Very honest with no upselling and very, very good pricing. Details: I'm an engineer, I know good mechanical work from bad mechanical work. The previous independent shop I've been going to for years has started lying to me about necessary repairs and charging mind-boggling high prices. They charged me $375 for false diagnostics and gave me an estimate for $2000 of unneccesary repairs. They also tried to delay warranty work in order to run out the time remaining on my NAPA warranty. I called Brakes and More who gladly honored the NAPA warranty. Brakes and More was significantly cheaper on labor. All work was done properly and professionally. Brakes and More did no upselling. They were completely honest. They did the work exactly as I requested with no additional costs. Turn-around time was same-day fast. Brakes and More doesn't have a fancy building or customer lounge. They have honest management with integrity and turn out high quality professional work at very, very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend Brakes and More.

Fine mechanics took the chance to stick it to somebody that had no idea what they had giving them a very confusing expensive option, then started trying to charge him 50 bucks a day storage after what they knew would happen not being able to pay the repair bills or the storage fees they gladly took the car resulting in the kid having a sign over the title. Henry, who must be the proprietor despite the name of the shop, is an old-school grease monkey who is plain-spoken and quick with a quip. He and his crew are thorough, polite and efficient. Here is the caveat: you are paying a premium for the service and "staying local," as the term is used. In other words, an oil change may cost a bit more at Sol's that. A Quick-Lube chain shop. That premium becomes pro rata higher as the repair becomes more expensive. I believe in supporting local business, and I am very loyal to Sol's, but the last time I went in and learned the a/c compressor needed replacement on my Lincoln, it would have been between $600-$1,000 more at Sol's than other shops nearby. (Sol's was $2,250; I found competitors charging anywhere from $1,350-$1,750.)

When I arrived at 9, my car was immediately looked brought in to be looked at. I was taken out to see what the problem was and while I was waiting another customer was also shown what was wrong with her car. Other places I have had to ask to do that since I worry that some might try to take advantage of a person with boobs and long hair. I am usually the worst nightmare for those places since I am a woman who knows how to work on cars. Helped change 4 engines by age 18 and can fix my own brakes. But always enjoy letting someone else to do that since back and knees are well over 50. They were able to get the parts and repair the car for less than the price of the parts on the GM parts website. The waiting room has comfortable padded chairs, coffee, cold water, and even some rolls. Since the parts had to be delivered, I had a couple hours wait. Being widowed with my best friends working on Saturday, I just walked to neighborhood stores and a place to eat. My car waited on the lift instead of being taken to the lot to wait. It was fixed quickly once the parts came. I was able to see the old parts and the new parts on my car. Could have even taken the parts home if wanted ( maybe to make steampunk garden art if I still had a house). Wasn't pushed to buy anything else. It is great to find an honest shop with fair prices. Throw in good service, it might get my business instead of the dealer. My car is 18 years old and I have had it 15 years. Good service will allow cars to last that long. Will be back if I need to have my car fixed.

The first time I went in on a Saturday, I explained the issue to Phil and was basically told there was not much they could do because they only had one technician working. And he made it a point to say they need to give techs at least one day off as if I had said otherwise. The interaction came across as dismissive and impatient, as if I should already know exactly what the issue was myself. He mentioned it was raining as a reason they wouldn't be able to duplicate the sound. A couple of weeks later, which was Thursday May 13,2026 I brought the vehicle back on a weekday and showed Phil a video recording of the noise from outside the vehicle. I dropped my car off around 6 PM and they kept it overnight, only to call me 8:30 the next morning and tell me they could not hear the squealing. Then they told me the noise was supposedly coming from the lift gate. That explanation made absolutely no sense. My lift gate does make a very small noise occasionally, but it is not the loud squealing sound I was describing. The squealing happens specifically when I accelerate, and it is so loud that people walking or driving near me turn and look. My vehicle literally sounds like a squealing city bus when it happens, and it is still doing it to this day. I even explained that the video was recorded from outside the vehicle, so suggesting that a small lift gate noise was somehow being picked up that loudly from outside was frustrating and unrealistic. If Bell Tire only handles certain types of issues, I would have appreciated honesty from the beginning instead of having my vehicle kept overnight just to be told it was a lift gate. Unfortunately, this was not my first frustrating experience there. During a previous visit, I was told I needed brakes even though I had already gotten brakes so I asked when was the last time I had my brakes done by Belle Tire When I questioned it, they acted as if I must have gone somewhere else because they could not find the service in the system. It turned out the VIN number had been entered incorrectly by Phil so my brake service was attached to a different vin number not my actual number The same thing also happened with a tire repair. Again, I was treated like I was mistaken until I kept insisting otherwise. The one person who actually took the time to listen and help was Damani. He was professional, patient, and able to figure out what had happened with the VIN issue. I genuinely appreciated his help. Overall, the biggest problem I experienced here was not feeling listened to. I came in clearly explaining an ongoing issue with my vehicle, and instead of being taken seriously, I felt dismissed multiple times.

I was already working with Scott at Michigan Sandblasting and planned to have my Jeep's underbody sandblasted there. Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.
