I found this place on google. I had never been here before but was DESPERATE to have my mouth checked as I had been experiencing a tremendous amount of pain. I called early in the morning, around 8:30am and the receptionist said the dentist could see me at 9! She was super nice and fast, of course I said yes! Immediately jumped out of bed and left to meet my dentist. I waited for about 15 mins before I got walked back into a room. Finally meet my dentist and she is wonderful! She got straight to work and explained everything throughout the process. She started the process for a root canal and was so gentle and understanding when it came to the pain. I always avoid the dentist because I am just scared lol but I will definitely keep coming back. I'm so happy I found this place! They truly are so good and take care of you! Highly recommend!!!! I have had a superior experience with M & M Smiles. M & M Smiles is a family run business, run locally by two sisters with their education in Dentistry. I am a patient of Dr. Mariam, and I have been having a great experience. I just moved to the Sacramento area and I found their dentistry office on the Aetna insurance website. I came in at first for a consult, then I had a second appointment to get some cavities filled. Dr. Mariam takes close attention to detail and really cares about her patients well being. The team is very responsive when I initially completed the form to request an appointment. Website was user friendly and I was able to print and complete the new patient packet ahead of time. I went to this dentist for about 4 years and it was not a good experience. I had been going to other dentists for my whole life and never had any problems. When I went to this dentist they found all these things wrong with my mouth and it was over $2000. When they did the work they messed up and my mouth was in extreme pain. They fixed it but it was not fun. Over my time hear they love trying to sell you stuff. They are sales people. Just trying to get money from you. The final straw for me was I had to cancel a appointment and wanted to reschedule. They told me there was a $50 dollar fee to reschedule. That is just ridiculous and just adds to the fact that there number 1 priority is not you but just your money. The best decision I will make is going to another dentist. read more

Very unorganized office! For my first appointment I had to wait longer than 30 minutes to get in and had to miss more work than planned. For my 2nd appointment I was about 10 minutes late and they ended up canceling my whole appointment that day because the dentist was at lunch. The dental hygienist was extremely rude to me and offered no apology for the appointment getting cancelled. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone! It's not worth the hassle. read more

I entered in a contract with the previous Doctors, paid them over $4,000.00 for dental work. They didn't completed the dental work and they sold the business to another Doctor. I tried to give the other Doctors the benefit of the doubt. I have been There 3 times. and every time I have to pay for work which is very poor. Avoid this Dental Office. If you want to avoid the dental con game, go to M&M Smiles. I'm new to the area and am very impressed with M&M Smiles. The staff is courteous and detail oriented. They didn't try to give me the hard sell or get me to pay for unnecessary things. Dr. Maha was excellent. She explained things well and has a nice manner. M&M Smiles has a friendly neighborhood dentist feel to their office, which is harder to come by these days. Compare this to a "corporate" practice I had called in the area that wouldn't accept my x-rays taken 6 months ago (they are supposed to be good for one year) and said I'd meet with their financial consultant about payment plans after my dental consult (they haven't even seen my teeth, I have good insurance, but they already know I'll need a payment plan??). I just started with Dr. Almusawi, and it's been great. Everyone is super nice in the office. I went in for a new patient exam, and got a cleaning at the same time. I'm not the biggest fan of going to the dentist, and when the staff doesn't "guilt" you when you're not 100% perfect with brushing and flossing, it makes it WAY easier to go. I recently had three crowns put on (told you, not that great with the flossing), and both Dr. Almusawi and her assist were super nice the whole time, making sure I was ok, and explaining what was happening. Additionally, Terry (she deals with insurance and all that fun stuff), was great explaining what my insurance covered and everything. I also got a call a day after I got the crowns put on, just to see how I was doing, and if I had any questions. Just an all around wonderful experience. read more

I was looking for a new dentist that could help with my TMJ. My first day here was very welcoming and they were able to help with my jaw pain by getting me a night guard. There was some issues getting the guard to fit just right but it wasn't an issue with the dentist as they order the guard from another lab. I look forward to making them my new dentists. read more

