Me and the boyfriend went here for a couples massage. It was going great. Staff is friendly. My boyfriend is a muscular man. The woman doing his massage says "oh you have big muscles. You are very tight" I didn't think anything at first. But then during the hour long Swedish massage she says two more times "you have big muscles" my bf says he felt uncomfortable. And hearing such a comment more than once becomes disrespectful. They kept pushing for deep tissue massage for the extra $30 charge. And since it was a Groupon deal there is a sign saying tips should range from $10-$20. As soon as you get the register they put out envelopes for tips to be added right away. read more

This place is now called Jennifer Day Spa. I'm new to the area, so I checked out Groupon (which is what I usually do until I find my new go-to). The reviews of the place are not great, but it's walking distance from my new apartment so I took the risk. The most common review is how they keep upselling. The Groupon was for a Swedish Massage. As soon as I got there, they asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a Deep Tissue massage. I declined. While being massaged, I was asked again. I declined. Throughout the massage, she kept telling me she was giving me a Deep Tissue massage (which I didn't ask for). She kept pointing out the difference by stroking me harder and saying THAT was Deep Tissue, then stroking me lighter and saying THAT was Swedish. What a turn off. When I was done, they charged me tax (just a few bucks) after I had given all my cash as a tip, so we spent a bit of time charging less than $5 for "tax" on my credit card. They also tried selling me a "discounted" Deep Tissue massage for my next visit. I declined, and they didn't look pleased by that. Never again. read more

I've been looking for a great spa for a while now and decided to give this place a chance. I called the night before to make the appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and let me know ahead of time the 4 dollar tax that wasn't included with the Groupon. I showed up 10 minutes early and they saw me right away. I bought the aromatherapy massage and facial package and everything was lovely. My masseuse ( I believe her name was Nina) was wonderful, she was so attentive, professional, sweet, and skilled. I was not pressured into buying any products and they even offered me fresh cucumber water after everything was over. I found M Beauty Day Spa through Groupon and they advertise such great deals on there! Ive been here so many times and I will be coming back for more. Call ahead to set up an appointment - be prepared to wait a few days. Before your massage they let you choose an essential oil scent for the duration of your visit. My boyfriend and I came in for a 2 hour couples facial and massage and it was such a blissful experience. After your facial they will recommend to you what your skin is lacking. They are a bit pushy with sales and packages, just so youre aware. After the service they offer you infused water and sweets. They also sell GM Collins which is a phenomenal skin care brand that you can only get through spas and its one of my favorite brands so im so happy that they carry it! read more

It's with a heavy heart that I have to give this place a bad review. I'm not sure what exactly happened but I used to go here pre-covid every few months and they used to do an amazing job when it came to facials. But last weekend I went for a facial and I am highly disappointed. I'm not sure if they have a new owner or what the situation is, but it was a horrible experience. The girl that did my facial did not know what she was doing. She didn't know that you had to plug in the facial steamer in order for it to work then shortly after it heated up the hot water started to overflow steaming hot on my arm. I mainly went there to get my pores cleaned out because they usually do a great job but after getting home I realized that my pores were NOT cleaned. And now I have to go to another spa when I just paid to have a facial done. Usually they take their time but that was not the case I was in and out in less than 40 mins the lady at the front desk backlogged the time. They originally told me to come at 11 then called the morning of and told me to come in after 1015 I did not get there until well after 1030 but that's the time she put down that my facial started. Lastly, they were hounding for tips after I already tipped on the card and the girl did not believe me. She rushed my entire facial just to get to the tipping. And to add insult to injury the girl who did a terrible job kept insulting me about my skin, when I actually have very nice skin - my pores are just large in certain areas. And I spend a lot of money up keeping my skin. She kept telling me about my skin being dark and that I should lighten and get color treatment which was like 200$ when I do not have discolored skin....I am naturally brown skinned person. The worst part was that I woke up with a massive pimple on my forehead the next morning. I haven't gotten a pimple since high school. That was not there or no where in sight before going. I highly do not recommend. Save your money and your skin. read more

I bought a massage from Groupon and enjoyed it enough to buy a 5-pack of massage or facials on the way out. Went back for a facial and fell in love. Everyone should try a professional facial and includes a light neck/shoulder massage. Especially loved my facial by Michelle. I have really sensitive skin prone to breaking out but no problems after my facial. The extended hours make it easy to schedule after work or on weekends, even same day on Sundays. On my last one now and will be buying another 5 pack. read more

