In all my life I never had a dentist that I looked forward to the visit. That all changed when Dr. V took over the office. I have had three crowns replaced and they are still going strong and fit perfectly. He uses the strongest materials and does not use metal. He is very attentive to your needs and always makes sure you are completely numb in the area he works on. He checks constantly on your comfort level. I can tell when he is working on my teeth that he is a perfectionist, checking and double checking everything. I have had zero pain when he works on my teeth and that is the comfort we should all expect. His staff is exceptional, attentive, and the best all around. This was just an amazing experience…read more I had a terrible accident. I fell while climbing a fence in the rain and broke my front teeth as well as the one next to them. I mean they were smashed. I panicked, I cried. I went home to my girl and was ashamed. First thing in the morning I began to look up reviews and prices for dentists. I researched, I asked people for recommendations. My girlfriend was told by her professor that Dr. Vignali has been her family dentist (4 children) for years and that she highly recommends his office. WOW I called around 10 am and they gave me a 2 oclock appointment which I was happy to except. I am not insured (despite working 80 hrs per week with 4 jobs), so price was an obvious concern. This place was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either (for some reason a dentist on Broadway in Downtown Albany, whose prices were half of most others and whose reviews claimed the office was dirty didn't make me want to trust them with my front teeth). I waited for about five minutes. The staff was so comforting from the assistant to the secretaries to the Dentist himself. They made the worst experience of my life much easier. The office was meticulously clean. They had the latest equipment, including a flat screen TV that showed you the x rays as soon as they were taken with a cool little x-ray gun and not the big machine I am used to. When the Dr. gave my the anesthetic it was painless. The procedure was also painless, and quick. Before I knew it I had nice presentable teeth. They were also very good at educating me on what they were doing, how I should care for my new teeth, and what to expect in the future. They did not try to sell me on a bunch of needless procedures and work like some dentists have in the past. Overall, I recommend this office very highly. They made a world of difference for me through this terrible mishap.

Dr Vignali went slowly and explained exactly what he was doing every step of the way which relaxed me tremendously. He is knowledgeable about TMJ issues, unlike otherwise dentists Ive been to. I needed the application of ceramic that matched my teeth. They matched them perfectly! They also had to do some filing down of the new ceramic material on my teeth. He carefully and checked my bite and made adjustments multiple times to make sure teeth were touching everywhere evenly. I am happy to smile again.

Aspen Dental advertisers $28 X-ray and examination Nationwide…read more My first visit to Aspen Dental March 26th 2026. I was given and full frontal x-ray and examination. After the procedure explanation and dental plan and billing. They explain that I was beginning to have paradigmos disease. They would build my insurance $20O0 and myself would have to pay $200 out of pocket. I explain to office manager that I have never paid out of pocket Other than co-pay. And I have some of the best insurance as a New York State Employee under CSEA Dental Program. So I declined any further procedures. I soon contacted Upstate Dental. They quickly upfront explain to me that my insurance was not going to pay for any x-rays being that I had already had x-rays done. And I needed to have Aspen Dental forward The full frontal x-rays two Upstate Dental. I did so immediately went to Aspen Dental @ 979 Central Avenue suite 400. Signed information release forms to be emailed to Upstate Dental. When I went to Upstate Dental they had the x-rays. They kept emphasizing that I had very good insurance with New York State and they could proceed with any procedure that was needed. On May 2nd 2026 I received a bill from Aspen Dental for $164.00 I contacted Martha in billing. I explained to her that I was not informed that my insurance company was not going to pay for the x-rays. If I had been informed I would have been able to refuse any procedures that Aspen Dental were providing. I am on FMLA at half pay and 164.00 is a burden to me. She explained that each and every Aspen Dental is individually owned and have their own rules and regulations. I asked about the $28 full examination and x-rays. She explained to me that that was for people who did not have insurance. That is not disclosed in their Nationwide advertisement. While on hold on a telephone one of their advertisements says they offer Peace of mind billing up front full disclosure of any billing and procedures. Yet and still I was not advised that my insurance company was not going to pay for x-rays. She then inform me that you probably could negotiate with the Central Avenue office I asked for the name of the office manager Alexis. I called and left a detailed voicemail and got no response in return. Upstate Dental was forthcoming and transparent and explain to me that x-rays had to be transferred. And my insurance company was not going to pay it. Aspen Dental did not ask for my previous x-rays from Dr. Mustafa Sabai @ 165 Manning boulevard Albany New York. Knowing that my insurance company was not going to pay for the x-rays there was no full disclosure, transparency, or explanation in the procedure and billing meeting with the office manager @ Aspen Dental 979 Central Avenue on March 26th. Aspen Dental has shown predatory practices by Nationwide advertising that you can get an examination & X-rays for $28. When that is not true. They were not up front transparent with the disclosure that my insurance company was not going to pay for the full frontal x-rays. Although they were very much aware of this fact. I find that Aspen Dental is deceptive in their office billing and business practices. They practice predatory senior billing$$$!

