I did not tip and here is why. - nail color is streaky, lumping, uneven, and has some bubbles - nail tech dragged the file so hard against my nail she caught skin and I bled - sloppy sloppy work - she didnt keep my nails in the UV light long enough - the polish still had the soft sticky feel to it - she ruined the shape of my nails (i wanted her to shorten my nails but keep the shape) - the acrylic was laid bumping and she didnt take the time to fix her mistakes - salon was disorganized, cramped and unclean My nail tech was an older lady. I have been going here for a while, I had a HORRIBLE encounter with one of the managers (Vanna) in September when I went to get my nails done for my birthday. She was extremely rude and had negative energy. I was so disappointed with my service that day, especially since it was my birthday I was never going to return. Luckily, one of my friends told me she goes to the same nail salon and her nail tech is very nice (Jenny). I decided to go back and try it out again. Jenny is the bestttt! She enjoys what she does and makes every appointment worth it. I've been going to her faithfully since October. I recently had an event to attend and Jenny was not available so I had to be serviced by Vanna. I was not looking forward to it but I'm glad things happened the way it did. She was STILL VERY RUDE in the beginning when she started doing my nails but once I told her that she was previously rude to me and is doing it again we talked it out she eased up a little. Although she never apologized for her rudeness, and she only changed her demeanor because I said something, I've put it behind me. But ANYWAY she slayed my nails, well the color at least. (She did keep pulling my hands and telling me I was not dipping correctly. This NEVER happened with Jenny. She also was a bit harsh on my cuticles) I got a mood color in dip (casual chic) and it came out great! I have been getting dip since October with Jenny but this was my first time trying the mood color. I've attached pictures! I came here for a dip powder manicure and regular pedicure. I do not recommend this place. Here's why: 1. Toe nails were not painted well. Paint was left on my skin and not cleaned up. 2. Tech said I had an ingrown nail which I never felt/thought I had. She cut it deep and on an angle. Now it's infected leaking pus. I saw this happen to another reviewer. She attached a photo. This hurts. 3. Manicure was extremely quick. No massage really and didn't cut my cuticles. When I asked why, my tech said it was because with a dip powder you don't need one. Um? She offered to do it when I brought it to her attention, I said yes. It was aggressive and fast. Pulling and tugging my cuticles. 4. I wanted the same nail polish color for hands and feet. My tech said she had the color available in both. When she went to find the matching powder, she took a while shuffling trying to find it and ended up picking up a similar-looking pink one. She was with another tech and they were talking and laughing about it. I assume they were laughing at me and how the color was close enough and I wouldn't notice. 5. On the wall it says that a dip powder manicure and regular pedicure costs $50. When I went to the counter, she said I owed $65. I didn't question it because I didn't want to come off as difficult. I also saw it costs $5 to remove nail polish. They add charges wherever they can get them. 6. The chairs are dingy, old, worn out. The massage function is janky, the mechanism loud and catching as it massages making it very comfortable. 7. My hand nails didn't come out badly. They look nice, but it's day 4 and now they are cracking within. 8. This place has the reputation of hustling you for money. I felt that and see that. Like I said. I went on 12/23/2020 to get my nails done. I stopped going to this place about 5 yrs ago because they rushed me to take another customer. Recently, on my birthday, I decided to give them another try. That was my biggest mistake. First of all, I paid $32 for a basic pedicure (soap, cut down nails, scrub), there is a $2 up charge if you use a credit or debit card, and it was done in under 30 minutes. I'm disappointed because I spent the whole time complaining about how painful the experience was and the technician did not listen to me. On 12/26/2020 I went to urgent care and found out I have an infection in my big toe. The doctor said it could be due to lack of proper sanitation. I Informed my friend who recently became licensed to do nails and she that the moment there is an open wound they are supposed to stop doing your nails and as you can see, she continued to paint them. Please understand that this place is not clean. They do not care about anything except for money. Covid-19 review Really good protocol for covid ! I gave 3 stars because although my technician was good, my sisters was so rude. Upon entering no one told us to get a color and when my sister sat down the technician harshly said where's your color! And then said go downstairs and get it. Her tone was rude and she didn't speak to her (and that's okay) ... the time she spoke was to ask her age and my sister answered. she then proceeded to speak her native language. Although we couldn't understand we can only assume she was talking about her and since she wasn't pleasant who knows if it was good or bad. On multiple occasion she threw her phone on the table and even said stupid- my sister looked at her and she laughed it off saying ha ha ha phone is funny...Getting your nails done should be comfortable and relaxing not hostile and uncomfortable. read more

