I guess I'm just a little stunned that they let a patient bring a giant dog in the treatment area--and they all ran over to pet it--was not a service dog. I love animals, but the last reamaining reasonable boundaries are disappearing. We are just finishing up our treatment. We had a lot to ask for. We needed treatment to be started and completed in 6 months. I was told this would happen but to be honest I was pretty nervous. However they delivered and over delivered. The staff noticed my nerves and set up all our appointments ahead of time so I knew exactly where we were at along the way. Not only that but every single person in this office is the nicest person I've ever met. They must have rigorous customer service training or are just really good at hiring great people. Both doctors are so nice and friendly as well as all the staff. We feel like we're seeing friends when we come in. We'll be sad to finish treatment and not see them anymore but they really made this experience a great one. Highly highly recommend them! After many, many decades on this earth, I have worn my teeth down to a crisis point. Years of temporary fixes like mouthpieces have done nothing but slow the recession, so I hesitantly went with my dentist's suggestion that I visit Lyon Orthodontics. After a couple initial visits I am extremely impressed with the staff, the professionalism and the quality of care. And the biggest news of all: I now am an adult with braces. Walking in, your spirits are instantly lifted. Everyone is so darn friendly, from the front desk staff to Dr. Lyons and all his crew. I met and chatted with at least five different people who all made me feel right at home. They did some top-of-the-line x-rays and pictures that showed me 3-D images of my mouth (not pretty) and what needs to be done. While I was initially considering both Invisalign and braces, they ultimately convinced me that braces were the most effective and the best bet at this juncture. Getting the braces on was not the most comfortable experience. But again, they made it easy by chatting with me throughout the process, talking me through what needs to happen and patiently answering all my many questions. It's been a month now and so far, so good. Braces are definitely something for your mouth to get used to, but once you do they are totally manageable. I admit I was sold on thinking I would get good service but after being there for a year and then they ran a special promotion for new clients then my daughter could no longer get the appt times she was used to getting. We sign with Dr.Lyons then had several appt not with him and never notified of a new Dr. in the office. After requesting an appt to see Dr Lyons we went 3x before seeing him. Now a year later my daughters permanent wire that was so important when we signed up and necessary has come out for the second time and I cannot get it glued back without paying $95! Absurd. However now the wire is not recommended. If the technology has changed how come we were not notified about this after paying thousands of dollars. It's clearly a factory and u are just a number! And to get treated like this after referring several of my clients to them. I will never refer nor bring my second child to them. read more

The staff is so friendly and always smiling. Once you're seen by the staff in the back, they show you love and give you plenty of reasons to show off your smile. The piano keys were in need of a tune up, so I went into Lions Orthodontist to get the purely whites gleaming like the noon day sun! Mary was a comfort as the doctor removed 3 of my masticators. His smile was like a warm blanket as he took out three of my teeth with no less intensity than Mike Tyson in the first round of the tittle fight. This is not your typical orthodontic review. I'm sure Lyons provides great orthodontia, but this is not about that. On our very first visit for a FREE mouthguard for football, my kid just puked ALL OVER the hygienist and exam chair because he gagged on the impression mold. It was awful! Sorry people, It's a long one.. A few years back was the first time I met Dr. Lyons and staff... I looked blindly online for orthos in our area because we had just moved to El Dorado Hills and I didn't know many people yet. I made the appointment and was impressed with the office professionalism from the get-go, but nothing could've prepared me for this... On the day of our appointment, as we walked into the office I was ushered in by one of the sweetest office staff ladies. She introduced me to one of the many luxurious, full-body massage chairs in their magnificent safari decorated waiting room... My kids' eyes buldged out of their precious little skulls as they giggled with delight when she invited them to take part in the abundance of legit and free-ninety-free video games... As I sat in that magical chair, sipping a freshly brewed cup of coffee which was paired beautifully with freshly baked choco-chip cookies from their help-yo-self cookie/coffee bar I thought to myself, 'Holy- crap, I'm never leaving this place!'