For example, when I first called, I was told I was the number three caller. I waited quite a while, and when my call was finally picked up, I was transferred to voicemail, which seemed strange after waiting on hold for so long. I eventually reached someone and scheduled an appointment. A couple of days before the appointment, however, I was notified that the provider would not be there and that I needed to reschedule. I wasn't given an extension or direct number for the person who called me, just the main number. When I called back, I again waited on hold and was eventually transferred to voicemail. Someone later returned my call and left a message, and the same process started over again. After a couple more cycles of missed calls, waiting on hold, and being sent to voicemail, I finally gave up and decided to find another dermatology practice. I can't comment on the quality of the medical care because I never got that far, but the communication and scheduling process made it unnecessarily difficult to become a patient.

I wouldn't say the staff is exceptionally friendly, a little bit of uppity (snooty). I returned 6 weeks later as suggested for my 2nd laser (lip) treatment. The first of 8 laser pulses was very painful, only to learn that wearing lip liner, lipstick or lip gloss can have a negative effect on the pulse. Needless to say he pain continued for the next 1-2 days and by the end of the 2nd day there were burns on my upper lip. When I returned on Day 3, they saw how badly my lip was burned, refunded me the $200 and I received communication from the owner/aesthetician apologizing, asking me to come back to get something for the burn and a complimentary treatment. Lauren mentioned that it was caused by the lip cosmetics I was wearing. So why is it not protocol that all lipwear be removed prior to laser treatment. I will not be returning to G Lab.

My concerns were not thoroughly addressed, and I was ultimately sent home with a few face wash samples, which did not resolve the reason for my appointment. Overall, the visit felt like a waste of both my time and money. After reading other recent reviews, it seems that similar concerns have been raised by other patients, which is disappointing to see.