So unfortunately, they don't do tanning- their awning out-front says it as does their website and I traveled there on my only time off to tan and they said they don't provide the service. The man at the desk was very dismissive and shooed me away when I was looking through their book of services at the front to inquire about wanting to get another service done, so that my time wasn't completely wasted, but it seemed as if he didn't have the time to answer me or my mother. I love it here! For starters, they have their own parking lot in the rear which is a joy because they are so many establishments in the area. First thing I notice when I walk is this simple fact the place is clean. No matter how busy or crowded, this place is always clean. Members of the staff are so attentive and family orientated. Everyone is greeted and treated fairly. I usually go to Anne for my full set acrylics and I am in love. #AnneTakeMyMoney I love everything about the experience. Personally, I like Anne and glowing personality. She's very big on customer service. My heart leaves so content after my appointment because the shape is perfect ; never too thick, there's no polish or thin dried acrylic pieces on my skin and no polish anywhere near my cuticles. Tried Lynn's nails after my manager went here and saw Anne. She did a white gel manicure and after 4 days it was still white. I was impressed! Her nails were also shaped well and clean. So I decided to make an appointment with Anne. They definitely seem more likely to service you quicker with an appointment so I definitely recommend doing so. Anne was friendly and funny. She took her time and I really appreciate that. She even did 3 coats of my gel polish color which was great. I came here because my regular lash tech was on vacation and a friend suggested. I had a few left over lashes so she took them off and did a full set. I will say that I was taken last minute and she stayed after close for me which was very considerate and it was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately these lashes just weren't good. They were applied pretty much on my water line so they really irritated my eyes through the first day and night. The inside corner of my left eye shed a lot faster than everything else which looked stupid. I dont like their hospitality. They act very stuck up and dont like to say hello. The owner is extremely rude.They are tip hungry and stare at your hands before you can tip them. Also, one of there techs pushed my tip back to me because he felt like I did not give him enough which I felt was very rude. After almost a 10 min wait, they told me it would be an jhou wish because everyone was busy. I get my nails done by Vanna and she's really great. she's very professional, takes her time and explains the process to you. I do dip powder with her and they look flawless everytime. she does them very well and they last over 2-3 weeks, looking just as good as the beginning. my nails have grown longer than ever and they grow strong, and she doesn't have to file them down so much since the dip powder is less harsh on the nails. This was my first time at Lynn's I usually go to another nail salon down the street but I wanted to try something different. I was greeted when I entered the salon and asked the service I needed and color. I got a regular pedicure and gel mani. I waited about 5 minutes until I was moved to a chair to start my mani. I had Anne do my nails she was very personable and made sure to ask if everything was how I wanted it to be. She moved quickly (I was in and out) although she seemed to be worried about her appointments that were waiting she did a nice job. The atmosphere of the salon was nice, it seemed clean and maintained. You can tell the nail techs have been working together forever they were talking, cracking jokes and mingling with their regular customers. The only thing I wish was for the edges to be more cleaned up. Otherwise I'm happy about the look. They are very glossy and cute. I payed 45$ which is your average price for nail work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I was a first and last-time customer in the area and had made an appointment earlier that day. Arrived on time. Gentleman greeted me and started process to remove gel in preparation for French gel, then directed me to my technician, Vanna. If you want to be treated RUDELY, IGNORED, TALKED OVER AND FLAGRANTLY DISRESPECTED, Vanna is the one for you. She took phone calls, checked phone, conversed extremely loud with other technicians the majority of the time spent working on my nails. When I asked her to please redo one of my nails, she became very impatient and exasperated with me and complained that I needed to hold my hand still with the dip. She redid the nail very hurriedly and roughly and was clearly annoyed with me. I would have walked out then but nails were not complete. Silence followed for the next 20 minutes. When nails were done she tried being nice and telling me how nice they looked. What a pathetic human being, trying to be nice for her tip. I gave her $10, walked to the counter to pay and very nicely told the gentleman that I would not be returning ever again. Had been a customer for years, but no more after a pretty disappointing experience waiting over an hour today to start a gel pedicure. Zero communication about or acknowledgement of the exceptional wait. If