... No lie.. This was the first time in history I've ever wanted more time to sit and wait with 3 kids anywhere, let alone a doctor's office.. Fully sugared, caffeinated and realaxed we were fetched by the doc's assistant and we followed her back to have our first metting with Dr. Lyons, I immediately wished I hadn't eaten 5 cookies and dropped melted choco chip on my shirt because I wasn't expecting to be face to face with this breathtakingly beautiful specimen of a human being who looked like the most perfect combination of a real life Superman, Christian Bale, and a Calvin Klein model all mixed into one, YET, even more unbelievable, exuding from this same creature's perfectly toned, microscopic pores was the most warm, sweet, humble, silly dad personality all coupled with the rhythm of Michael and the smooth soul of Prince... (a 90's R&B jam came on over the surround speakers and he stopped talking for a sec and started singing and bounced his head and shoulders perfectly sequenced to the beat)...I know this all sounds like a damn lie--but trust me moms and pops it's 100% truth. When he and his ultra sweet assistant got down to business about my son's grill-game he was honest and very fair in his pricing. My son and I were super pumped to be under their amazing care. Dr. Lyons wrapped up our meeting, and as my son and I walked out of the room, I. could. not. believe. my. ears... Over the sound system my signature song, "Oh Sheila!" by Ready for the World blasted ***(in case you missed it, my name is Sheila)***.. I turned around shaking my head in total disbelief and looked back at Dr. Lyons as he flashed me a smile and started dancing (pretty sure it wasn't coincidence and that they put that song on for me)... I hit that beat and broke it down as I boogie superstarred my big ole mom jeaned bootay out of that office. That night when my husband got home, I told him all about it. He went to the next appointment to see if I was exaggerating... His words exactly, "it just ain't right for a man to be that perfect, I bet he has webbed toes or something.. NOBODY gets that lucky!".. I do believe Dr. Lyons is my husband's first man crush, but don't tell my husband I said so. So.. fast forward to today and our son's grill turned out rad. I have not even committed to this office yet but just having to get appointments scheduled is a headache. Starting to question if this is worth moving forward. If i am paying $6000 for my daughter's braces, i expect to be treated better. Left multiple VM; seems no one answers the phone during the day ended up in phone tag. Sent a few messages online, still no calls or appointments. When i finally was able to get someone on the phone, they were not very accommodating and understanding of my schedule and the appointments i needed. For the amount of money we pay for these services, i expect better customer service. The lady was getting frustrated with me on the phone, i can tell by the tone of her voice!!! read more

They treated us as valued patients, and were so nice and professional. I was so impressed that I am signing my family up as patients. Today I experienced something absolutely amazing. I walked into the Orthodontics to pick up a bottom retainer (that was made for me in 4 days), and then was told that I should get a top retainer made until I have time to schedule an appointment to talk to Dr. Lyons and possibly order an Invisalign. Out of the kindness of her heart, the lady who makes these retainers, made me a top one within ONE hour and told me to not worry about the price, since I already paid for my bottom retainer and the top one is just "temporary". He was so happy after that he can't wait to go back. I am SUPER happy with Lyons Orthodontics!!! My oldest daughter got braces here, and now I'm here with my other daughter and I'm just as happy!!! The front staff is amazing and so nice! It is always all smiles here! My kids love coming here, even though they are getting work done because of all of the fun they have here. There is always a fun theme or contest going on, arcade games, and fresh baked cookies!!! My kids love the cookies!!! Dr Lyons is super sweet and FUN!!!! He knows what he is doing, and has a lab onsite so he was able to make my daughter's expander right there and save me time! When my son needed braces his mouth was severely overcrowded and the first orthodontist I went to wanted to pull teeth. I was very Leary and feeling it just wasn't right. So I did a consultation with Lyons. Not only did he confirm that we did not have to pull teeth he confirmed Cameron my son only needed 8 mm of space but yet pulling teeth create 16 mm space which was unnecessary. It would have shortened smile and not been what's best. With the newest technology Lyons Ortho was able in three months to have all of Cameron's teeth fitting in perfectly it was like a miracle! I honestly did not know if it could be done, but you can always pull teeth later if it doesn't work Dr Merriman assured me and we can try this new technology to start -- it was a great solution! Now I'm with my second child at Lyons. Cameron's perfect and gorgeous smile are unbelievable! And it only took two years I've heard other people kids braces are on for three or more years which tells me they did something wrong. I strongly recommend Lyons!
