Honestly. i dont think the dentist listed is who runs the practice now. This Place is horrible. Rude staff. Long ass wait even though you schedule an appt they'll wait almost an hour to see you. Oral surgeon was on his phone for 30 minutes when I arrived at 10am! No way this was lunch time. While 4 patients were waiting. One of which got called back as I walked in the building!! Oral surgeon was rude as hell. Didn't introduce himself. Brushed off all my questions. When going to extract my wisdom teeth he said I was exaggerating and I couldn't feel anything when I could feel everything. only gave me local anesthesia for this. When it was all said and done he got up a walked out didn't even look at me or feel bad for the terrified exper he gave me. Do not come here. They are terrible. No empathy. No quality of care. As usual everything went smoothly from check in, to check out! The front office folks are always friendly and informative. My care is always a first priority. My dental hygienist was wonderful and took utmost care. Then I received my night guard and the fit was perfect. Dr. Lin gave me an injection for my TMJ pain. My overall care was of perfectionism. Although I've relocated out of Woodland, I highly recommend Dr Lin and his practice to those looking for a dentist. I was a patient of Dr. Lin's at the beginning when he opened his practice until 2016 or 2017. The only reason I don't still go there is because I live about 40 miles from Woodland. Dr. Lin is awesome. His staff all represent his practice well. Many procedures I'd previously been referred elsewhere for and or had to wait extended time periods, eg root canals and crowns, are handled by Dr. Lin and his staff. The office is state of the art, Dr. Lin has been upgrading existing equipment and technologies. Everyone the office is friendly, helpful and positive. If I have questions I always have an answer before I leave or by the following day. Care credit is accepted at this location. read more

HORRIBLE. No Care. No Empathy. This is definitely the worst money hungry dentist i have been to. I moved in the area and waited 2 months for a cleaning. Then waited another 1.5mo for a supposed cavity that turned into "I cannot put a crown so you need a bridge or an implant". Then waited another 1.5mo for another cavity that turned into "that tooth has only 1 wall left so you will need an implant". Now my bite is off and my front teeth are hitting too much and are hurting, and the dentist Brian Lin is aggravated that i asked him THREE TIMES so far to fix my bite and he is telling me that my bite being off has nothing to do with his crown being too short. The only solution he gave me was to shave my natural tooth and then he raised his voice that if i do not trust him to go to another dentist. HORRIBLE. No Care. No Empathy. read more

I procrastinated going to the dentist for years, until my teeth hurt. A friend of the family recommended Brian Lin DDS. I began going to his office October 2020. It's kind of a drive for me (since I live in Sacramento,) but it's worth it. My teeth still need a lot of work, but Dr. Lin and his staff have been doing a great job so far!! I had my teeth cleaned by Lisette earlier this week; it was the most thorough and gentle cleaning I have ever received!!! I had embarrassing yellow stains on my two front teeth for years, and Lisette had them gone in minutes!!! I'm actually looking forward to my next cleaning in June. Fantastic dentist with an amazing staff. The chairs have a massage thing for your lower back which is such a nice touch. If you need fillings, Dr. Lin uses a laser tool that doesn't require novacaine and you don't feel a thing. The hygienist uses a water-based cleaning tool that is totally pain free -- best cleanings I've had in over 50 years of going to the dentist. read more

