So I went here for a while. Got a lot of work done over 2 years. A few visits in the Dentist drilled a cavity out that I couldn't see in any X-ray but he swore was there. Behind one of my front teeth. Then some lady with her face and head completely covered with a doily came in, said nothing to me, stuck her finger in my mouth and sloppily filled the hole. Everyone who worked there kept insisting that the sharp edges she left from her sloppy job would smooth out but months and months went by and that never happened - just like I knew it wouldn't and just like they knew wouldn't. Finally I complained to the blonde haired white woman, who happens to be nice and normal like the rest of us (who were born here and have respect for the lands and each other and not just 'their own kind) who cleans teeth took a look and could see and feel what the imports "couldn't." She told the "Dr" about it. Next time I went in to get my teeth cleaned - I was switched to a new cleaner - who just so happened to also be an import. She poked and scraped the s*** out of my gums, creating new problems including gum reduction. That oughtta shut me up, ha? 'Be quiet and passive you s**** A*****.' At the time all this was happening - I was still recovering from years of mourning from years of continued losses including my father in law, grandfather, sister in law, pets, etc. Getting other back teeth chipped off by this guy who claimed those things never happened or that they just so happened to happen while he was back there doing work next to other teeth near those. All this happening while I was in one of the most vulnerable states of my life was really f***** up. Going to the Dentist was actually me trying to take care of myself and be optimistic in a post-pland****-co*** world where many people prior to, during after after I knew had passed away, among other things. But - I'm better now. So I'm writing this because - when I complained about the f***** up filling the sloppy, rude a** towel h*** left - he finally took it out. He kept trying to get me get braces and teeth whitening and implants but all I wanted was my f***** tooth he f***** up filled correctly. So I went in, got it filled and two days later while I was at home minding my own f****** business - that s*** suddenly came out. So I called them, went back in and this guy tells me and my partner - he's not going to fix it because it would just happened again. I had no issue with this tooth until I went to this place, to this guy and that team. Now he was saying - I won't fix it - you need to now get all of your teeth crowned - but get braces first - so that after your teeth - one of which I won't fix - get straightened out - we can then cover them up. Guess he thought I was some Mexican silly f****t rolling in money, pulling the purse strings or something. It's been about a year and a half and there's still a hole in my tooth that I got when I was in an extremely vulnerable place that they took advantage of - but I'm better now. Today I had to go through the parking lot of that place to avoid the traffic from that restaurant next door that s*****ly replaced the lawn with rocks so they can be an upscale fish bowl, and came across the secretaries and assistants that work there. They all started saying hi like they didn't know what happened. I said nothing but that seems to have led them to believe they should say it with bigger, more "confident" smiles and louder - so I said - I still have a hole in my tooth. The girl from the front desk who tells everyone what to do just started laughing. So. I decided to write these truthful events. This is for you, girl. read more

It's always a warm welcome when you walk in the door. I've been coming here for over 5 years and love how they treat their guest. As an adult I still get nervous walking into my dentist appointments. But once i'm here the staff makes you feel comfortable and they are super friendly. I've had all of these treatments and never had a problem with them after. While I didn't ultimately get serviced here due to the price being close to double what I was quoted before they checked my mouth I did have a great experience with this location. I was definitely a little suspect when I saw the random location but was pleasantly surprised. The front office staff as well as the dental assistants were very stellar with their level of care to ensure I was comfortable . I loved the welcome gift which consisted of a tumbler (that didn't keep my coffee hot) lol but the gesture was definitely thoughtful. The one start was removed based on the price discrepancy but I can't really be too upset. While they did refer me to their enododentist that could have seen me same day I was quoted $1200-$1600 but the referral was for $2200 which was completely outside of my budget allocated for the visit. Equally the front office staff as well as the dentist were trying to assist with figuring out something as I was in an intense amount of pain, Should I have dental insurance that works with this office or want to pay the cash price for this location I would definitely try it again. read more

I went to this dental office on a friend's recommendation and Inmust say it was good advice. My appointment was at 830am and began right on time. No extra paperwork or delays. Skylar was very friendly, humorous and helped put me as ease before beginning my cleaning. During the procedure she remained calm and gentle. I do appreciate being in good hands due to bad past experiences. After my cleaning the Dr came in and gave me a detailed breakdown of future steps to take and procedures to be done. From the warm welcome upon arrival and the pleasant ambiance of the clinic itself, to the meticulous and personalized care I received from Jose, Luca, and Dr. Dogra, I was blown away. I had been with my previous dentist for more than two decades, and after he retired, I did not believe I would find another dentist I trusted and believed in as much. I was mistaken. I required multiple complex fillings and crowns, and went to two other dentists in the area who quoted obscene prices. I sent over my X-rays from the other offices to Dr. Dogra. He squeezed me into his schedule that week, identified a cracked/chipped filling missed by the two previous dentists, and gave a markedly reduced, fair price compared to the other offices. If not evident already, Dr. Dogra and his team have my highest praise--so much so that my mother and father are now his patients as well. read more

