almost anything you can think of as long as it is israeli fare (they now have menus as of my last visit) yes- kosher food lacks in service and quality but mabat "steakiat" serves up fine tasting israeli style home cooking read more

Exceptional experience. Their steaks taste like 70 dollar steaks however are so much cheaper in price;)

Great food, great service, reasonable price Evening one can ask for, very nice people run this joint, it's a real pleasure

The food was great and very home style cooking. One draw back I had, was seeing one of the waitresses (indian or spanish looking - she has dark features) go to the bathroom and not wash her hands, she went straight to the kitchen. I saw the same waitress go to the bathroom again about 45 minutes later and she washed quickly with water but no soap this time. I would personally fire employees like that who have no personal hygiene understanding and putting my food/health at risk. Luckily, I was served by another waitress the whole time. I am not going back to this place for that reason, otherwise the price and the menu were very reasonable. read more

Great place for fine dining. Awesome service and the price is very reasonable. My family always loves to come here for a nice meal.

Great food, good service, pleasant place. We ate here on a week night. We were seated right away and served promptly. We opted for the lamb shish kebob, and the chicken shish kebob, 2 skewers and two side dishes. The food was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. There is an option for 1 skewer and1 side, for people with smaller appetites. There were other couples there, as well as two large, well-behaved family groups. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. We will definitely eat here again. read more

This place really does have the best Israeli food in ny. A bit tight on space but the food makes up for that
