Cooper Farms is the best place to stop by after a long drive! It is a fun spot that isn't busy like…read moreother gas's stations. The store feels like walking into a family reunion with all the homemade goods that grandma brings and wine with relatives. Overall, the store felt warm. Cooper Farms had samples of their fruit wine, jams, and salsa out for those who were intrigued by the interesting flavors, like the peach salsa. My friend tried out the white peach wine and said the wine went down smoothly and had a delicious taste that could be dangerous if you are not counting how many glasses you are having. We ended up buying 3 bottles of wine ($22 but buy 2 or more get them for $20 each), a peach ice cream, and a peach milkshake for the road. Cooper Farms had stands of baked goods like pumpkin pie, pecan pie, peach cobbler, and so much more. The store opens up to multiple tables of snacks when you walk in and a jam/ salsa wall on your right. Food Review: Peach Ice Cream (5/5) I would recommend this to anyone who walks through the doors. I was expecting a sorbet peach but was surprised to taste cinnamon and a nutty flavor in my ice cream. The small portion was enough to keep me full for the rest of our roadtrip back to Houston. Peach Milkshake (5/5) The peach milkshake are for the drivers who can't active scoop and eat ice cream. The milkshake was just a blended version of the ice cream. It was a perfect to-go drink if you wanted to try their ice cream but need to focus on the road. Overall, I would love to come back here with family and have them try the ice cream. Next time, I would like to try out their baked goods. 10/10 would recommend!

What a cool little gas station!! I kept seeing ads on the way back home to houston from Dallas and…read moreby the third sign we decided we needed to make a stop and try their peach ice cream. Absolutely delicious ice cream for $4? I couldn't be happier. Also decided to grab some other goodies. They had so many soda options. I bought the peach mango salsa because they had some free samples and goodness was it tasty that I had to bring some home for myself! For $7.99 I think that's pretty reasonable. When picking out the fried pie, staff was really nice and helped me picked a pie and she recommended that I microwave the pie to make it a little warm, but it is ready to eat as is. She says she leaves it in her fridge and eats a piece day by day for up to a week! I like eating something a little sweet everyday so I'm going to take her up on that advice for sure cause I know I can't eat that whole pie in one sitting. Haven't tried the other stuff but I look forward to it. Might stop by here again on my Dallas to houston journeys !

Bottom Line: Fudge bacon brownie had serious heft, but came…read moreup short on namesake flavors or integrity/structure. Top Line: Picked up a Blue Horse fudge bacon brownie $6 at Brendyn's BBQ yesterday along with a meal, saving the brownie as a treat for today. So returned to Brendyn's this afternoon to get tea for eating the brownie. Brownie is seriously heavy!! Very, very moist beneath the layer of baby chocolate chips and extraordinarily tender of crumb. Too much so I found. The block of chocolate cake-like brownie crumbled into pieces as I tried to pick it up. I finally resorted to pinching off small wads of it to pop into my mouth. While being very moist with oil density, the flavor profile was about on par with a supermarket bakery brownie. Plenty of chocolate taste, but minimal (if any) bacon smokiness shining through. Fudge's buttery brown sugar sweetness or cream's richness were likewise AWOL. So I'd say this was a decent $2.50 brownie. But nowhere near justifying the $6 ticket price I paid to get it, in spite of its moistness. If I'm in the neighborhood of Blue Horse's sticks 'n bricks location I may hit them up for a cupcake or some such to see how that flies. But no more brownies from them for me.

So four years later (2021 summer), my review remains the same. I actually placed an order for a…read morecake, it looked very nice however it was really dry. I'm not sure why they made it so tall either, is that an "IN" thing? It was hard to cut and honestly didn't even fit a dessert plate LOL. I dunno maybe there's a way to cut that style. My request was last mintute but I don't really thing it would've been a big deal anyway because they had duplicates already on the table. It was okay, I wouldn't order it again though TBH. It's a cute bakery but there needs to be a few improvements on taste/texture. The coffee isn't that great either but there's not really a lot of options around. I know the next day after the Festival there was a coffee truck on the main square and that was GOOD! I can't remember the name of it but if there's a coffee truck in that area, they serve some BAD AS coffee!

I am all about supporting small businesses. Well not really sure where to start for this place…read more.. I stopped in to grab a coffee as I was running around town. Walked in and the place doesn't look like it was cleaned from the previous business day or maybe longer. There was random food in the food cases that looked sketchy. The coffee/espresso machine looked dirty along with the rest of the kitchen area. There are tables and furniture all over the place. Books and games shoved in places and then random silverware out. Look I am all about having a comfy place to stop and have coffee. But this place really needs to stop and re-evaluate what is going on here with everything. I ordered a caramel macchiato and could only get the small. The guy making the drinks said after so many the machine over heats so could only do the small. It was not good, not sure what was missing but the flavor was terrible. I would not go back to this place in the state that it is today. If I was looking for a coffee place (non-chain) I'll head to Winnsboro or Quitman for the two coffee places available in both of those cities. Good luck to this business I hope for their sake they get it together and last.
