I'm honestly shocked at the low rating this Salon has! I was at the mall not anticipating I would get my nails done, but after seeing the spa and looking down at my nails, I was in need of a manicure. I wish I would have gotten the name of my tech. Manicure wise she took her time and went for precision! I did not have to ask for extra coats like some other spa's in order for the color to be solid. There was also a male tech who seemed to be very popular, he has people lining up for him! There was another tech with a regular making great conversation. My tech even saw a regular walk by and wished her happy shopping! After seeing how they treat regular's my only advice is for the techs to make conversation with every customer! I wish my nail tech would have made conversation in stead of us sitting in silence. Overall good experience! read more

Well... I don't always write reviews, but when I do, I like to write them about event venues, places, and salons that I have technically "frequented." This place in particular, I have enjoyed going to, as it is a short, brief walk from the apartment complex or the one bedroom apartment home that I used to live at. I would walk to the MacArthur Center shopping center right across from the NORVA on Monticello . Truthfully, the technicians were very attentive to the needs that I presented to include cute designs I brought to them from my IG account and relaxing massages when I had too much to worry about. I used to like to visit them before big days, like my birthday and special holidays when I would be seeing the fam. Might be back again in the future! read more

I almost didn't go here because of the reviews. My guy, Q did a great job! Friendly, and cared about pleasing me with my nails. I had to wait at 10am (when they open) but a wedding party was there for pedis and manis. If you don't wanna wait, they take appointments and they are conveniently located in the mall. I enjoyed being pampered here. Lots of options for gel manicures and pedicures here. Staff is fast, friendly and attentive. We were offered champagne, that was a plus. They also provide water or soda depending on what services you get. I felt this nail spa was clean, I like that they open up their packaged tools in front of you and clean their spa pedicure bins well. Prices were similar to other places. They have massage chairs that I love! It is located right in the mall, right at one of the entrance of floor 2. When I tried to make an appointment, they stated they don't take appointments. Well no need to rate them less than three stars because 1. The nail tech didn't cut me as she was doing my fill-in and 2. My nails are OK enough to walk out the store not upset BUT...for the price, they provided "ok" service. I arrived about 6pm and even though there were about six other patrons, there was no wait to get a fill-in or a pedicure. I opted in to get my fill first as it takes longer. It was completed in about 30 mins. I had to point out places on my nails that the tech failed to polish fully. So as I'm sitting under the nail dryer for about 15 minutes now, I thought to myself "hmmmm she must be getting my water nice and ready for me" - but time is steadily ticking... my mom speaks up and asks, "did you forget about my daughter's pedicure?" One tech answered, "she said she didn't want one" - huh...I did when? ?? The tech that filled my nails walks over after 20 mins and asks... do you want a pedicure? So ummmmm...no thanks now. Sheeeesh. It's almost 7:30pm now. Anyway. The shop is spacy and plenty of service chairs. So it seems that they will get you in/out in record time. Looks can be deceiving. I was just informed that my mom was offered: water, soda or wine while her nail tech serviced her during her pedicure. I wasn't offered anything...hmmmm not sure of the criteria there. Not an abundance of colors to choose from, but you should find something to make your nails beautifl. There's a unisex restroom inside (with a sink) and two sinks located on the outside. My nails are considered long, for a fill-in $30!! And that's with regular polish. That's a bit outrageous! But I guess I have to help pay the rent space too. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with my nails, but I'll definitely think twice before returning. Definitely came here because my nails were in serious need of TLC!! I visited this nail place while in Norfolk and will definitely be returning if I'm ever in the area again! The woman who did my nails did one of the best French manicures I've ever gotten. She was thorough and made sure I was happy with the finished result. It was $40 for the gel manicure and $5 extra for French. This is the only place my boyfriend and I go for mani pedis. For the most part they're really nice people, they offer a spa pedicure where you can get wine or champagne with it and I've never been dissatisfied with their work. The only issue I had was I misspoke and got the wrong name shape and I was VERY upset by it, but it was my fault. I misunderstood what she said. I needed to get my nails done because a fake tip had ripped off. I called and asked about pricing which seemed expensive but I was desperate so I asked to make an appointment at 4. I immediately called back and asked to change the appointment to 3. They told me that I didn't need an appointment because they had a lot of nail techs in today. So I arrived at 3 and there was nobody at the front desk. You simply had to sign in and wait. After 15 of waiting I got up and walked out as I would not have time for the manicure anymore. There was no time afterward for me to get my nails done because my day was packed, so I was stuck with cracked nails because of them. I would not recommend this place. read more