Sadly, there are some serious downsides to choosing Dr Lin as your dentist that I feel the public should know about. I will relate my experience with him as a new patient so that maybe it can help you decide if he's the right dentist for you to place your trust in. You only have one set of permanent teeth, so of course you need to be able to 100% trust in the dentist's integrity, judgment, and workmanship. First off, let me say Dr Lin, who BTW seems to have a very pleasant chair side manner, may indeed have excellent hand skills--he must have something going for him to be picked as the #1 dentist in Woodland. But I wouldn't know about the quality of his workmanship, because I saw him only for what turned out to be the initial exam (where he told me his assessment of my teeth) and his treatment plan (what he planned to do about my teeth). He said I needed two crowns replaced because of decay, along with a periodontal flap/graft next to one of them--that HE would do (not refer me to a periodontist)--plus filling a not at all noticeable slight chip in a "canine" (that's been there for decades, has never caused me any problems, and which several dentists have since seen it got chipped and never even mentioned). My first appointment to begin the treatment plan with Dr Lin would be 2-1/3 months later--they couldn't fit me in any earlier. HUGE RED FLAG! In the world of dentistry, if you check the internet and the many past experiences of your older friends, you'll know that beginning treatment of tooth decay from the dentist's perspective, if not the patient's, is considered an urgent--sometimes even an emergent--issue. I have never waited longer than 10 days MAX for even a tiny, non-visible to the naked eye, asymptomatic cavity in the busiest dental offices I've ever been to. If treatment is delayed, the patient can risk needing a root canal....so delay with tooth decay doesn't ever happen in a reputable dental practice. If the dentist is so busy that he cannot meet the needs of his patients for timely care, then he needs to either stop taking new patients while he catches up, work more hours per day, or hire an associate. There seems to be only one explanation for not choosing one or more of these three obvious solutions....what do you suppose that could be? Hint: More patients mean more $$$. Fewer associates mean more $$$$$$ for oneself. This is a really unfortunate approach to care coming from a medical professional....very unfortunate for his unwitting patients, that is. Because I was afraid I might end up needing one, or maybe even two, root canals if I waited for 2-1/3 months to receive any care, I decided I needed to look for another dentist. After scouring the internet for dentists in the Sacramento area with decades of experience and with impeccable credentials and reviews, I found one in the Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, who also does peer reviews through the Sacramento Dental Association of other dentists' work, and is much appreciated by her loyal, long-term patients. In other words, an excellent, time-tested, solid dentist. I got an initial appointment in two days for a full exam. She said I needed two crowns replaced, and when I asked about the periodontal flap/graft that Dr Lin said I needed, she looked puzzled and said I had no need for anything like that at all. Also, like the many dentists in the decades before her, she did not mention any need for filling the tiny chip in my canine. Thus I was spared the considerable over-expenditure of money proposed by Dr Lin. I was also spared two potential root canals, as I was given an appointment only 5 days later to begin care on the replacement crowns....not an unheard of 2-1/3 months! Integrity, judgment, and workmanship--all three are needed in a dentist to know you've got a trustworthy one. All the best to you in your search for a great, honest dentists!!! read more

I really like their new dental hygienist Lisette! This was the best cleaning I have ever had. She used a combination of water jets and ultrasonic waves to remove the bulk of the plaque, which reduced the tooth scrapping to only a few minutes. Dr. Lin is very professional with all of the state-of-the art equipment, but is also very nice and takes the time to fully explain options and procedures. He replaced all of my old silver fillings and provided crowns to two broken teeth. All of the work he provided was exceptional quality. read more

Have been looking for a new dentist since mine retired. Dr. Brian Lin was recommended to me by a friend and I am grateful to my friend for telling me about this dentist office. Staff is incredible, Dr Lin is very nice, knowledgeable, and caring. They thoroughly explain everything they find, use a video camera to show you their findings while they are explaining it to you. Went back today for a cleaning, never have my teeth been so thoroughly cleaned in my life. Wish I had started going here years ago. From the front office staff to Dr Linn and Dental hygienist Lizzette. Top notch and caring. It's a safe place no matter what your need is. My last cleaning was the best I ever had in my life. You know how water collects in your mouth and you feel like it is flooding until they suction it out? Awful. Well Lizette has a technique where it is almost non existent with positioning of your head. Add in the gentle massaging back dental chair and neck pillow I almost fell asleep! At the end of her washout of your mouth, you don't feel like you need to rinse out yourself. Amazing. I trust them with my care of myself and family and know nothing is going to be suggested unless there is a need. Highly suggested to all. With great appreciation for this dental office. I have had quite a bit of work done on my teeth the last few months. Dr. Lin is great. One of the surprising things at least for me, is that Dr. Lin has an in-house mill. I went in, in the morning to for prep work for a dental crown, and came back in the afternoon to set the crown. In my prior experiences at other dentists, the wait was typically two weeks. Finally let me say that the staff are competent, friendly, and caring. Everyone in the office, the hygienists, it's a great team and a terrific group of people. read more

Dr. Lin is amazing!! My whole family goes to Dr. Lin's dental office for all routine care & more. My seven year old daughter has had to have two baby teeth pulled recently & Dr. Lin was able to distract her by talking to her about ballet that she had no idea he had already pulled her teeth out. He was so gentle & nice that she loves going to the dentist. I unfortunately had to have two crowns placed due to enamel erosion. I was so nervous & scared to have this done because number one I was scared that it was going to look bad (being my front teeth) & number two I was scared it would hurt! Dr Lin was so gentle & nice threw out the whole procedure. Dr Lin & his assistant Hailey made sure that I was not only comfortable but they also explain every step along the way. Once that part was over I had my temporary crowns placed & a appointment booked for my permanent crowns. I just got my permanent crown put in today & it looks perfect!! Once again Dr. Lin & Hailey where so gentle & nice I didn't even need to be numbed up. They where able to gently ease off my temp crown & asking all along if I was ok. They explain what they where doing the whole time & made sure I was in no pain whatsoever. When I saw my new smile in the mirror I was so happy & glad that I got my crowns done. They waited to cement them in to make sure I was absolutely happy with them. If you need to have crowns or any dental work done you will no be disappointed going to Dr. Lin. He takes his time & makes sure that you are always comfortable & in as little pain as possible. Bring the whole family!! read more
