She was told they would sedate her and do it in two phases (top & bottom). She was quoted $16,000 for the first phase and then they helped my mother open a line of credit to pay for it all. Thankfully she called me before she had the work done. I took her to my trusted family dentist when she came for a visit. Our dentist took new x-rays and said that in fact NOTHING they recommended was necessary. She also reviewed all of the billing codes they quoted and found questionable billing throughout - many codes were duplicated/unnecessary. She said what they wanted to do was absolutely criminal, and she is planning to report this practice to the TX State Board of Dental Examiners. I'm disgusted that someone would take advantage of an elderly patient like this, and I'm also left wondering how many times they've done this before. Terrible.

Dr Christensen wanted to send us to an oral surgeon and recommend dentures. He refused to pull the tooth or do anything to relieve the pain, he was very rude and condescending. My dad has Alzheimer's and did not know why we were leaving without getting anything done. We left and went to another dentist who pulled the tooth, they went above and beyond to help my dad. The office staff was friendly but I would not go there again. If I could give a negative rating if I could.

So I knew I needed to go to a dentist but I was concerned about the sensitive spots. But my concerns were lifted. The staff took me step by step through the procedures, cost, and recommendations. Most importantly, they noted my sensitive areas and cleaned them without much pain. I didn't know the sensitive areas were cleaned until I got home and stared at the mirror for about a hour.
