We spent our holiday in Paris
As Americans, we felt warmly welcomed.
We frequented all of the shops on Rue Poncelet
The morning of our departure we were sadly disappointed by this shop. We were essentially refused service by the shopkeepers here. The two ladies working ignored us for a few minutes, working as to be understood. Finally the younger lady, visibly frustrated, began to take our order. She snapped at us for not speaking in french.
We politely left. My thoughts, if you despise American tourists, fair. I would NEVER treat another human being unfairly or rudely like this lady did to our family. If she comes to America, we will be nice and welcoming.
Same as most Parisians. If you are an American tourist reading this, skip this shop! Others on the block are kind and very tasty! read more
