Läderach Chocolates...one of the best chocolatiers in Switzerland...which also makes it oneof the most expensive chocolate shops I've ever visited in the world.
The store is bright, lovely, and very seductive with its many varieties of chocolates. The friendly Swiss ladies running the shop make it that much easier to give in, buy something, and indulge in your chocolate fantasies. That indulgence is gonna cost you $119 for a kilo, or in American terms $54/pound, or more than twice the price of See's chocolates. Or roughly $1.50 per a chocolate(smaller than See's). The quality is good, pretty darn good! I tried a variety chocolates...the pistachio marzipan is the best!
But Belgium wins this round...Belgian chocolates are better and little cheaper. Neuhaus, Godiva, Leonidas...they all beat out Läderach...sorry! But if you're traveling and want the best Swiss chocolate, it's definitely worth it. read more