you're slammed or short handed, inform the customer when they arrive, or when the wait starts to get long, not after they have already been sitting there over an hour and are walking out. What was more frustrating, is that they went ahead and took my kids first and therefore finished them completely before even making eye contact with me about starting. I was only paying for my kids so that they would not be bored while I got my pedicure. Now I still don't have a pedicure, I blew $30 keeping them busy while i waited, and not going to have a chance to get a pedicure now because they'll have nothing to do. This is the worse nail salon in Boston. I've never met such "rude" nail techs. The owner is extremely rude too, she never says hello back. They are "BULLIES", and yell at their customers. They will treat you extra rude if you dont tip them at least $10. If you are not satisfied with their work, they will blame the customer instead of just fixing the problem. Lynn's Nails just opened its business within the past two weeks, but I am already a big fan and have switched my normal nail salon to this one. Amazing service for a ridiculous price. SUPPLIES: I was very impressed with how the place was furnished. Everything looked sharp. The nail desks were well lit, with big comfy chairs and arm pads on marble surfaces. Well lit, clean, and smells good. They carry a great variety of OPI polishes in beautiful colors, both unique and traditional. I love variety, my biggest peeve is seeing 230 shades of pink and not a single blue or purple polish. The dryers are up-to-date! I noticed they do have mini-fans, but I had my nails dried under a UV-desk and they were dry in half the normal time. No more accidental creases! SERVICE: This was the first manicure I had where I wasn't nervously glancing at what was being done to my nails. Mya repaired my cracking, painful nail and covered it up to look like new. She was careful, unrushed, and detailed. The best part? The 10-minute arm-shoulder-neck rub. She got knots out in places I didn't know knots could be. It was completely unexpected, I usually get a quick palm rub, but no complaints here! Soooo good after a day of work! PEOPLE: The first salon where people asked what my name was. A third person rushed out to hold the door for me and ask my name as well. I like that. A lot. There was no shyness here due to language barriers or anything else. It all feels genuine. Mya was kind, conversational, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Exactly how you should feel after any beauty treatment! Lynn's Nails is a model as to how all nail salons should be for the following reasons: 1) There price list is actually printed on the back of the business cards, unlike most places which use a slide board to display their prices. Ever notice how a lot of the numbers seem to be missing from the slide boards? If the intention was for them to be permanent prices, the plastic numbers wouldn't slide off on a whim, would they? 2) They're clean - you always see someone cleaning a station or washing out the foot soaking bins. 3) The work is consistent. I have never left unsatisfied when I have a french manicure or pink and white gel. You get what you pay for. 4) You can walk-in without being treated like you're an afterthought. They will help you as soon as they can or give you a realistic wait time. 5) Tips are accepted on credit cards, which is a rarity in nail salons. 6) The employees are friendly and they take their time with you. I would definitely recommend this place for eyelashes! They have very good prices , 60$ for full set and 30$ for refill! They last very very long, about 3 weeks. I am a very big fan of eyelash extensions and I went through so many salons. I was surprised the way they put them, it is very fast and I have no problems with glue. In some salons they use bad quality glue, so it is burning your eyes. Personally I had better luck with Sassy. When she puts eyelashes on me they always look great and stay long. I have NEVER had a manicure so bad that I had to go home and re-do myself, the very same day. The technician did a horrible job shaping my nails. Even after using a brush dipped in remover to clean up her mistakes, I still had nail polish spilling over my cuticles. Absolutely the worse manicure I have ever had in my life. During the manicure, I hit my hand while moving for the second coat. The polish chipped on three of my nails. Any technician worth their salt would have re-done at least the worst of the three, but this woman just splashed another coat on top of the smudges. My pointer finger ended up looking like it had a big dent in the middle. The pedicure was ok...She only did one coat because she was distracted by the most adorable little boy, a son of a customer. This is my "go to" place. I like to schedule my appointment on Sunday mornings right when the shop opens and it's not busy. Easy to get to, minutes from home. Didn't realize it had already started drizzling when I was leaving the house. Buses weren't running yet and walking would make me late to my scheduled appointment. Spent at least 10 minutes trying to negotiate a "parking spot" inside the salon to place my bike for the 45-minute pedicure. What's sad is that there was more than enough space; there was only one other customer in the salon. Disappointed that I had to leave and that the employee lost income because she and her colleagues COULDN'T, i.e. they said they weren't allowed to, accommodate my request.
