I have a Firestone right across the street that is always very reliable and trustworthy. The boss there took one look at my problem and told me to come right here and have the real experts repair it. Most important and noteworthy these boys just jumped at the chance 2X (because I had neglected to bring my wheel lock key that Honda City his in my ownership folder ... yeah, that's where it belongs). They had the car jacked up minutes after I pulled in both times and fixed the hole in a few more minutes. This place is great. At this point I did not want to deal with them anymore and made other arrangements to pick up the same exact model slingshot in Pennsylvania, while I was en route and 6 hours away Mineola Moto calls me to inform me that the slingshot was mine (the other customer never showed up) what a circus show ! Come here!! Seriously…read more I had a nail in my tire and Cross Island Tires had me in and out in about 15 minutes. They patched the tire quickly, were polite, professional, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. What really stood out was that I had previously gone to Mavis in Queens Village for the SAME issue and was told I needed TWO new tires. My car is only 8 months old! Cross Island Tires took care of the actual problem with a simple patch and had me back on the road. Fast, honest, efficient, and no nonsense. Exactly what you want from a tire shop. And a special shoutout to Jay -- he was the best! Friendly, helpful, and made the whole thing ridiculously easy. I'll definitely be coming here from now on. Highly recommend!

I waited until the next morning to fix it, and the tire had gone "flat as a pancake". I called 7 places in Nassau and surprisingly 6 of them said they didn't have the tire I needed, or the machine to balance it. This was Meineke/Mavis that told me this. Two of them recommended Al's tire but specifically said ask for Georgie. I thought it was weird but I called. Georgie asked a few questions on the current tires and said bring it in to see if a replacement was needed. (not some BS sales-pitch). I stated its damage is close to side-wall & I asked if he could order a new one just in case. The guy said yes & literally got the sport tire the next day. I showed up next day 15 minutes before he opened. His staff looked at my old tire & showed me hole on side-wall. They "CLEARLY" explained my options & started to the work fo replacing it. Georgie showed up about 7 minutes later and confimred everything (with a little more detail on my tire & what probably happened). 5 stars for this dude and his company. He was reasonable priced, did the work the next morning, and was actually very informative. No thrills...just got it done quickly.... I was SOO happy...

I specifically asked if they could repair my tire, which has beadlock-capable rims (not actual beadlocks), meaning the outer ring can be removed to access the rim and patch the hole. The owner or person in charge assured me, saying, "I got you." I even mentioned that these rims are expensive and that I came here because of their reputation. Again, I was told, "Don't worry. I'll take care of you." As I waited, I watched them put the rim back on, and that's when I noticed damage to the ring. I immediately pointed it out to the worker handling it, only to be met with a dismissive, "It's nothing." The disrespect was unreal. I work hard for my things, and I don't expect to have them damaged by people who are supposed to be professionals. I brought this to the attention of the person in charge, only to hear, "It's out of my control." Are you kidding me?! Instead of taking responsibility, he suggested I go to a shop he knew--basically trying to pass me off to one of his buddies to fix the damage they caused and they weren't going to pay for it. Absolutely unacceptable. I trusted the reviews, but I won't make that mistake again. Others should know what happened here so they don't go through the same experience. If you make a mistake, own up to it. Don't give empty promises like "I got you" and "I'll take care of you" if you have no intention of standing by your word. Thank you.
