I was recommended to this place by the funeral home we used for my mom's funeral. I was disappointed when I arrived at the funeral that the arrangement that I ordered was not the one at the funeral. I had someone take a photo for me so I can report the issue to the florist, which I did the next day. I called the florist and the first thing out of the mouth of the person on the phone who said they are the manager was "Well it past already, so it's nothing we can do about it now". I thought that was the rudest thing to say to someone still in mourning from their mom passing. They said they would give me a call back, which they never did. I waited 2 days and then I decided to go down to the shop personally. Their actions were even ruder than on the phone call. I was told that they can make me a new arrangement, which I said why would I want an arrangement after the funeral. Then they offered me a credit to use for a future order, which I said no because after the things said to me thus far I would never want to use them and I don't trust they would honor it. Then they offered to give me $40 back after I spent $195 on an arrangement that I didn't get. I said no that's not enough. Then the guy goes to say that I should have called him when I saw it was wrong. So this guy wanted me to step out from funeral while mourning my mom to tell them that a flower was wrong? As if he can fix the issue in get it to the funeral within minutes. That was the dumbest thing to say and at this point I'm getting furious due to his ignorance. I then told him that I would accept nothing less than $95 back from the order. He said no, and so I said at this point I will just take the steps to make sure I get a full refund. The fact that they are not willing to give back a refund for a order they screwed up, just shows me they are money hungry and don't deserve to serve any community. It's sad and a shame. I received flowers from a friend and I suddenly found fruit flies everywhere. Then I noticed at least several sitting on the leaves and petals of the flowers. All this tells me is that the flowers they use are cheap and unwashed. I eventually threw them out in less than 12 hours. They were pretty but full of dirty greenery. When I lifted the flowers from the vase, I noticed the greenery was also gross and slimy. I went to Fairway and bought liquid repellent that sits in a vessel and 15 fruit flies were collected overnight from this one bouquet. Like I said...pretty but dirty and disgusting. read more

OK this place SUCKS. I ordered flowers Tuesday Morning at 9:39 for a delivery by 4PM. After work I called and Michael from there tells me we did our best, the driver missed the 4PM delivery, the one guaranteed by noon, hmmm. No apologies, no I will make a nice arrangement for tomorrow just we did our best and it will be delivered tomorrow 1st thing. I call Wednesday 3 times, I explained to the woman and she says no no no Michael is not in today and we are doing a funeral, the driver will be back and deliver by noon again. Just called at 2:02 and they could not locate the business which is 1.1 miles away, 3 turns, 100 SQ foot building with HUGE sign which Michael confirmed oh yes we know it which I figured. So my question was why do you ask me my number and the recipients number if neither gets a call. As of now they are either out for delivery, the third time if true or just poorly ran. They had the highest reviews, the closest place, and the most excuses. Never had this with a florist before. With an impending retirement who knows if they are ever delivered. Be sure my card will be disputed. Still no apology, nasty attitude, sorry my business is interfering with your day. I thought this was a delivery florist. I would not reccomend them. I would never use them again, I don't care about an apology now, it's all not relevant. It's a small local business I tried to support. I truly hope the funeral on the next day did receive their flowers, I would hate to hear they did not, honestly. Upon looking I saw another negative review maybe more. If this place cared they would take action. Go to Google, there are 5 florist in that 3 mile radius, I just happened to pick the one named Lyndhurst because the town and the Google reviews. When calling to tell them they delivered dead flowers past the window again and everything was wrong all I got was finally a simple I'm sorry. Just pathetic of them. I was told by the recipient that my choice of florist made sense with the location however it sucks, I guess that's why they have all the negative reviews between Yelp and Google. My husband and I went to place an order for funeral flowers after my mother passed away. My husband wanted to pull me out of the store after the first few minutes, when we were left just standing without being assisted. It was obvious the business was not being run by the same owners we had dealt with for many years prior. When we finally got taken care of, we paid up front, and thought everything would be fine. When we arrived at the funeral home, we saw the three pieces we ordered, but they were a hot mess! The one piece had a complete set of dead carnations in it. Really! To celebrate a person's life, I get a bunch of dead flowers?! On the casket spray, some of the gladiolus' were shriveling. I was beside myself! The third piece was fine. I wanted to surprise her with something nice tonight and I knew the last thing in the world she would expect t out of the blue would be flowers. I try to support coal businesses whenever I can so o googled Lyndhurst and saw they were near by. I was able to place my order with delivery online and pay with no problem. It worked great. My husband and I got our wedding flowers from this place and we were both terribly disappointed. We went in here with high hopes. After talking to the owner about our vision, we were confident that she understood what we were looking for. We were so very wrong. The flowers we ordered for the cake were not open in time by a long shot. Half were sort of there by the day of the wedding but hardly. The other half took another week in the sun before they started opening and a couple never opened at all so I guess they were picked too early. Not very good at all. The arrangements I ordered for the church were supposed to be specific colors. We talked about what kind of flowers we wanted and came to a cost effective decision. We wanted a lot of bang for our buck and were told we would get it. We didn't. The arrangement lacked color and imagination. As I told the owner when I complained, it looked like a funeral arrangement. It was that dreary. It's not like I could complain the day of my wedding and tell them to fix it. By the time I saw the flowers, it was too late. I had planned to repurpose the church flowers for the reception and couldn't even do that because they weren't what I ordered in the slightest. In the end, after a fairly heated email and some emotional phone calls, we got a refund. That doesn't even come close to making up for ruining a good chunk of my wedding decor but it was a start. I am honestly just glad I opted to make my own bouquet. Who knows what I would have ended up with! All in all, this place needs a lot of work and help. read more

