There are scales for you to weigh your containers, and containers available to purchase if you don't have any- such as jars, glassware, bags and stashables. They provide stickers, tapes and pens and allow you to freely refill to your heart's content. They have snacks, oils, herbs and spices, coffee, and home and cleaning products. Their fresh produce is a plus too with eggs, milk and other things provided by local vendors. There were even pickles, different varieties of mushrooms, coconut yogurt, vegan mozzarella and butter. I was so pleased to be able to refill my olive oil and white vinegar, along with grabbing some wasabi peas and popcorn snacks along with pinenuts! The staff is super friendly, and the owner Lara is naturally French and a huge advocate for sustainability and food. They are open to suggestions and feedback, and are actively looking to add more to their assortment. It's worth supporting businesses like this, and I will be proudly returning for more!

I spent a total of $95 dollars. Mostly dry pantry goods that have a long shelf life. I also pretty much only cook for one, so my haul will last me for probably the majority of the year. A lot of people see the price per pound on some items, and freak. Black peppercorns for example, are 30-ish a lb, but nobody is buying that much. I got a giant refill for seven bucks. My most expensive buy was olive oil-I refilled a giant container that came to 25 bucks. However, it's quality oil, it'll last me most of the year, and it's a giant bottle. If you ask me, the investment is one THOUSAND percent worth it. Try it. If you're concerned of about cost, you can bring small containers/Tupperware and sample a few choice things. I'm a fan. See you next time!

Brouwerij Lane is a craft beer bar and bottle shop that opened in Brooklyn, New York in March 2009…read more It was founded by Ed Raven. He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

We went inside expecting some really low quality beers for $1, however this store had high quality microbrewery cans for $1! This place looks like a beer distribution, and maybe that's why they were able to sell cans of beer for so cheap. They have such a good selection of beers, and all of them are extremely affordable. The main person selling beer was so nice that he gave us a six pack of an excellent IPA for free! The other amazing thing is that they have a bathroom you are able to use. The best bathroom is really clean as well. Overall, one of the best hole in the wall places you could hope to stumble upon while walking in New York City!!

TapRm is a garage-style shop with cases of carefully selected craft beer forming a beautiful beer wall, a few leafy green plants here and there. This is essentially a beer-to-go spot, though you may also be able to sample some beer with the two owners who are helpful, friendly, and fun to chat with. They have a nice range of local/regional beers, all with the coolest art, and after you make your selection, you can pick up a cold one in the fridge in the back. As we deliberated on which to bring home, a few cyclists rode by perhaps on the way home, picked up a few cans, and went on their way. If that doesn't make your daily commute better, I don't know what will. Maybe if they offered some snacks too. We ended up going home with a few IPAs and sours and enjoyed them immensely. Overall, a solid, friendly spot to stop by, grab some brews, and make your way to/from Williamsburg. Best discovered and experienced if you're on foot or bike.

Basically a good spot in the area that doesn't have one. But the Russian grocery products and produce are much more impressive - larger offerings, good deals, and just... it's huge! I misjudged its size from the outside as the further you go back, you'd find a large space to your left that consists of a huge assortment of deli items, herrings, aryan yogurt products, and something which I learned of recently - tarragon soda. The green liquid was at first disturbing but I was brave enough to try it and found it to actually be nurturing for the stomach - oddly. But either way, I wouldn't have learned about this if it wasn't for you - Gourmet Plaza. A note about customer service - nobody is really friendly here it seems - it's pretty cold and straight forward, with outdated POS systems and in a place where even walls and floors are needed of a good update.