This is an incredible practice and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Doriot…read more I am tremendously afraid of the dentist and didn't have my wisdom teeth removed as a teenager because they weren't causing me pain. When a tooth recently cracked, and I wanted to get a crown on it, I needed to have an impacted wisdom tooth removed so the crown could sit properly. Not surprisingly, my dental anxiety showed up immediately and in full force the moment I found out I was going to have to have not one, but three wisdom teeth removed. And this was after having a preventative root canal performed on the tooth that needed a crown. So a root canal, then the removal of three wisdom teeth, and then crown - proof that all bad things come in threes! Or. So. I. Thought. I went into my appointment today at 8 am and by 8:20 am the procedure had begun and by 9:30 it was finished. The person who recommended Dr. Doriot to me had all four of his wisdom teeth removed by him as well and said he never felt any pain during the recovery period. I thought this was perhaps a small exaggeration, after all, how can they rip teeth out of your head and have it be painless...especially after the drugs wear off. But, surprisingly, this was exactly my experience as well. I am writing this review about 12 hours after the procedure and I feel such indescribable relief due to having the procedure completed and being in no pain at any point in the process. The cherry on top of this perfect dental experience? Dr. Doriot called me on my cell phone a few minutes ago to ask me how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had about future dental care (of which I had many). I thanked him for the kind gesture and he said that he "can't sleep until he knows his patients are doing well." It is so readily apparent how much Dr. Doriot cares about both his patients and the quality of his work. In a world shifting to tele-health and requiring that doctors track their time in the way that lawyers handle their billable hours, Dr. Doriot is a refreshing throwback to a bygone age when the primary concern of medical practitioners was more about the patient experience rather than the vice grip placed on them by complying with the never-ending requirements placed on them by most insurance companies today. TL;DR: Had three wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Doriot 12 hours ago. I am a big baby, at no point was in any pain at all (fingers crossed) and Dr. Doriot called me personally to check in and answer any and all questions I have. I've seen Dr.  Bayoumy as a patient a few times now and he's been phenomenal. So when my son needed a specialist to check his wisdom teeth I didn't even hesitate at requesting a referral for Dr. B for him as well.  Unfortunately, with my own appointments and now my son's, the office staff has dropped the ball too many times. Focusing only on the current issue with my son; not only did his dentist have to send the referral twice to even get them to schedule the appointment in the first place, the day after confirming his appointment (almost a month after making the appt) I received a follow up confirmation text for a completely different appointment time. When I called to ask why I was getting a confirmation text for a different time, I was told "I don't know, do you want the new appointment, or no?" completely dismissing my inquiry as to why nobody called me to request or confirm the reschedule. As to not further delay him getting checked, I agreed.  Less than 24 hours later, at 7:30am the day of the appointment, I received a text asking if I had a copy of the referral. I explained that I did not, because it was sent directly before they would even let me schedule the appointment in the first place. I was then told they didn't have it and would "try to get it" before his appointment that I've now had to take a whole day off of work for. I'd had this happen at my original appointment which delayed my appointment by almost a week so I told them to cancel the appointment.  I've been a medical receptionist for 3 years. This is not only inconsiderate, but honestly just flat out poor patient care. Again, Dr. Bayoumy is amazing, which is why I've tolerated the consistent incompetence by office staff in regards to insurance, scheduling, and communication, but I'm afraid we will be seeking care elsewhere.  I'm sure losing one or two patients won't hurt you guys (not my intention), but as previously stated, as someone who works in healthcare, it's careless and just disappointing.

She was reported to our insurance company and now that we see she is still in practice we need to file more serious complaints when we have time. There were very serious complaints with 1 visit and 2 people. Her behavior was beyond scary and we still have the records of everything. Including what came out of her mouth! This person, who somehow is allowed to practice, tried to convince a man to pull perfect teeth without crowded teeth, disease, or reason. As we spoke to others about a horrible crazy dentist, they knew of this office and many people have had terrible outcomes. There is a history here.
