what a nightmare. i feel bad for everyone in orlando without a car. forget about how crowded tha busses are now that they've trimmed their routes down. forget about how so few of the stops are covered in such a rainy state as this. nevermind how every move the company has made in the past year was motivated by the bad economy and hence only dealt with cutting cost as opposed to improving customer service or efficiency. disregard all the times the bus drove right past you. who can blame them for not being a bank and having change for your purchase? i mean, what kind of business has change for tha customers? my rating is based solely on this: i think in all tha times i've ridden tha bus, i've had maybe 1 or 2 drivers who weren't rude. what a fabulous reminder, on my way to work at my own job, how customer service is a lost cause here in florida. i mean, what are we, tha consumers, gonna do? ride another bus? what other bus? take a taxi and pay ten times as much? lynx drivers are completely aware of the situation and know very well how many people in orlando NEED them just to get by. so why would they bother with customer service? i doubt they get paid enough to care about it. there's no accountability. nobody's watching the cameras to catch an employee, they're watching the cameras to make sure tha riders are keeping in line, if anyone's watching at all. a lynx customer is as good to lynx as livestock is to a farmer and is treated with less respect. i now present a collection of my most memorable experiences with lynx by quoting their drivers. - "your mother." - "i guess you're just [S.O.L.] buddy" - "you can't use that transfer on this bus, it's for the same route" - "i'm not a tour guide, have a seat and pull the cord when you want to get off" - "we gotta make a detour so i can get my lunch, people, it won't take too long" (followed by pulling off the scheduled route and stopping in front of some random house so some other lady could bring out the busdriver's lunch. gee, it only added 15 minutes.) so good luck. if you're visiting orlando, rent a car. read more

Ridiculous simply ridiculous. Orlando does not care for anyone but tourist. Disney and universal going to resorts buses come every 5-10 minutes while buses to rural areas come every hour. This bus system provided by the city of Orlando for free transportation to and from the downtown area for the Rolling Stones stones concert last night. We parked in downtown and took the shuttle bus do the fabulous Florida citrus bowl and the shuttle bus very efficiently took us back The bus was clean, ice cold and the drivers courteous. Even though LYNX buses are definitely nicer and cleaner than SEPTA, I've found that not only do they take quite a while to get places, but that their maps are often confusing (especially when traveling a particular route for the first time), and that the drivers often see fit to pull over and stop for coffee in the middle of a route. Seriously? That should be leverage for everyone on the bus to get off as well. On a more positive note, however, they offer free transfers between buses that are valid within an hour and a half of boarding the first bus. Not my first choice for getting around the city, but when I need to get places I can't otherwise get to without LYNX, it does the trick. read more

Worst public transportation system ever.i have experienced two drivers who reeked of alcohol. They can never be on time.i have come across just one driver witth common courtesy to the public everyone else is rude beyond imagination. If you are new to orlando i suggest you use uber, lyft, a regular taxi or orlandos trolley system.the trolleys are a little packed but the drivers are courteous and i have yet to detect alcohol on those drivers. This bus system sucks. They're never on time. Perfect example. I get off at work at 5pm. The 51 is suppose to be here by 5:25pm. Never shows. The next bus is 6:18pm. It's 6:36 pm now and I'm still waiting on the 5:25 pm bus. Wtf is wrong with this system. I don't understand. If uber was cheaper I'd take them all the time. They should learn a thing from uber like tracking where the bus is. The amount of time you waste waiting and riding the bus is ridiculous. Every single damn bus is either way early or late. Some buses only run once an hour and some don't run on Sundays. Some drivers are really rude and even if you report them they won't do anything. Nobody takes the bus unless it's their last F***ing option!!! Service sucks. Buses are too cold... YOU CAN GET ROBBED ON THE BUS. I have been a victim. LYNX DID NOTHING!!!! Any city with as much tourism as Orlando, Florida has should have usable public transportation. I just checked a schedule, to get a 12 minute car ride is a 2 hour 50 minute bus trip. Unbelievable! There must be a government deal with rental cars and taxi companies or something, because that is really poor service. Visitors really need to have their own transportation in this city. Don't hire this company if you're in a hurry to get somewhere( for ex- cruise ship). You will get the run around when you call for pickup, they'll even quit answering their phones!! Other passengers had the same issue. Took Lynx downtown then to Disney World. Then took cab to hotel. Also rode Lymmo free bus downtown. SunRail opens next year. They have a new transit-rail hub downtown (where you also catch the Lymmo shuttle). $2 gets you anywhere with a free transfer good for 90 minutes. A steal if you are not in a hurry and want to see the real Orlando. Drivers were helpful. Call the Lynx customer service to plan your trip (or use the on line Goodgle system). With all the complaints about the slow Mears service (and the $68 plus trip the limo driver wanted to go to the airport from my hotel on Bonnet Creek, I am a Lynx fan. read more