Got a cap put on one of my lower molars from this dentist. They showed me a sample cap that was too yellow and I asked to see more color samples so I could choose one that actually matched my teeth. I chose a slightly whiter color than what they had shown me and when I held the sample tooth up against mine, it was the same color (meaning it would blend well with the teeth in my mouth. However, after the cap was put on it was 10 times brighter than the one I had wanted. Now whenever I open my mouth there is a fluorescent excruciatingly bright white (almost green, not even kidding) tooth screaming HELLLOOOOO in my mouth. It looks HORRIBLE. The best thing about this dentist is that they'll put you on a payment plan if your bill is over a certain dollar amount. Other than that, I'd NEVER go back to this dentists office unless I want more tacky looking fluorescent chompers.... yeah umm, NO THANKS. read more

If I had one word to describe this dentist's work it would be SLOPPY. I would only come here for routine cleaning and exam - absolutely No DENTAL work. This dentist talks and explains a lot but makes poor decisions when it comes to how to address teeth that need work. Also the work he does is sloppy and not well done. Now that I'm reading other reviews I can see that I'm not the only one that has had issue with his performance. Most of the time he is unsure of what to do so sends out patients to endodontist. He is NOT an expert by any means - does not take responsibility for his work and just covers up his incompetence with talk and explanations. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with his work and judgment! Stay away - if you want an expert dentist in the area - EAST SAC DENTISTS is a practice I trust to make the correct decisions and do the work right! I was not informed that they require new patients to sign form that charges $50 cancellation fee without 48 hour notice until I got to appointment. I shared my previous 2 dentists didn't require this and was told they must "not be good". I understand some dentists require this but to not inform new patients prior to appointment and disparage other dentists is not what I would call honest service. read more

Started visiting Dr. Dogra and the CS team towards the end of 2017. You'll find the common theme in that most people hate the dentist but this Dr. And his team make it FAR LESS painful to go and, not to sound corny but I genuinely look forward to a visit. He's also an Orthodontist which is what attracted me to see him initially. I had the goal to get my teeth straightened out but hated the thought of adult braces. Cut to 11 months later and FastBraces were worth every single penny spent. Had to pay out of pocket only because my insurance doesn't cover it but it was nevertheless the best decision I ever made. The office was so easy to work with in regards to payment. The best part is the constant reminders of appointments via text & email (not kidding) because someone like me doesn't always remember to save appt details. My family and I have been coming here for probably 10 years or so! Dr. Dogra is wonderful. He's friendly, careful, and knows what he's doing. As someone not originally from Sacramento, I was extremely overwhelmed by trying to find a new dentist when I first moved here. I tried a couple of different offices and felt more like a number than a patient. My fiancé recommended me to Confident Smiles and I could not be happier with them! The staff is so incredibly friendly and professional. Their office is clean and conveniently located in Midtown. I always have great conversations with them and they make me feel more like a part of their family than just another client to rush through. They clearly communicate costs, dates for follow-up appointments, and provide helpful information on other items like braces and teeth whitening. Can't recommend them enough! COVID update: I went in for my 6-month cleaning in the midst of the pandemic and the staff made me feel extremely safe. A week before my appointment, they called me to ensure I hadn't been sick and completed a verbal questionnaire with me. They also walked me through the procedures for the appointment which included staying in my car/calling them when I had arrived and taking my temperature before allowing me to go past the front desk. The day of my appointment I was pleasantly surprised to see that the staff also went above and beyond by clearing the lobby of other patients so that we could easily walk through with as much space between us as possible. Update: I no longer go to Confident Smiles. My first few visits were good, but then things swiftly changed. I have serious bone loss in my jaw and I have two of my teeth numbed when I get my cleaning. When I requested to be numbed the hygienist acted like I was requesting hard drugs. Then the dentist was discounting when he realized I needed another oral surgery. What really finalized my decision to leave was when I called to reschedule an appointment. I was in need of a dentist immediately! They were able to get me right in, and they put my nerves at ease. Everyone at Confident Smiles is very welcoming and they provide excellent service. I have gone to Dr. Dogra for years and he is great! I initially discovered his office through a teeth whitening deal and had enjoyed that process, so I decided to become a patient of Confident Smiles. I am young and have good oral hygiene so I only really go for the twice-a-year cleanings and the X-ray. Every time, the hygienists are friendly and fast, and nothing is painful (again, though, I usually don't have pain at the dentist). However, my husband also goes to Dr. Dogra and has had more complex dental issues. He got a crown from Dr. Dogra that did not fix his tooth pain and ultimately needed a root canal. Dr. Dogra was fantastic about it all. Though he can do root canals too, he referred my husband to an endodontist for some insurance-related reason, and that endodontist did a great job. That gave us the confidence that Dr. Dogra refers his patients to good specialists, if needed. I will say one huge reason I stayed with Confident Smiles this entire time was because I did not have dental insurance through my last job, and Confident Smiles has a membership. I loved that! I found it to be affordable and worthwhile. I believe it's still $250 a year, though they may have increased it slightly, and that covered the cleanings and X-rays. If you have an HSA, you can pay for the $250 through that. I thought it was a great deal. I have insurance now, but of course I will continue going to Confident Smiles. I highly recommend Confident Smiles for everyone seeking a new dental practice. read more