We've been going to this practice for years, and we've worked with each of the dentists that have taken it over. Dr. Sajid has been terrific to work with so far. My daughter had to have some teeth pulled for braces, and Dr. Sajid was patient, gentle, and so kind to my daughter (who was not excited about getting teeth pulled). The office staff are all friendly and professional. They are working to make sure you know what you're co-pay is before your treatment and take away any unknowns. I had a really good experience. The front desk/reception was friendly and helpful. They did all the leg work with my insurance and took time to explain everything to me.The cleaning was thorough, and gentle enough I had little to no gum discomfort during or after my appointment. This was the first time I can remeber a dentist actually talking me through each issue they observe, what it means for my mouth, and the reason for their decided course of treatment. I have been bouncing around from 1 dentist to another. Most just want to charge, charge, charge you and your dental plan. Most do not care about the $$ it costs you, or pain you will suffer, they just want to make money. Not Here. I went in yesterday, and saw Dr. Maryam, and was really surprised. I could see, she only had my best interest in her mind. That was really odd after being at so many other offices. Another thing. There is not set in stone price for the same procedure from 1 office to another. The last dentist I was at wanted $1185 out of my pocket on top of what my insurance would pay for the work on 1 tooth. Here it was about $650 out of pocket. Wow!! Dr. Maryam, and the rest of her staff were really nice. I believe I have now found a new place to be tortured. ***Potential Patients BEWARE!!!** I was a patient of Dr.Jeffs for years before he retired. I decided to give M&M smiles a try. So my first visit was for a cleaning. Dr. Maryam gave an exam and found a couple of issues. This was a surprise since seeing Dr. Jeffs, I have committed to taking better care of my teeth. These things happen so i decided to follow the plan laid out by the doctor. Here's where the red flags start. So I proceed to the receptionist desk to schedule my follow up appointment. At this point the receptionist asked for payment for the dental work being scheduled. I enquried why was payment being asked for when the work has not done and my insurance hasn't been billed! I was informed this was a new policy and this was essentially a payment for the time slot for my appointment. I was also informed I would be billed/refunded if i under/over payed. So I paid thinking this is just something I had to get use to. For my return visit for the work that I paid for, I was expecting Dr. Maryam to do the procedure. She was the one that did the initial dental exam and laid out a course of action. To my surprise, it was Dr. Maha. This was the first time meeting her, and she said she would be preforming the procedure. To me this was basically meeting a stranger and allowing them to do your dental work. I'm accustomed to building a rapport with my dentist and engaging in some chit chat. None of that. Dr. Maha finished and left to work on another patient. This should have been my last visit. I decided to give them more try. So I return for my annual 6 month cleaning. Once again after the cleaning, I had a dental exam from Dr. Maryam. This time around, same as before! She found a issue that needed to be fixed. This time a cavity on a crown. And like before, I prepaid for the work. Here is where I question this office and their practice. The tooth in question is covered with a crown. A few months prior, I had to go to a specialist for some work on this tooth. The specialist had to drill into the crown and filled the crown with a composite filling when done. M&M Smiles stated that they basically see a cavity and it needs to be filled or the crown replaced. I question this because, this was less then 4 months from seeing the specialist. After I leave the office, I contact the specialist that worked on the "cavity' is question. I'm able to get into the specialist office within a few days and told that the tooth is fine and no cavity is visible. After I leave the specialist office, I call M&M to cancel my appointment and get a refund. It is after their business hours on Friday and I leave a message. I waited 3 business days and didn't receive a call back. So I call back and get the receptionist and was informed the person that does billing is out. I ask when the billing person would be back and given the reluctant answer of a couple of weeks. I was told no one else was able to handle my refund and I would need to wait. I find it difficult to believe that no one else could handle any billing/refunds. I receptionist stated they would leave a note for the billing person to get back to me. At this point I am feed up with this office. I immediately call my bank and inform them of the situation. My banks states that M&M has 2 weeks to issue my refunded from the date I left a message. I give M&M 3 weeks time and nothing from them. No follow up to my message on the their machine or the message left with the receptionist. I called my bank and they issued me a refund after waiting the allotted time. This was my experience with M&M Smiles within a 6 month period. Needless to say I have found another dentist. The only contact I have received from them is to schedule my annual cleaning. I'll responded to them when i get a call back confirming my cancellation and refund...lol read more

They bought my old Dentist's practice when he retired and have run it into the ground. Their idea of marketing is to HOUND patients who are saving up for treatment. I asked them NOT to contact me; that I'd contact them. Two voice mails and three letters within 5 days! They can perform services on an hours notice because they have driven away all the former patients. This used to be a great practice. Now it's just a money machine for these two sisters. They don't care about patients at all. Just how much money they can suck out of you. Zero respect for people. And I love the old team; I'm just sorry they have to work for these people. The prior dentist was a great dentist and a good man. Sad. And now I have to find a good dentist. read more

I'm a new patient at M&M Smiles & I just have to rave about how AMAZING they are there, I also don't leave yelp reviews, but I made an account just to leave this review!!! Usually I get pretty nervous going to dentist appointments, as I've had horrible experiences prior, but Dr. Sajid & one of her amazing assistants(I'm so sorry I forgot her name) were so welcoming, so friendly, so informative & they listened to my every need! Dr. Sajid is also super gentle, I originally went in for teeth cleaning, but she was able to fit me in for a last minute extraction, best part about it....she took my tooth out in what felt like 5 mins, with no pain & with all the grace in the world. After my extraction, she actually took the time to show me my tooth, explain what happened, how she did it....she even let me put on gloves to hold my own tooth lol. After the extraction, she took the time to walk me out to the front office, explained after care, how to contact her if I have any issues, we went over payment plans & payment options. She even offered to stay after hours or to open the office for me on days they're usually closed on, just to fit my schedule for my next appointments. After all this, she ALSO walked me over to the office next door so I could book an exam.....now this is what you call customer service & customer care!! I recently became a patient at M&M smiles and Dr. Maryam and Dr. Maha are amazing. I had two crowns done at one time and it was the easiest and most painless experience... Honestly! Their technology is one of kind and update. Each patient has the option of watching heir own personal TV while their dental work is being done. They even send text message appointment reminders. Their front end staff who helped me (Terry) had all insurance payments and deductibles taken care of before my appt. I needed an emergency appt a few weeks ago and they were able to fit me in that day (within the hour) and was seen by Dr. Maha immediately and examined, including full X-rays. The office building is convienantly located and visible from the Main Street. Inside office is very clean and has a comfortable vibe. I absolutely love M&M Smiles!!! read more

Unprofessional & unorganized. I would give you ZERO stars if it was an option. Scheduled for an appointment over a week ago for Thursday at 1pm. Came 10 minutes early. Door was locked, called the office and my call was routed to their answering service. Answering service suggested they might still be at lunch. Okay, understandable. It's 1pm. Door still hasn't unlocked. 1:10pm, called the office and was routed to their answering service again. I was informed they would be notified that I was outside waiting and still past my appointment time. 1:20pm, door is still locked. Still no answer or response from the office. 1:30pm half hour of waiting past my scheduled time, I left. And no call or attempt to reach out from the office that day either. read more

Their front office staff gave me a warm welcome, and was seen by Dr Maryam, by far the nicest dentist I've been seen!