It makes no sense running bus 50 all night on a sunday when every other bus be stop running after 9:15 pm. Especially for people like me who works till late on a sunday. A matter of fact what bus is going to be in downtown after when 50 comes back to the station and how do people get to the bus station to take 50 when all they rely is the bus??? Drivers are RUDE and come either way too early or way too late, and when you call the 841-Lynx number more than half the time they won't actually tell you if you've missed it or not they'll just tell you when it was scheduled. Lynx is TERRIBLE. The app is Terrible. I use Lynx to get to work and today I stood at the bus stop for over 30 min wondering where my bus was. I was forced to call an Uber so I wouldnt be late and lose my job. So I decided to call lynx so see what was going on and after 25 min of waiting to talk someone the operator just tells me no one can get to the phone and told me to call back. So yeah Lynx is waste of time and money. You might lose your job messing around with them. read more

The drivers needs to be told by supervisor how to follow directions to pick up customers at the address given by the customers. Is it against company rules for drivers put their phone down while loading and unloading customers. Or getting customers to (doctors) appointments on time. What happens when customers are late? Do the driver brush it off and nothing is done about it? The The customer has a good reason for the doctors appointment. Maybe there is no training for drivers to provide on time to destination. I am presently riding #304. On both ways (northbound and southbound) I got the same driver. She had to ask the passengers both ways where to go ! How on earth did this person get the job? Both ways the bus arrived 20 minutes late. The standards need to be at a higher standard. I will think twice before taking this route again. read more

I worked there for 2 years, I read all this complaints and it makes me sad I have been a driver 20 plus years and loved it, I enjoyed the passengers and loved staying on time. I was fired after having knee surgery and taking longer to heal then expected, I had a doctors note not to go back to driving and they fired me. Its ok it worked out well for me but sadly they fire a lot of drivers in fact they look for reasons to fire them. They get a state kick back for training drivers so they have a constant training class, so to give these NEW drivers a job they have to move out older drivers. Sadly the newer drivers don't know the routes and the procedures they are learning and about the time they get good at it and can run pretty close to on time their fired. read more

They are always late! Today I waited over an hour for a bus 42... and then when he came finally he was late as well... I asked for a transfer ticket but because it takes so long for it to move and I needed to get on the next bus 41 at the Intl airport.. and it was late as well and the driver got off and went on break as there was a mob of people waiting for the bus (he arrived late AND went on break for 10mins). As he came back from the break finally... My transfer ticket was already past due.. FML... this company does this time and time again. Also it is VERY cold on every Lynx bus I get into. By far the WORST public transportation. Buses are either early or late every single time, and getting around anywhere takes far longer than it should. A 20 minute drive to work takes me 2 hours by bus, and 9 times out of 10 the drivers are completely rude and treat you like filth. I've ridden public transportation in Portland, Boston, Melbourne, Sydney, Los Angeles etc. Lynx is the worst. The first driver we had acted enraged, honking, yelling and so on. Everyone on the bus was shaking their heads and calling him an asshole under their breath. His treatment of a man in a wheelchair and his daughter was shocking. He had a fit trying to get the chair locked in. He was impatient and downright rude. He treated the man's daughter horribly, not to mention everyone else. She exited the bus calling him expletives in Spanish. I really wished I'd known Spanish at that point. Basically this driver was a threat to everyone on that bus and other vehicles. Although not as severe, our other drives with Lynx were stressful. Another male driver sat on the horn for 1/8 of the hour drive. He would tailgate the hell out of other vehicles and slam on the horn, wondering why they would go slower and get more stressed. We had one driver that didn't act hopped up on speed. She drove safely. We were shocked. I don't think I ever want to go back to Orlando. read more