I've been here before and never had any issues. I spent maybe 2 hours there to get my dip nails redone. I guess it was just an off day? But my nails look horrible. I asked him to change it, and I'm not a complainer by any means. My anxiety never lets me do those things. But when he didn't answer me because I assume he couldn't hear me between the masks and plexiglass shield I figured that was that. I came here a couple of weeks ago with a friend to get impromptu spa pedicures. It was a nice, enjoyable experience. We came in and noticed right off the bat that it was crowded, but they immediately sat us to soak. My friend had his started first and was all the way through by the time I had mine started. He wanted to sit with me to finish mine, but with other pedicures rolling in, we was told move to the front to wait. I lingered behind and had mine done. Overall, it was very nice. I don't remember my tech's name, but she was very kind and polite with some conversation. My friend payed so I'm unsure of the price, but I think it was $80 for 2 spa pedi's. Pretty fairly priced for the area. If I'm in a pinch or happen to be at the mall and notice I need a pedi, I'd happily go there again. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO TO. $40 for a full set and my nail broke thumb nail broke in less than 24 hours and tried to charge $10 to fix it. Below is a picture of my right ring finger, my second nail that broke in less than a week (6 days to be exact). Cuticles were cut up badly and hurt. (Cutting cuticles is not even necessary and causes more harm than good). I went to tell the nail techs that my nail broke in such a short time and it was argued that "I needed to take better care of my nails" and tried to charge $14 to take them off. when I literally have not been doing anything but going to work (I work at jewelry store, no heavy lifting required) and going straight home after. read more

Im not from the area and I broke ONE nail so I ventured into M&M nail Spa to get a nail fix. It read that a nail repair was $3 &up. The nail tech was very nice and very funny I enjoyed my time sitting in her chair getting my nail fix. Although not the same color or shape the nail came out good enough. I proceed to the counter where she tells me the price is $10 to get ONE nail repaired. I'm so shocked I literally have been getting my nails down every two weeks for 5 years plus and I never had to pay so much for a repair. She then tells me for gel it had to be more and because the length it had to be more. I was appalled and still am, she told me that the lady beside her told her the price but when she seen how shocked I was, then decreased it to $8. The most I've ever paid for one nail repair has been 5dollars. This is ridiculous. I really hope she wasn't picking on me. Sad to say but i will never come back nor tell any of my colleagues to go. read more

After paying $80 for a pedi and full set (gel) I returned after 2 weeks for a fill in and was charged $45. The amount doesn't so much matter but I genuinely dislike being lied to and businesses attempting to take advantage of customers. I paid and appreciated the service but I will not be returning. I love it here! I never have to wait very long as a walk in. Great staff who take their time to make sure everything is to your liking. I come here often and I've never been dissatisfied. I will say however that I have yet to see an autoclave so I would skip any cuticle cutting unless you bring your own stuff but that might just be me being picky. My toes look good, but I was less than thrilled with the service. My mom and I wanted to go together to get a pedicure while she was visiting me in town. We were walking around the mall and decided to go to this place (after seeing the horrible reviews for Millennium in the mall). We booked it for an hour later so we could walk around for a bit first. So as soon as we sat down for our pedicure it was straight business and I felt like they wanted to get us done quickly and out of there -OK fine... but this is a $40 pedicure each. My mom and I sat next to each other but couldn't hear each other because our technicians were talking so loudly to each other in Mandarin - then looking at us and laughing! I'm not usually upset by this but it was for the entire pedicure. We had been on the beach the day before and I was really obviously burned all over (I'm talking rock-lobster) and my technician put really hot hot hot towels on my calves. I tried to hold back saying anything, but when she asked if I was OK I said "No it's really hot cause I'm burned all over sorry..." Then she yelled at me saying I was freaking her out. Yikes. Then one of the technicians tried to convince my mom that she should get her eyebrows done. She kept saying it would make my mom look younger... and my mom finally gave in. Then my technician kept saying I needed mine done too. So we got our eyebrows waxed.... Overall it was a pedicure. I wasn't too fond of the service. I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

So far so good! I'm writing this as I get a pedicure. Prompt service with no appointment. On a Sunday, they seem to be staffed to receive the amount of business that comes in, which is to say a lot! I only had to wait for a little over 5 minutes which gave me plenty of time to choose my color. My person doing my pedicure noticed that i walk a lot in heals and offered me some reflexology! Yes please! So far he has been very gentle in clipping and scrubbing calluses and has taken great care in seeing to my problem areas. The color on my toes was done very nicely and it was probably the best foot massage I've ever had!
