I have to admit I am a bit on the fence about this one. The staff was really nice. They did…read moreX-rays and exam for no cost, and the staff answered all the questions we had. HOWEVER, what they charge is almost 2 times more than the other dentists we sought out for the same issue. Tho each dentist recommended an endodontist, this location was way more expensive. For comparison, they wanted $5900 to see the in office endodontist for 3d x-ray, root canal, and crown. We went to one of the other dentist for a total cost of $3800 for the same exact services. Ouch!! They offer what the call "insurance", but it's basically an annual charge to become a member for oh so slightly discounted rates. Sad thing is, they won't work with you on payments unless you qualify for financing which requires a high credit score. If you come in with excruciating pain and your insurance isn't very good, don't expect to get a fix unless you want to pay a premium out of pocket. However, I will say the staff, outside of the somewhat rude tech, was very helpful and kind. Dentist answered all of our questions, even coming back twice on our request to help answer some concerns. If the out of pocket cost wasn't so much, I would actually consider going back just because the of the very kind staff.

I came here because I was having a pretty severe toothache and was seen quickly. The person at the…read morefront and the person who took my x-rays were very nice, but when the dentist came in, I was bombarded with an extensive treatment plan. I obviously needed treatment on the tooth that was hurting, but the dentist I saw told me I needed: laser gum therapy, a cleaning, a follow-up appointment, a root canal, a new crown for that root canal, another cavity filled that she said needed a crown as well, and to get my wisdom teeth removed. She said all of this was urgent and the laser therapy was necessary "to get my gums back to healthy so I can just do regular cleanings after". I use a water flosser and brush in the morning, and at night I use the water flosser, string floss, electric toothbrush, tongue scraper, and mouthwash. I'm not sure what else I could be doing for my gums, and my new dentist agreed that the laser therapy was completely unnecessary. They pulled me into another room to discuss the cost, and I was given several sheets of paper listing everything I needed that was $12,800. I was offered payment plans to choose from if I wanted to finance it with them. Upon looking it over, I saw that the laser gum therapy was not covered by insurance at all at $150 PER QUADRANT and they had added a professional mouth guard, 2 fluoride gels for the guard, and 2 desensitizing gels for it as well. They also added an electric toothbrush for $120 but said nothing about it. I asked them to remove the laser gum therapy and she said "well the dentist put it on here so I can't remove it entirely but I can take half off". Excuse me??? I don't want the service but you "can't remove it"? I took my x-rays to Cleburne Dental Care and they said it's typical of this place and other chain dentistry places to get as much as they can out of you. Everything was necessary and urgent at Aspen Dental, but when I got a second opinion, I needed a filling and a root canal. Instead of paying $12,800 for treatment, I paid less than $900. Just the cleaning (including the laser therapy) was almost $900 after insurance that Aspen Dental quoted me. I will never go to a chain like this again. Cleburne Dental Care has more reasonable costs, very lovely staff, a clean office, and is more realistic in their treatment plans.