I got a Groupon for a couples massage and facial. I called to make an appointment about a week in advanced, which they confirmed again via phone call the day before my appointment. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly, smiling face and some cucumber water. The facial was great, complete with a cooling mask at the end. The massage was equally as relaxing and amazing. This is my go to place for a good massage. I have upper body back pain and every time I get a massage here, I feel rejuvenated! I always look forward to my appointments. Weekends get booked quick so call ahead and make an appointment. Weekdays are more flexible and can usually get an appointment same day for those "emergency" or splur of a moment days lol. I came here for a facial reluctantly because I hadn't heard of this location before. But they had a great price so I went for it. The staff was very friendly and the location was clean and comfortable. I had a regular facial, no special treatments. During the facial I felt like my skin was being punctured but I didn't see so I can't confirm. I'm pretty sure I was right because it's been three days and my skin still looks terrible. I have red marks all over like a teenager with acne. I typically have clear skin although my pores do become clogged. They did a terrible job as I still have several blackheads. My face doesn't feel any better than it did before and it definitely looks worse. Honestly don't think i'll return. read more

new name is jennifer day now!! i went here for a 1 hr facial, after 20 mins they stopped & they told me i have big eye bags. they introduced me their new machine from korea. they told me my eye-bags will disappear with the machine, so i tried. btw, they forgot to finish my facial. i am very very dissatisfied and disappointed! it was so expensive $600 plus $200 tips for 10 sessions. i went every single week for my eye bag treatments. but nothing changed, my eye-bags are still the same as my first treatment to the last treatment. i wasted my money. i am so mad because i believed everything they said. read more

This spa is located in a very small strip, but easy to find and has ample parking. The services here are fantastic, I've only been here twice but I could say this has been the best spa I've been to thus far. Definitely recommend their facials! Just keep in mind that they might pressure you into buying products or spa packages before you head out the door. read more

I gave it 3 stars because my massage and facial were not too bad. However, they give you an oversized towel as a blanket and use cheap CVS products. They ask no questions on how you want the pressure of your massage to be or if you have any problem areas you want worked on. Also, there's no relaxing oils or lotions they use on you or any scent in the room. read more

This little spa is a hidden gem!! I was trying to find a last minute couples massage on Staten Island and couldn't find anything. I called M Beauty Spa in Jersey and they said they would accommodate us. When we got there the two women who were working were so sweet to us. They brought us to this room with two beds in it and started our massage. They put some peppermint oil on, then they put us under cozy towels. After about ten minutes I knew this was going to be the best massage I've ever had. These ladies knew the proper way to give a massage. They got into every crevice of our bodies. I purchased on Groupon a $69 facial and body massage. Btw not my first time using Groupon for facial/massage. After looking at different locations I figured I made the right choice with M Beauty Spa because of the high rating and reviews I read. Well I was wrong. When greeted the communication and instructions were unclear due to the language barrier. I went into the massaging room and found the only form of a blanket was a stiff tough towel that barely covers your body. I began to shiver and feel cold because the bed was located under the ac vent that was blowing cold air. Trying getting a massage being stiff because its cold. A woman suddenly began massaging me without warning or introduction. She seemed inexperienced and not certified. It was more pain then pleasure. I got a better 2 minutes massage after a pedicure. Once she finished my body massage she began touching my face without washing her hands. While my eyes covered shut I noticed that the smell of the products used on my face did not smell or feel good. Skin was burning especially by the eyes. They all smelled like Elmers glue. She never explained what she was applying I assume because of the poor English. Once she was finished she told me to get dressed because she was done. After I got dressed I inspected the products that were left in the room to learn all products used for the facial are cheap $3 Saint Helene products which you can purchase at Sallys Beauty supply store. The oil lotion used for the body massage was cvs brand vitamin E. I find it hard to believe that this place charges "Spa" prices but uses these cheap products which can be harsh on the skin. According to their price list their basic facial starts at $70. They do not use any of the products they try to sell in the front waiting room for $$$. In addition I noticed only 1 license w/photo on the wall at front desk. This means the woman that took care of me was not a certified masseuse which explains her lack of experience and poor service. I did express my disappointment in the service and the misleading/ poor products they use. They tried to compensate by offering a complimentary service of my choice which I refused.