I was appalled by the service I received from this business. Lyndhurst Florist working in connection with ProFlowers DID NOT live up to what was promised on the ProFlowers website. When I received a thank you from the person I sent the flowers to they included a picture of the arrangement. All I can say is they were flowers but they were not the arrangement I ordered. When I called Pro-Flowers to register my complaint they said they would issue me a refund. I asked if I could speak to the florist who created the bouquet and I was told for privacy reasons they could not supply me with the name of the florist. About an hour later I received a phone call from an unidentified employee of Lyndhurst Florist who told me that he called my friend and threatened to send his driver back to collect the flowers. She was so stunned that she informed me of the conversation and told me the florist would be contacting me. He did contact me and he was rude & obnoxious. So lesson learned I will never use Pro-Flowers again as they had no regard for my privacy and my contract with them. Lyndhurst Florist has contracted with Pro-Flowers for referrals if there is a problem with their contract it certainly has nothing to do with me, there unprofessionalism scream volumes. Everyone has a bad day but this was an Epic Fail on both these businesses part. read more

Messed up my cousins wedding so much on the day of. Being in the bridal party, we got bouquets that were made with dead flowers that were falling apart within seconds. Didn't decorate the church at ALL although we paid extra for that. SENT HALF EMPTY CENTERPIECES filled with sticks!!!!!! We ordered BUNDLES of orchids. I received flowers from Lyndhurst Florist for my Birthday from my best friends. They were overstuffed in a vase that was way too narrow and small for the bouquet. The colors in the bouquet and the selection of flowers were awful. I got them on a Sunday and by Monday AM they were drooping. By Tuesday AM the leaves were all over the table. I couldn't find their phone number in the white or yellow pages of the phone book, but did find it on google. After many messages, I finally spoke with a Michael who made me feel that what I was saying was unbelievable. He told me he would correct it, but not how. After leaving at least three (3) more messages and no return calls, I finally went to the Florist. I met Michael who told me he was going to deliver a new bouquet but was waiting for the same flowers. Ha! Why send me the same flowers if the others were dead. I told him to call first as I have a job and not always home. Three days went by and he endeavored to deliver the new bouquet on the day I told him I would not be home. When I called again, he finally re-delivered them on a day I was at home. The new bouquet and flowers were still overstuffed in the vase and the flowers selected were awful. This bouquet lasted 3 days. I didn't want to hurt my friends feelings as they do not live in the Lyndhurst Area and selected this florist for my bouquet because it was a neighborhood florist. I finally told them and said "never order or recommend this florist to anyone". I can buy a bouquet of flowers in Shop Rite or Stop N'Shop for $6.00 and they last 10 to 14 days with no problem and they are beautiful (even purple roses). The flowers in the Lyndhurst bouquet were out of season, not arranged, but stuffed with greenery in a vase and the quality was not there. I don't know if these are new owners, because I have been living in this town over 45 years and I have never seen these people before nor have I ever in the past bought or received such inferior flowers from Lyndhurst Florist. I am very active in the Township and will make certain that I tell all the clubs, churches and groups that I belong to "Not to Buy or Order Flowers from Lyndhurst Florist. So unprofessional! This woman almost ruined my wedding! I showed her pictures exactly what i wanted and she promised to provide exactly that. On the day of my wedding she showed up NOT with a teardrop bouquet but with a few roses and a tail. As if that wasnt enough, she was auppoae to decorate our chuupah and when we got to the venue..chuuah wasnt touched. It wasnt even covered from the top!!!!!!! My sister used Maria for her wedding in June and what a disappointment it was. Her bouquets were literally dying by the time we left the church. Her bouquet was supposed to be full of orchids and have bling on it, and there were maybe 4 orchids and no bling what so ever. The bouquets were all so small we had a hard time telling which was the brides and which were for the bridesmaids. My sister was devastated until our hairdresser took some jeweled hair pins and jazzed it up. I was going to use Maria for my wedding this November but after seeing what my sister went through I had a change of mind. We had left a $1000 deposit in April and Maria called us in July to say hey you need to pay the balance. So I told her I wanted to see a sample of the manzanita centerpiece we discussed when I come for the meeting. Well she was late, and guess what, no centerpiece was made. She just wanted to come get the balance. She had no intention on showing us a sample. Her shop is so empty, smells like mildew, there are so many rumors of her closing and going out of business, although she swears she is just relocating. I told her I wasn't comfortable going forward with her as my florist so she offered my $1000 deposit to be refunded. Well I had to chase her down for months! Phone call after phone call, bit by bit. We told her we needed the full amount by a certain day and she dodged us saying she was going away for labor day weekend. So we reached out again today to get the last remaing $400. She paid my fiancee $396.13 (and about 26 dollars of that was in loose change!!) I called her back and told her this is unacceptable! I want the total amount due! So my fiancee had to drive back there again to get the last bit of it. She is RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, and a POOR BUSINESS WOMAN. DO NOT USE HER. Weddings are stressful enough and the last thing you need is a problem like this on your hands. read more
