I had this procedure at another dentist about a year and a half ago. It was so painful. He did not check in. He got frustrated when I would ask him to pause for a minute. And he was very rough. Dr. Mendoza is so gentle. One of my many favorite things about him as he checks in to make sure that you're OK and not in pain. He also tells you exactly what he's doing each step. Today I had Angela and Marife. Both were very kind and nurturing. I also had the pleasure of meeting another front desk associate her name is Rose and she's also very sweet. I highly recommend this DENTIST and amazing staff! A month ago - Extractions Meli was the first person I spoke to when I called as a new patient. Super sweet and professional. Angie was the person who did my X rays. She was very gentle and kind. I was visiting the office because I needed an extraction, and was in excruciating pain. The staff were like my lil guardian angels. Then Dr. Mendoza comes in the room. I was having such an amazing experience. I was kind of scared that the dentist might be like most I've seen. Cold with a God complex. Dr. Mendoza is the exact opposite! He's light hearted, funny and extremely informative. Wish I found this office 30 years ago. I'm 54 and have never experienced such a peaceful and loving environment at a dentist. Ty everyone.

The face plant I did on the kitchen tile a while ago, cracking my two front teeth was a whole lot more than I thought it would be and is taking a whole lot longer than I anticipated. Long story short...Eureka Roseville doesn't do invisalign anymore so, they sent me to Eureka Sacramento. Ugh, the drive. Well, let me tell you this......the drive is well worth it. This group of professionals are just that and more. Everybody is so, just really nice. They take their job seriously and treat their patients just as they should be treated. They are stellar in all that they do. I recommend them over anybody I have ever seen. I live in West Roseville and always happy to make that drive for my appointments. Worth every dime I spend on gas and believe you me, I spend a lot of them. A HUGE shout out to Eureka Dental Group of West Sacramento. Keep doing what your doing. This review is on behalf of my daughter. She was a patient at Eureka Dental for about one year…read more Everything was okay until her last visit. This visit was due to tooth pain. Dr. Ismat told her the pain was due to an overfilled or "high" dental filling that because of grinding, was pressing on a nerve. Her treatment plan was to redo the filling which would include drilling away excess filling. My daughter asked for pain medication. Ibuprofen 600 mg was offered. My daughter told her she had already taken 800 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg Naproxen and that neither one had relieved the pain. Dr. Ismat said she was unable to prescribe anything other than that. My daughter then made an appointment with another dentist. She told him what had transpired at Eureka Dental. This dentist recommended antibiotics to rule out an infection with the gums. He also gave her a prescription for pain medication. This dentist practiced prudency and was correct in his diagnosis. My daughter is no longer experiencing any pain. I might add that if Dr. Ismat refused to prescribe pain medication because she believed the pain was due to nerve pain alone, shouldn't she have done specialized tests along with imaging and symptom patterns to rule out other causes? Dr. Ismat's diagnosis seemed to be solely based on financial gain for Eureka Dental.

Onlay fell off in August & a filling dropped out on the tooth nearby. I am fairly sure ~9 months…read moreprior I bit down hard on something between both of those teeth & damaged both restorations at the same time, I was concerned & suspected there was some movement at the time but foolishly ignored it & eventually forgot about it until the crown finally came lose revealing the filling was lose as well. Naturally, in does months some decay developed under both. I came in to get it cleaned & recemented. My dentist hardly spent any time checking my teeth & went straight to recommending crowns on both & a root canal, I don't remember him doing a visual inspection on any of the other teeth like my dentists normally do. I was trying to convince him that I am hoping to get another filling on the missing one (maybe crown, certainly not a root canal) & get the onlay recemented after cleaning off the staining/decay. My oral routine has improved drastically in general recently so I was confident I would be able to maintain does two for longer this go around, especially since I experienced no pain in either. There was some slight browning on the onlay tooth which may have been caffeine staining or decay but either way it seemed slight & and he assured me he would check if it was decay and clean it off before recementing. But first, he would let the hygienist/assistant do general cleaning routine first before actually checking... In this time I heard them discuss the quotes outside my room & a bit later received my Medi-Cal insurance quotes to sign off on & to my surprise crown & root canal were quoted for BOTH... like what... I was open to it for onlay tooth since it was heavily damaged as is but certainly NOT on the filling one. I was assured these are just quotes they are trying to get approval for & that they would only do what is needed (notably there was no quote for filling if that is all that was needed...). The tooth cleaning finishes after some time (it has been years since I came in for a cleaning, I was being avoidant given my current finances). I am brought to a different room for cementing where a tech preps the tooth. This is where I was expecting the dentist to come in to check for & clean off any decay. I let the Tech do his thing, I think all he did was clean off the onlay itself after I asked him to & then he applied some etch to my tooth... here is where the dentist comes in, asks the tech if things are ready (my mouth wide open), and they go for the cementing... he promptly leaves again while it cures & the tech applies some compound to the filling area so it isn't too exposed... this is where it dawns on me that the tooth was never inspected for decay & certainly not cleaned, if there was some slight cavity decay this would be real bad... not sure what to say, it being too late now... I get to reception, am told I must wait up to 4 weeks for approval from Medi-Cal. I get home annoyed that neither of my requests were heeded in the slightest, I just had my crown with probably decay get cemented over... Since then (its end of Sept now) some time passed where I am just waiting on approval. The compound lasted maybe 4days & I wanted to make sure my oral routine was affecting the bacteria in the cavity anyway. ~2 weeks after the appointment I get a Medi-Cal letter denying the quote stating that a filling is appropriate according to the X-Rays (im a bit furious with this revelation given that this was EXACTLY what I asked for)... I was expecting Harbor Dental to give me a call at this point (pretty sure that is the procedure, they get approval/denial & let you know when you can go in), but nothing. 2 weeks later I get another one, my guess is Harbor Dental tried to get reapproval. I probably should have given a call to Harbor since but I was annoyed & more importantly I am trying this new routine that should get rid of cavity causing bacteria all together since cavities are really just a bacterial infection that not everyone has and thus can be removed with specific, diligent oral care. Well sadly oral washes won't work on Streptococcus mutans that have been completely cemented over, the mutans can sustain themselves on tooth matter alone. Expectedly the dreaded thing happened, my onlay tooth has now started aching & more seriously past few days making me fear that the bacteria that was cemented over has reached the nerve & is now eating it up. All this because the dentist was eager to do BOTH root canal & crown on a tooth that had a filling with decay but looked largely okay on X-Rays. I had no issues with root-canal & crown on the onlay tooth if we tried recementing first after cleaning the tooth... neither was done & all I paid for is to have temporary incubation chamber be cemented on my tooth for eventual failure.. now I am worried worried and who knows what state the tooth that only needed a filling is in now after 2 months of limbo. Staff is nice tho. Just a bad dentist/experience. My prior dentist left...

I recently had bleach trays for myself and my daughter made. It was an easy process, impressions were taken. They are awesome. My teeth are so white now. Needless to say, I didn't go back to either one. Majestic was completely different. They were patient, honest, and transparent about what I actually needed. They cleaned my teeth, did a root canal, and put a crown on the tooth the other dentists wanted to pull. It's been a while now and my tooth is perfectly fine!
