Being fairly close…read moreto work and local I gave them a shot - and so far I've been very happy with my experience. Often times you associate the doctor or dentist with a negative connotation, a very gloomy ominous rooms that give you the chills and just wait for something bad to happen. Not at Dr. McMahns. They have a relatively small practice that to me personally doesn't give off the whole "I'm at the doctors feeling" more of a comfortable dentists office. Nice hard wood floors that lead to a well lite room that doesn't give you the creepy feel. My dental hygienist Erin and Tina have been great, very welcoming, kind, easy to talk to and make the experience worth going to the dentist. The whole process doesn't take very long... As long as you've been flossing like they recommend ;) Today I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. McMahon, for my regular hygienist was out and he was a very nice, down to earth, very welcoming, apologetic (for some of the sensitive areas that he came across while cleaning) and excellent dentist. When I was first recommended I lucked out and went to visit and scheduled my initial consolidation after not visiting a dentist after my braces some 5 years ago. The secretary asked if I'd like to be placed on a cancellation list just in case anyone called out and low and behold they called me the following day to come in. They are a very responsive and welcoming practice and I can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in search of a good dentist.

I told her "Victoria" that I thought I already paid, and she said I didn't. So, I paid again. After going through my credit card statements for about an hour I found that indeed I had paid back in September. I called back and told her that I have the charge for $254 on my credit card and gave her the date. She then argued with me like I was lying and said it wasn't in her ledger. I said I didn't care it was on my credit card statement, and I thought that threatening me because they are incompetent bookkeepers was wrong. She hung up on me. I called back and she said she hung up because I was loud. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said I would have to wait until tomorrow. Horrible place since Dr.McMahon left. They actually charged me $350 for a cleaning and x-rays. Ridiculous!!! I will be speaking to the supervisor tomorrow and putting a stop on my second payment.

The new main dentist, rhymes with lox, has the personality of a greedy rock. Lipnick was great, the reason why I stayed with the practice for so long; with him gone, the practice has lost all patient centered focus, it's now $, $ and more $. After going over my annual dental insurance limit and being hit with a big bill, I paid in installments only to find out that during Covid, when I lost my job, the practice had referred my account to a collection agency - they call it an "accelerator." Nice euphemism for we don't give a shit about you, give us our money. Once I learned of the practices' money grubbing ways to a 25 year client, I gladly stepped away and hope others do as well in the hope of actually finding dentists with just a sliver of compassion, understanding and heart. You won't find it at Albany Dental Team!

But the crown popped off, it was more than 5 years old since the original implant. The original crown was with another practitioner, but Dr K was able to clean and prepare the crown for reimplantation. Less than two day wait to be seen, less than 5 minute wait for the actual appointment in office. After approximately 10 minutes, my problem was solved-- the crown was re-cemented in place. I threw out the gummies. I use GEHA high option for insurance, and have never been disappointed with my share of the cost for services. GEHA allows three cleanings per year, and I have zero co-pay. I know how hard it can be to find a dentist, so I wanted to share what I could!…read more I have been looking for a new dentist recently, but everywhere I call in the Albany area is not accepting new patients. When I developed tooth pain earlier this week, I gave Aspen Dental a call and was pleased they were able to see me. They even offered a same day appointment! The only thing I found strange about my initial call to them was that they asked if I would also like to schedule cleanings for family members, which seemed a little "salesy" and was not a priority in the moment. When I arrived the receptionists were welcoming and the waiting room was comfortable and bright. I arrived 15 minutes early and they took me right away. I first had X-rays done with a very friendly technician who then took me to the dentist's chair. In the chair, I performed in-take paperwork on an iPad and had my blood pressure taken with a device that attaches to the wrist. I was impressed by how quickly the dentist saw me after I completed the forms on the iPad. He examined my teeth and the source of pain, which I had gone in suspecting was a cavity, but he ruled that out. He suspected my pain was likely some source of trauma to my gum and got me scheduled for a cleaning later next month. One of my favorite things about the visit was that there was a small tv above the chair where the dentist can review your x-rays with you. I appreciated being able to be seen so quickly to receive reassurance that the pain was not a sign of a cavity or structural damage to the tooth or root. I will update this review after my cleaning, but for now I felt they made a good impression and I look forward to returning.
