Yelp Review 2026 #96: I went to Laderach in different cities everyday while I was in Switzerland. This location is in Luzern Bahnhof and it's actually better than the location in Zürich Bahnhof. They have more selections here. There were two Frisch schoggi kinds I was trying to get but didn't find while in Zürich: Dubai chocolate, and vegan cashew. My favorite Frisch schoggi slabs I get all the time are vegan cashew (tastes and melts just like regular chocolate), hazelnut, and cornflakes. Add their Dubai chocolate to that list - you won't find it at all Laderach locations though. They have limited/ seasonal Frisch schoggi. In May, they had banana split. It's delicious so, I got a slab of that too. I got some truffles and mini mousses. I grabbed individually-wrapped chocolates for my friends. On my first day in Luzern, I went to this location twice. I first came here in the morning before going to the hotel. I was minding my own business taking pictures of the chocolates. The employee behind the counter was like "don't a picture of me". Girl, I have no reason to take your picture! I left. I came back in the afternoon for my chocolate break and that employee wasn't there anymore. I took pictures and the afternoon shift employee wasn't giving me samples left and right and was super nice and helpful. So, I bought chocolates from her. read more

The chocolate displayed here is like no other. It draws you into the store. And they give free samples too. I had to check it out. And I bought a few gift boxes to bring to friends. There are a few I saw scattered around Lucerne. Highly recommend. And help was very accommodating. read more

This place is an absolute MUST for European/Switzerland chocolates for any local or tourist. They are a bit pricey, but not any more so than a place like Sees Candy in the US. Perfect for yourself or to bring back to loved ones, these are a staple of Europe's artisan chocolate. So many to choose from, but I recommend getting a build your own baggie of chocolates if you're having a hard time deciding what to get. They also make the chocolate right in the shop, so you can be assured what you're getting is fresh and great quality. read more

Switzerland is known as the land of chocolate for good reason, and I firmly believe some of that is due to the tastiness that is Läderach. Even if you aren't a candy lover, make a point to stop by and try some of these legendary chocolates. There's something for everyone here. Our favorites were the dark almond chocolate and the raspberry white chocolate. The milk chocolates in particular melt in your mouth. These are among some of the yummiest candies I've ever had. As beautiful as they are tasty, an assortment makes a great souvenir -- or so we hoped. After taking our time hand selecting a gorgeous box of chocolates to take back home, we ended up eating the entire tray of goodies before the end of our two week jaunt throughout the country. Oops. Lesson learned: buy the chocolates on the day you are leaving, not the day you arrive. read more

Calling all chocoholics!!! Swiss chocolate is absolutely amazing..... Laderach is a family business started in 1962. By providing genuine Swiss confectionery art, such as truffles, pralines, petite pastries, and friandises. Only the finest ingredients from the best sources are used. They are located right by Asia Town on the ground level. There's an "ASIA TOWN" sign and a "Heineken" sign above it. My husband asked if they had anything with peanut butter inside and the lady just stared at him and was like "Peanut butter???, uh that is only served in America, we don't have peanut butter here." Haha.. I opted for a toffee hazelnut milk chocolate bark and my husband ordered a variety of truffles to try. Swiss chocolate is known for their milk chocolate. You should see all the happy cows they have here with endless rolling green pastures! They also have a lot of liquor filled chocolates (bourbon..etc). I could have spent an entire day here, but they are a bit pricey. We also found a 20 lbs Toblerone on display as well as a variety of other packaged chocolates. read more

This is one of several branches throughout Switzerland. It is visited by tourists but also by locals (like me). Prices might appear high at first, but compared to factory-made chocolate it is definitely worth the extra buck. They have nice Pralinés (with and without boxes) and other chocolate-related products. But we always come here for the chunks of fresh chocolate. Even though at first we weren't much into dark chocolate, that changed after trying some of these products here. They just taste different (and better) than their famous counterparts from Lindt / Cailler etc. Some of our favorites are the white "Glacier", the "Florentiner Milch" and the "Honig Milch". But the dark ones are somewhat the best. We love the "Orange Mandel", "Grand Cru Brasil", "Cabruca Baumnuss" and the lovely fruity "Brombeer Dunkel". All good stuff. You can ask for some samples if you're not sure and ask nicely. You can get it by weight or also in a nice tin can, stays fresher that way. Since their standard is equally high in any of their branches it doesn't matter you buy them here in Lucerne, at the Zurich Train Station or wherever. Highly recommended. As a souvenir, as a gift....or just to treat yourself :) read more

Oh holy Christmas - this is some of the best chocolate I've ever had! Grabbed a Christmas tree and a Santa square which were both a creamy milk chocolate surrounding a creamy hazelnut-chocolate center.... so creamy and delicious! Also selected several individual chocolates from the cases and were likewise blown away Holiday treat gingerbread Chocolate hazelnut filled round Honeycomb Each had the same scrumptious milk chocolate coating and a rich chocolaty center.......wished we'd purchased about 5 pounds more! read more

I was turned onto Laderach by my host in Zurich, and after tasting chocolate at numerous shops, Laderach was near or at the top of them all. Staff was always welcoming and patient with English-speakers and folks who were not as familiar with the chocolate lexicon in Switzerland. Huge diversity of chocolates - they made their own bars in a huge diversity of flavors, and the truffles were absolutely to die for. Well worth the cost to pick up some chocolate in this store. read more

With such limited time in Lucerne, I was on the fastest hunt possible for amazing chocolate -- FOUND IT! I purchased multiple flavors of chocolates by the hundred grams. The chocolate melts in your melt and is definitely irresistible! Must try: hazelnut bark and raspberry bark. read more

We had a couple of pieces from their glass display- all were very yummy. Docked points from review because their chocolate hearts with hazelnuts are very average at best. Not what I would expect from this shop. I bought them as gifts to give and I will actually not be doing that because they taste like I bought them at a gas station. I will be buying bars from another highly rated shop to give as gifts instead. read more

CHOCOLATE! A must visit when you're in Lucerne. Definitely go for their chocolate bark, and my favorites were all their white chocolates (which is super surprising since I'm usually a dark chocolate person). In our week in Interlaken, we probably visited this place at least 4 times. I was a bit surprised there weren't more chocolatiers in Interlaken, I mistakenly thought Switzerland was like Belgium with a chocolate shop on every corner. No matter, we were quite content with this place and never lacked for chocolate (supplemented with a variety of chocolate bars from the co op!). The big sheets of chocolate is where it's at. We tried almost every kind, and hands down the best one is dark chocolate with almonds. The truffles are good too, but nothing compared to the aforementioned favorite. Get some! read more
