My pothos!
Sharon W.

Color me a very happy customer. I never really considered myself a person with a green thumb, but I thought it was time to get a nice plant for our home, especially knowing that it puts oxygen back out into the air and simply put, beautifies your home. I knew that I didn't want to go through the whole potting and adding soil process meaning that I just wanted it delivered all ready to go where the only thing I'd need to do was check the leaves and water periodically. We decided on a pothos and based on my extensive research, I chose to order from Leon and George on around May 3rd and we received on May 7th. I loved the fact that they ship their plants in a nursery pot and then inside a ceramic pot of your choosing. I chose the white ceramic pot with a draining hole and the accompanying dish on the bottom. Very nice! I was a bit nervous about the plant being shipped from California to NY, but it arrived perfectly fine and we couldn't be happier. Our plant is thriving much to our delight and even though our pothos needs very little attention, I find myself checking on it twice a day. LOL. A great big thank you to Allison and the wonderful team at Leon and George for being so responsive to my questions and for overall exemplary customer service. Here's a photo of my plant baby.

Beyond my expectations! An on time white glove delivery for my hand selected gorgeous 6 foot dragon plant. It looked better than any online picture. The person that delivered my plant was meticulous in setting it up to ensure it looked amazing. I couldn't be happier.

Fiddle Leaf Fig plant

I received my FLF yesterday and was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed with delivery and the product. I paid the extra money for white glove delivery but the day before delivery I got an email saying that in home delivery is suspended because of covid. I understand that, it's a safety precaution but why did they allow me to pay the extra fee if the delivery driver was just going to drop it off at my door just like UPS or FedEx would but for a much cheaper price?.... It should have been very clear at checkout that due to covid white glove delivery is modified. In addition, the plant itself has a few brown spots, isn't really a nice deep green, and the leaves weren't shiny or polished looking upon delivery. I had higher expectations considering the price and marketing. I was at wholefoods today and saw a FLF and it was in much nicer condition than what I received yesterday - for a fraction of the price. Just bummed out.

Our Snake Plant arrived in perfect condition, and looks just like the photos on their website.

We are very happy with our new Snake Plant. It exceeded our expectations. The plant is beautiful, and is as full and large as the photos on their website. It's perfectly paired with the Case Study ceramic pot. The online ordering process was very easy, and they responded quickly to their chat window when I asked specific questions about the plant and pot. Delivery was just as promised, and we couldn't have been happier with the delivery person who placed the plant where we wanted it, and made sure we were satisfied with every detail before leaving. For ease of ordering, getting an aesthetic plant that is potted and ready to display, and a great delivery experience, I highly recommend Leon and George.

Cast Iron plant

I am very happy with this company. I found them with a simple Google search because I didn't want the hassle of having to go to a home improvement store or nursery and find a decent plant, buy a nice pot, replant it, and possibly have to rent a truck to get it here. I just wanted it to show up at my door, and that's exactly what happened. Although I truly wanted the pink rubber tree, their site aptly notified me that it wasn't exactly pet friendly, which is really important. So I settled for the cast iron plant, which I'm very happy with. I hope it grows a little taller, I think when they arrive you always expect it to be a little bigger, even when they have the measurements on the site. The delivery driver was very knowledgeable and helpful. You can track the driver on the web for the day of delivery. My only suggestions for them would be to add a "Search" feature to their website by keyword.

Couldn't be happier. Have ordered three plants so far and the quality, look and service are all excellent.

The plant is beautiful and healthy!

I have a plant that needs to be replaced. It's a large palm tree that's dead. Will they deliver, replace, and remove?

I get nothing by compliments for my fiddle figgy tree and monstera whenever guests visit and every time I look at them, I'm filled with happiness.

"Oh, Mickey…read more.. You're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!" Mickey Hargitay Plants is the coolest little big plant store, plant nursery, garden center and serene landscaping places I've ever seen. From the pure vibrant vibes to the incredible staff that make this gem thrive. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. That wave of calm, relaxation and vibrance that being around nature and all it's planty goodness lives here in abundance. Explore in person, place orders for pick up or even delivery. Mickey Hargitay has a rich history to match it's ambiance since it's birth in 1980, starting off with succulents, cacti and their own macrame designs Voted one of the best places to buy plants in 2015. Featured in the L.A. Times in 2016. Featured in Voyage LA in 2021. Not to mention a great spotlight in 2025. Founded and owned by Mickey Hartigay Jr. a fellow Sag and plant lover like myself. He and every single person here is a gem, I picked up on nothing but good energy even after the end of a long day and rainy weekend everyone here does their best to bring a slice of joy to each person. Ringing up my assortment right as they were closing they still didn't miss a beat. Hoping to stop in a lot more (scheduling pending) and get to know everyone, find more plants for the house as well as a new plant for my boyfriends place of even bring him in to explore. Pup friendly. Family friendly And very much open to all. Recently started following their Insta and I'm "obsessulated!" Easy parking in the neighborhood, street parking primarily or an easy stroll in closeby, riding the metro or parked off La Brea. Four new very healthy plants in various sizes for under $20... This was a 30 minute drive for me but that's nothing when it comes to enjoying a walk through some awesome plants. There isn't much parking and you have to find a spot on the street. Upon entering the property you are consumed with lush and rare greenery. I found many sought after plants and they were priced accordingly. There are many areas in their outdoor area as well as inside the greenhouse. Most plants have a price on the pot of on a tray if there are multiples. There is also a pottery shop although I didn't go in there. I could have easily left with a car full of plants but was able to exercise restraint and only left with a sweet Hoya Polyneura. Hope you enjoy my photos!

I've had the plants I've bought from here for 2/3 months, they're all doing great, and attached are photos of the ones I've purchased.

Jimmy is one hardworking dude, I see him there all the time. This plant spot is great for small gifts like a $10 plant or a thousand dollar Australian tree! They're pretty amazing and he has a great selection. Parking is not that hard. Just drive up college street towards Jade Wok and there's plenty of metered parking north of hill street. That's a 3 min walk. Or try the lot by Bruce Lee statue ($5) or get a slice at La Sorteds and park in their $5 lot. Or go to the atm across the street at Bank of America and get validated. So many options. Of course, make it a day and get a slice of strawberry cake from the famous Phoenix Bakery and latte from Thank You Coffee.

**OK INDOOR HOUSE PLANT SELECTIONS IN CHINATOWN**…read more After eating at nearby Broadway Cuisine, we wandered into this garden shop while exploring the area. PARKING There are nearby lots, but we had street metered parking. Most likely limited, especially on weekends. AMBIANCE A typical Broadway storefront in the heart of Chinatown. The space is airy and bright, with natural light filtering in from above. PLANTS I purchased a 12" watermelon peperomia for $40. They didn't have the fiddle-leaf fig I was hoping to find. Credit cards are accepted. The overall plant selection is decent, and everything looked healthy. OVERALL The staff was pleasant but hands-off, not informative unless you ask. I didn't receive care instructions until I was practically out the door. Pricing leans medium-high (but reasonable), so this isn't a budget-friendly stop, but the quality is solid, and it's nice to support a local, family-owned business.
