It's a BIG job, involves cutting a hole in the concrete floor and perhaps changing some existing plumbing. Perhaps it was just too much for Sharp, because we did not hear back from them, when we were promised "you'll receive MANY emails with lots of information for you to look over". We've received none that I know of, despite the fact that we kept checking "inbox" and "junk" of our email. On their, way out, the day of the visit, we were told there was a $100 fee for coming out. That wasn't communicated in any way until then, not on the YELP email, and not on the text communication with them, not when they showed up, not until they were leaving. We're approximately 30 minutes from their office. Another plumber came twice the distance, later in the week, and didn't charge a thing for the opportunity to bid on a job. Despite the complete surprise of being told there's a charge, as they're headed out the door (they didn't take notes and didn't take any pictures of the job either to help with their potential quote), we paid them the $100 fee by card. It wasn't the best experience with Sharp Drain Solutions. We had hoped it would be.

They were also very sloppy leaving materials all over the yard including large nails and razor blades without regard of dangerous conditions for children and pets. The only reason they got a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because the end result does look nice. Too bad we had to complain and be "one of those customers" to get action.

And the chips are everywhere. Even in the street and on my neighbors driveway. This was an $8400 paint job. Over $4000 of that was scaffolding & harness charges they NEVER used. $500 for tarping, which was never used either; obviously. 1/2 way through the first day, I heard "the paint boss" say not to scrape anymore. They just slapped a very thick and quick coat and it was flaking off immediately, big chunks too, I would say 1/3 of the chips are from flakes AFTER they painted. However, since now Iam aware of the lead paint WE had to have tested, iam thankful we did not continue. Contractor Travis and his "paint guy" Jeremy did not want to meet us but we persisted and my ring camera caught them saying "we will eat the cost if you're not happy" yet here iam fighting to get my money back. In full disclosure, Todd, the general manager, if you can call him that , said he would refund me except the asbestos testing fees of $650. I asked to see the test, nothing. Not that I feel I owe them anything after this. I believe Servrpo is a predatory "restoration service". Todd was the worst to deal with, but all were condescending and dishonest, told us not to tell them how to do their job, said we need to trust the process. See the pics. State Farm referred this company but we have contacted them about all of this. I have also contacted the EPA and MDHHS. And yes I have contacted an attorney. Run.

Then they neglected to turn water on in the wall so faucet handles and plates needed removal and access holes drilled to turn access valve. They apparently never tested the plumbing they installed. This made no sense because new shutoffs were installed and easily accessible.

Ozzie Rangel and his twin sons, Vincent and Gabriel, own and operate the business. Vincent is the manager, writing the estimates and contracts. Vincent and his dad Ozzie came to write my estimate. Both men were very respectful of me and honored all my questions. Ozzie promised he or one of his sons would lead my crew. Not only did Gave lead my crew, Ozzie worked at my house at least two days. When the project was completed all things promised on the contract were completed as promised. Even though it took three trips to Menard's on Friday afternoon to get all supplies needed no corners were cut. Friday completion was the goal and the crew worked until 9 PM to reach the goal. In spite of the lateness and being dark the basement and yard were cleaned beyond my expectation before they left. Yes, the project was completed on time in spite of many glitches, but the best part of working with Rangel's was the courteousness and professionalism they displayed toward each other and me. By the time the project was compete we felt like friends. There were never any harsh words spoken to anyone. Gabe was even very polite and patient in teaching a new crew member. I would hire Rangel's Waterproofing & Construction again.