They are always late and on top of that the bus drivers are rude and don't care for customer service. Just because they drive us around doesn't mean they need to not care if they are late. This is a public bus service, pretty much CUSTOMER SERVICE. And they have nothing of that sort. If you tell the bus drivers they are late they will purposely stay at a stop and be even more late (this has personally happened to me) I told the bus driver that she was late and she said "well then I am going to make you even more late then". If they say they will be at a certain stop at a certainty time then they need to BE THERE! Just because people who ride the bus use it because they don't have cars does not mean that the Lynx bus service needs to treat the people, who PAY them AND keep them with a paycheck every month, like they are the lowest class. Have some customer service classes Lynx, and get you buses to arrive on time! And if they arrive early don't just let the buses leave the bus stop! Leave at the appropriate time! Everyone involved with Lynx Public Transportation should be ashamed of themselves, especially those in charge. There is a 85% chance that your bus will be late, and a 60% chance that it won't even show up, consequently leaving you with a 75% chance that your transfer will expire. This is by far the most worse service I have ever received in my lifetime. The bus drivers are some of the most rude, unprofessional people I've ever met. That's excluding the fact that they drive RECKLESSLY. I literally flew out of my seat just yesterday. It takes me an hour and 45 minutes to get from the west side of Orlando to the east. The buses are usually crowded and filth infested. I've filed so many complaints and nothing's seemed to have changed. I've failed a number classes for attendance and been fired due to Lynx's horror service.They have some of the most RACIST and unprofessional security guards at the Lynx Central Station, There's hardly anyone to speak with at the reception desk, and the bathrooms are FILTHY. If you enjoy paying 2 dollars per ride (Nearly 5 dollars a day) for this kind of service, you'd LOVE Lynx Public Transportation. If you work late, you're screwed because the buses stop running typically early. Everyone who rides the bus is poor and only deals with this because they HAVE to. Nobody speaks up, because NOTHING will be done about it. I plan to speak with the Mayor very soon. I'm born and raised here in Orlando, and I am used to public transit. Is cursing at passengers tolerated by Lynx? It happened to me. A driver gets upset if you bring up that he was an hour late. Blames traffic, and I say "yeah, whatever." I get cursed at just for that. Other drivers close the door on you when walking up to the bus, and they know you as well. Customer service needs to be completely revamped with this company. Lynx is the worst public transportation system ever. They are always late not dependable at all. I have smelled alcohol on two drivers breath and yes I'm sure it was drivers not passengers because I made up a question to ask driver and sure enough when he answered me he smelled like a brewery. I use Lynx due to being epileptic but in all honesty after smelling alcohol on driver I feel more secure in my driving abilities even if I had a seizure. I have never seen such a large group of people that are so rude. I understand they are that way because they are just miserable people but a little show of courtesy is in order when u work in a public place. That concept is lost on everyone at Lynx. If your new to Orlando I suggest calling uber, lyft a regular taxi or use Orlando trolley system it's a bit crowded but drivers have common courtesy. I have been riding Lynx since moving to Orlando due to disabilities which have kept me from driving. I am now seeking any alternative to Lynx after experiencing the last straw on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. I have enjoyed eating at Champs Cafe inside Lynx Central Station because I like the shrimp basket and the vending machines on a hot day. Travel Lynx is absolutely untrustworthy and unprofessional in the way they do business today. I have been using them the last 10 years and today they are the worst. Two times in a row, not only were they late, but they didn't even know they were supposed to pick us up. Then they were late in sending somebody out, so clearly they did not tell the truth as to when a person would actually arrive. They put me on hold on the phone for a lengthy period and then had another person pick up and ask for all the information again. How rude and inconsiderate. They couldn't care less about my inconvenience, as they had a flurry of calls to get to. The reviews testify to their lack of consistency and reliability. You're rolling the dice as to whether you'll have a good experience or not. Personally, I don't like to gamble that a company will do what they promise. Don't say you weren't fore-warned. read more

Orlando is trying to be a cosmopolitan city. In that vein they should revamp their bus schedules to coordinate with Sun Rail, and connecting buses. Coming from New York, this transportation system is the second worst I've encountered. There are routes that should run every 15 minutes during rush hour that only run every hour (443, 13, 51), and routes that do not connect with any other bus you may need. I should not have to take three buses to get to a destination. Added to this, the Sun Rail leaves you in a place where you end up having to take a bus to get to where you want to go. You need more drivers? Offer incentives. And get buses that have more than one temperature control. When it's cold outside I don't want to sit on a bus that is freezing. One last thing among many: get rid of the cash machines, and look into getting the system like Metrocard. It would take minutes off boarding, and allow people access tickets after the office has closed at 8 pm. read more

I have never encountered a city bus system as badly organized as Lynx. For instance bus 105 heads east on Colonial but once pass Pine Hills Road it only makes a couple of stops before it arrives at John Young Parkway. So in order to get to a business in between those stops you have to get off the bus around Pine Hills Rd and then catch bus 48 that will get you between Mercy and John Young Parkway even though the 105 drives right past but does not stop. And the same on the return. Today I am at a bus stop wanting to catch the 105 and here it comes and keeps going. I actually had to catch the 48 and ride 4 blocks to catch up with the 105 and hop on it there. This is crazy! Also, Lynx buses do not go into the neighborhoods they just stay on the main streets. Well, the people that ride the buses are in the neighborhoods. So if a person lives in a large sub-division or large apartment complex they might end up walking a mile just to catch a bus on a main street. Again, badly organized scheduling. I hope to not have to ride the bus in Orlando again. It is a nightmare and it seems no one cares. Do you need someone to route your schedules? I am available. read more

i have been here for over 5 year with my husband and we use the bus alot... they r never on time never ... im talking about bus 37 right now but dont get me wrong most of the others r always late or way to early never on time ...bus 37 is the worse far for god sakes they r either 10 mins early so they can sit in t park or at the florida mall. the drivers r rude and most of the time never ever stop at their stops just roll on thru and after they see u running for it they stop way ahead for u when it was their fauth for not stopping at the dang stop... they might as well stop running bus 37 it is worthless and not dependable in the least .. so if ur coming to orlando take a taxi paying the taxi or uber cab is so must better than ever trying to wait and wait and wait for the dang bus here .. i have used several different bus systems in the past and this is the worst by far.. so if ur using this service be ready to wait an hour or longer ... its the facts . they suck .. read more
